I would give this hotel a 4.5 rating! The location is as convenient as possible, as it is the city center and all historical attractions are within walking distance. The staff is pleasant and friendly. The hotel itself is neat, not dirty, the room is cleaned every day. There is a nice little communal terrace outside where you can sit and drink tea on a rocker or smoke (for smokers). The dining room is located on the top floor, where a beautiful view opens - this is one of the biggest advantages of the hotel; the breakfasts are monotonous and with a small assortment, but the most basic is available: coffee/ tea, eggs/ scrambled eggs, fruits and vegetables, porridges. The only negative is the smoke from smoking on the ground floor, but it just so happened since we lived on the first floor. Otherwise, the hotel is as pleasant, good and comfortable as possible!
We went in March 2025. The location of the hotel is convenient. There are many cafes, restaurants, and a couple of supermarkets around. Sultanahmet Square, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia are also nearby. Everything around the hotel is beautiful, clean, and peaceful in the evening. Despite the low noise insulation, we did not notice any unnecessary noises and sounds, we slept well. The room itself is tiny, but that's okay. We got a view of another hotel (non-smoking) on the third floor. One administrator speaks Russian well, others poorly, but you can explain yourself. Everyone speaks excellent English. There were two single beds in our room, so we had to move them side by side. On the trail. One day we had our mattresses replaced with a double one. The shower was leaking, but it wasn't a problem. The closet was empty, and three or four hangers could barely stand the clothes. The safe was not used, although it was. The dining room is located on the fourth floor. The hotel has an elevator by the way. There is a beautiful view of the city, the Bosphorus, the Sea of Marmara. The food is normal: omelets, sausages, sausages, cheese, even olivier salad and much more every day. The baking changed sometimes. There was sweet stuff too. Tea, coffee, juices. We cleaned the room every day. We tipped 10-20 lire. The water bottles were given only on the day of arrival. They didn't give me any more, which was a minus, I had to buy every day in stores so that at least some drinking water would be in the room. Then, when I got used to it, I started going upstairs to the dining room and taking water from the cooler there. Overall, we liked the hotel. I recommend you to take a closer look, especially if you are visiting Istanbul for the first time or are interested in the old city.
It was in early April 2025. A very nice, small, but very cozy hotel in the center of Istanbul. There is an elevator in the hotel. The location is excellent, it takes about 8 minutes to walk to the Blue Mosque, and from there to other museums and even to the bazaar in 20 minutes. The hotel room is small but quite cozy, there is a mini fridge, a safe, an air conditioner with a convenient control panel, a mirror, a hairdryer and other pleasant little things. The room is cleaned every day, it's clean enough. The bed is comfortable, the mattress is not sagging, there was an extra blanket in the closet in case it was cool, but Candeille works on heat and there is heating, it was not cold. The breakfasts are very good compared to other hotels of the 3⭐️ category, which was important enough for me. Breakfasts were held from 8 to 10 a.m. on the 4th floor with a stunning view of the Bosphorus, where you could see not only ships but sometimes dolphins splashing! Very nice, friendly and caring staff, there are Russian speakers, which is also a big plus.
