It's a good place. Street food without show-offs. Delicious and inexpensive. There aren't many tables and chairs to sit on, and they're all squalid)
But it's normal.
Things are full of stuff. But I bought myself some cheap polarized glasses. Probably enough for a couple of months)
There is a good market not far from the hotel, people from all over the area go there and come running from other hotels. It works 3 days a week MON THU FRI open from 17-21 somewhere (according to my observations) I take fruits, pastries, seafood here, prices are lower than in eateries. The selection is large, from small items to groceries and ready meals.
There is nothing special about this market. In April 2025, fruits of average quality were taken three times. The food here is very specific. Everything is better and tastier on Knighton. Don't waste your time. It may be suitable for Thais, and it is focused more on locals.
A very atmospheric place, it will remind our markets from the 90s. The assortment includes both food and clothes. Food prices are certainly lower than in the same cafe shops on the beach, but to get there, you need 10-15 minutes to stomp along a busy highway on the side of the road, so this thorny path is not suitable for everyone. In general, as they say, the walking person will master the road.
Do not hesitate to bargain, a good bargain. Everything is fresh and of good quality. The price tag is not high. People are friendly merchants: what they are to them is how they are to you. It is enough to say a few words in Thai (be sure to memorize-a tribute) and you will be treated well.
It's just a super market. You can find everything from food to things here. You can try food right on the spot, everything is cooked delicious and not harmful. It's worth a visit.
Kamala Night Market is a very colorful place, the only thing to catch is when the market arrives. They collect it in 3-4 hours and the market leaves just as quickly
