I am lowering my rating for the fact that the museum was moving to another location. I did not understand why museum specimens need to be collected when tourists visit the museum. They're going to run over the legs of the weaklings. The bulk of the wealth was looted several years ago. Of the valuable things, it was interesting to see Tutankhamun's mask and jewelry. Be prepared for the fact that it will be hot, a lot of tourists and the lack of toilet paper in the toilets! It is specially hidden by employees in order to sell it to you for money!
in general, the museum is good, but our guide was bad, he came into the hall and said "look for yourself, I'll wait for you here", which probably ruined everything
A must for the room! The most ancient history is in front of your eyes. You can take pictures almost everywhere. It is better to go with a guide. The price is quite reasonable.
Very interesting! It is a pity that parts of the exhibition began to be moved to another museum in Giza. You need a guide for the first time, otherwise you can miss a lot of interesting things. There is not enough air conditioning, it is hot enough. The ticket price is 300 pounds. It is necessary to visit at least once!
The museum is very informative, of course, it is obligatory to visit. There is a huge queue in the hall where Tutankhamun's mask is. There is another museum - the Egyptian Civilization, there are fewer crowds, but there are fewer exhibits.
It's incredibly interesting! A huge plus is that you can touch it after honoring it . I was upset that some of the exhibits had already been taken away and packed into an innovation museum that has not yet been opened. As well as the fact that it is forbidden to take pictures in the hall where the mask and the sarcophagus of Tutankhamun are made of gold . And this is one of the most popular exhibits
The great Museum. It is a pity that there is always not enough time to explore the expositions of the huge collection. A standard tour and of course the Tutankhamun Treasure Hall.
The richest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts - from huge statues to small jewelry.
Some of the showcases are missing or empty, apparently some exhibits have been moved to the new museum, which is scheduled to open in 2023.
Unfortunately, many of the exhibits are without signatures, some of the signatures have been visible since the opening of the museum, many of the exhibits are covered with a layer of dust inside the showcases. The storefronts themselves are wiped from the outside, but access inside is apparently difficult or impossible, judging by the number of locks on the doors of the storefronts. The score for the meeting is 6 points, for the design - 3.
You can take pictures, except for two halls. They said at the checkout that you can take photos for free, although the cost of 50 pounds hangs above the cash register.
If you are not visiting the museum as part of an excursion, then in addition to two controls with frames, you will also have to go through the third one - at the entrance to the museum territory.
Here I would say that this is not a museum, but a dump of antiquities. There are a lot of interesting things, it's worth a look, but the implementation is 20 years behind the world. In addition, some of the exhibits migrated to the Museum of the History of Civilizations.
Maybe my impression was underestimated by our very cursory tour of the museum. Wow effect - I somehow didn't feel it. Groups are given headphones through which the guide tells, the sound is regulated. The entrance to one door, the exit was cleverly made through the corridor of souvenir shops. There is an open cafe on the territory (at the exit), I have not visited it.

I visited this museum for the third time... this time in early January after 13 years, and each time it was not enough for me. There is a lot to see, but time is always limited for it. There are a lot of people at the entrance, they stood for 30-40 minutes to pass. Of course, there is something to see... even though some of the exhibits have already been moved to the new Cairo Museum. If possible... set aside at least half a day for it.
The golden mask of the Pharaoh alone is worthy of all praise, not to mention everything else! The museum is very large and very interesting! It is definitely worth visiting at least once in your life!
Very interesting, in 2 hours with a guided tour, of course, not everything can be seen, it will be right the most basic thing, to get around the whole you need of course the whole day
Definitely need to visit! To see what our ancestors were capable of more than 4.5 thousand years ago... It's just breathtaking!
We were in the middle of June. There were few people. We quickly found a Russian-speaking guide in front of the entrance, who gave us a good tour.
I wish the rest of you the same
If you are a lover of the ancient history of Egyptian civilization or just came to the country for a trip, then you are definitely here. If you do not tolerate the heat at the same time, come to inspect the exposition in winter. It's more comfortable this way.
There are many interesting expositions, but it is unclear where to get an audio guide. I ask, they don't understand. If someone speaks Russian, they don't understand what is needed. We walked around the halls , walked without him. Translating the inscriptions from English was a little tedious. Tutankhamun's mask cannot be photographed, the guard shouts in a wild voice at the photographers
The most interesting part of the tour to Cairo was the Museum, we were lucky enough to visit the old one, it will be closed soon and everyone will move it to the new museum.I advise everyone who has not been there to definitely visit this mysterious place
A large building. There is almost no crowd, except for two rooms. But it's understandable. There is one of the most expensive relics.
I definitely recommend it for viewing.
A super museum, many masterpieces, but old and dirty, so many exhibits are transported to the new Museum of Egypt and the museum of Egyptian civilization.

It is impressive and fascinating from beginning to end, very intense and informative!
An interesting museum, considered an old museum.there is a large exposition, the ticket is bought only by a bank card, there is no cash. The halls are a little stuffy.
Impressive! It is required to visit. But there is no way without a guide. We were with a guide from the museum. We are very satisfied. The journey through Egypt began with this museum.
An excellent collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts! It is very informative and exciting! I think that the Egyptian Museum does not need recommendations and is mandatory to visit.
An old shabby building with a lot of people. Repairs obviously won't hurt. Inside is the centuries-old dust of history. In general, an amateur. There are tents with food and souvenirs on the territory, the prices are space
