I liked this canyon more than Saklikent. The canyon is located 9 kilometers from Kemer in southern Turkey.
The canyon itself is a gorge about 6 meters wide (sometimes more, sometimes less) and up to 350 meters high. Numerous waterfalls fall from the walls, the water is a rich blue color, and pine trees grow on the banks of the river in its wide part.
From the entrance to the park to the canyon, you need to walk about 3 kilometers in one direction, climbing in height, about 150 meters. The trail is uncomplicated, the road is unpaved. By the way, for those who don't want to go, if the wagon goes straight to the canyon. But I advise, of course, to walk. There are great views along the way.
Do not miss the suspension bridge on the way to the canyon. Somewhere in the middle of the road, before approaching a steeper rise, there is a bridge on the right. After crossing it, there is a forest path that also leads to the exit. For a fee, you can do "canyoning" — walking along a river flowing in a canyon with alternating sections of wide water and ford.
The path runs along the river in the narrowest parts of the canyon. In some places, you can reach the walls with your arms outstretched.
Hello, everyone.
We visited the canyon on our own.
We had a rest in Goynuk and decided to go to the canyon on foot.
Yandex laid out a route and my son and I reached it from the hotel within an hour, through the town of Goynyuk.
Through the quiet and deserted streets, admiring the mountains, bright flowers and pomegranates hanging on almost every corner.
The road after the town goes along the right side of the Goynyuk River, through a pine forest and reaches almost the entrance to the canyon.
Entrance is paid - $ 5 / person.
This ticket gives you the right to stay on the territory of the reserve, to inspect it without time limit. Along the way along the canyon there are cafes, waterfalls, backwaters and mini dams.
The beach is landscaped, where we calmly swam twice in a mountain lake.
The water is cool but comfortable.
The road is gradually gaining altitude....
You will see a transitional hanging bridge over the abyss. We walked through it, took a photo and went on.
Nature in all its pristine beauty.
We reached the narrowest part of the canyon. Here you can buy an additional ticket and ride an inflatable boat with an instructor or swim with an instructor in vests, a helmet, and aquasocks along the canyon itself.
The ticket costs $35.
We didn't.
On the way back, we went to the beach again and swam in a mountain lake.
The total walking time was about 4.5 hours and the distance was 12 km.
I recommend visiting in the morning, it won't be so hot.
Take swimsuits and swimming trunks for swimming in a mountain lake.
Comfortable shoes are necessary, preferably sneakers, because the road is stone, mountainous.
Caps, water.
Diversify your beach vacation.
Pros: an amazing place of power.
Cons: previously, the passage was free, now you have to pay for everything, somewhere the prices are greatly inflated.
We were 07.10.2024 (at 11 o'clock) An amazing place, we got from Kemer by taxi (550tl), then bought a ticket for body surfing and could get upstairs by jeeps (1225tl). It is better to go there by jeeps, of course, and it is more interesting to walk back. A wetsuit is provided for bodylifting, but unfortunately it does not cover all legs and arms. The water in the canyon is very cool, but because If not by boat, then you can walk to the big waterfall. Be sure to take a waterproof case, the phone can be fixed in a vest. They also give you a helmet and corals. Be careful, the stones are very slippery. There are stairs and caves along the way, it's very interesting.
We walked back, climbed a couple of rope bridges, and there are interesting pumpkins in the shape of heads at the bottom of the mountain.
We walked back past the school and went out onto the highway, there was a stop there and returned to Kemer on dolmush (35tl).
