Good road, beautiful nature. An unusual historical landmark. Definitely worth a trip and a look. There is a full description near the stone according to the QR code
It's a beautiful place. The entrance to the Korinsky gorge. An ancient stone with Buddhist drawings. The Kora River flows nearby. Further along the gorge there is a road to hydroelectric power stations and apiaries.
In his famous article “Buddhist image on a stone in the Tekeli area”, Mikhail ANTONOV, a historian from the Zhetysu Economic Institute, described the ancient shrine in great detail: “Traces of primary processing are visible on the front surface of the stele. On top, in the center of the stone itself, there is a depression of natural origin filled with water, which is kept there all year round and is revered by locals as a saint. The lotus image symbolizes an Indian pagoda, such as the Gapuram of the great temple in Madura (XVII century) and the great pagoda in Thanjavur (XV century). There are similarities with sculptures and images of the Great Temple of Shiva. No analogues have been found with any other monuments.”
Zainolla SAMASHEV, a well-known Kazakh scientist, chief researcher at the A. Margulan Institute of Archaeology, claims that the Tekeli stone is almost unknown to science. It is obvious that there is an image of a Buddhist stupa on it. Magical purification rites probably took place there. Because the stupa is the material embodiment of the Buddha himself. According to faith, all who come into contact with her (see her, walk around, make offerings), thereby gain great spiritual merits, are freed from suffering. Lamas claim that the energy power of the stupa is limitless. Her blessing is spread with the help of all the elements of nature. The place in front of the entrance to the Korinsky Gorge was chosen by the ancients for a reason – all four elements are optimally combined here: water, earth, wind and fire (sun). Whoever sets foot on this land gets the benefit.
It feels incredible. An ancient dragon carved on a stone. There is water on top that does not freeze and does not evaporate. The mystery of this place.
An interesting place. It is a tourist attraction. It testifies to the arrival of tribes associated with the Buddhist faith in this place. It's a very interesting place. People please don't draw on it.
The stone in its own way gives off a story, a calorific. And as a tourist destination, it's a tick for us.
But it would be possible to make landscaping near it. If we say something about the stone itself, then there is a "footprint" of the Buddha in front, a dent in the back like a dinosaur's paw, and there are also Chinese characters. But in general, it gets boring in 5 minutes.
It is a sacral significant place, but there is no landscaping and it is depressing.
There are not enough shops and bins, garbage is left right there on the ground
A stone with hieroglyphs or petroglyphs and a plaque next to it.... and nothing more.... well, let's say 1 time to take a look, you can continue to go to see the beauty of nature 😁
