A good hotel, especially the UAI. There are a lot of British and Bulgarians. Every day there is entertainment, artists perform. The rooms are clean, a little shabby, but everything is fine. The kitchen is good, the assortment is normal, but not the largest, you can't try all the dishes. Lots of bars. There is one round-the-clock place where you can have a snack. The staff is friendly. But they hardly speak Russian. There is a long embankment next to the hotel, where you can buy gifts, or sit for dinner, for those who are tired of the hotel's food. But personally, I'm not tired)) it turns out that the hotel is on the edge of Fethiye. You can walk to the city, but you can also take a taxi 400 lira to the old town. However, I advise you, prices in the old town are 1.5-2 times more expensive than on the embankment. And finally, about the excursions. Near the town of Kash, very beautiful, gorge
Nice hotel. Small. The room stock is without complaints. The food is plentiful and delicious. Three a la carte restaurants, lots of bars. I had fun every night.program. Several pools. The entrance to the sea is pebbles + sand. The sea is clear. The city center is 15 minutes away by taxi. About a kilometer from the hotel, there is a pedestrian zone along the embankment with restaurants and shops. The hotel is aimed at the British. The Internet is unstable, especially by the sea. Overall, the impressions are very good (2 adults + 16 l. reb)
There will be a lot of text, but for those who want to choose a good hotel, it will be useful to know our experience.
We chose Fethiye because they praise the sea and the nature of these regions. And what happened to the jiva hotel, see below ⬇️
Animation:
The program during the day:
Darts is not possible to play due to the number of people, British schoolchildren played in a crowd + the rules are not explained at the beginning
Nobody will explain the rules to you either.
And anyway, if you don't speak English well. Only one girl at the reception speaks Russian, the rest are either Turkish or British English (which is a little difficult to make out)
As for the show, there are two options for how it will take place:
1 live music by the pool
2 circus
The live music on the first day of our arrival at the hotel was good, the band performed. And one day there was a guy who sang mostly in Turkish, but it was also very pleasant to listen to him. That's basically all, out of the 9 days that we were there, another day a girl who was difficult to listen to performed and one day the same band again as on the first day, although they were not in costumes as before, and not as incendiary, maybe tired of singing the same thing several times.
The circus is still a "circus", it's very cool to watch a day, well, two at most, but it's the same every time, yes, the circus comes from different countries, then Ethiopia, then Ukraine, then Mongolia. But the circus, it's a circus in Africa, it's great to watch, but it's not the same every day, after all…
I didn't like the beginning of each show in the amphitheater terribly, there are two presenters, the first one with long hair is an animator (he sings great on sunset vibes go at 18:30 (the main thing is not to get on the DJ, he's a boneless one))
The second Turk with a short haircut in a jacket
They ALWAYS start playing music from a paper house the same way, they shout "hey-hey-hey" and then only in Turkish very quickly and incomprehensibly begin a useless stand-up for 10-15 minutes, they do not translate into other languages, as you want and understand.
Oh yes, and every time the show was delayed, it never started on time for 5-30 minutes there was always a delay
Waiters:
Waiters for lunch / dinner offer water (they pour it for everyone) and drinks, I will not say that they do nothing, but often, you can see them chatting in a crowd gathering near the counter
It often happened that we went out for sweets, returned, and the plates with the main dish that had been finished for a long time were still on the table
Food:
The food in the hotel is good, I will not say that it is round the clock, but a very decent choice. There is always a large selection for breakfast/lunch/dinner
Now separately.
Breakfast:
The choice is always the same, but there is everything at once and pancakes / pancakes / waffles. In previous hotels, breakfast changed a little from day to day, immediately decided to do everything, but the same every day. It depends on how you love and what your soul is for. I like it better when waffles alternate with pancakes, for example, so that there is some kind of surprise coming to breakfast)) the same applies to omelets/egg dishes
Lunch / dinner:
The choice is huge, especially the serving of fried fish, usually boneless steak, kebabs and a lot of other things, has never been to go hungry or tasteless. I would especially like to mention the rolls that the Chef makes for dinner, they are just very tasty. As a result, I do not understand the British who take fast food for lunch and dinner every day…
Desserts:
The desserts are incredibly beautiful, just like from the best pastry shops in Moscow. But the problem is that most often this is "expectation and reality", for the most part all desserts that look beautiful are mousse in different shapes and colors: in the form of an eclair /circle / piece of cake, etc
. I don't know, it's sad to just have mousse that tastes the same.
The most delicious desserts are chocolate ganache with nuts, but it is quickly disassembled and no longer put on, it was only 2 days out of 9.
Pannacote creme brulee is also very tasty, literally every day they took it, but they also quickly disassemble it. Turkish sweets as such are served with 5-6 trays for dessert, but they all taste the same, just different shapes. One evening we were treated to handmade chocolates, it was very tasty!!!
Fruit:
No wow, I'll say this, there were no cherries and strawberries even once in July, the watermelon is not sweet, the poor pale melon lies there, too green.
Apples and grapefruit were the only ones I ate, and well, peaches/nectarines, I took them to the room to ripen (they were solid if eaten immediately)
Sea:
In a word, it's sad. If it is more detailed, there is no transparent color of the sea, the buoys are terribly close, you can almost walk to them in the literal sense. The water is warm, waves and dirty water near the shore.
Beach:
The beach is sandy (there is only one place where you can wash your feet, at the exit from the beach) and the shower is also behind the bar + there is ice water in it, the entrance to the sea is not large pebbles, it is, in principle, comfortable to enter.
Swimming pool:
There are 4 pools in total, one paddling pool for children, the second paddling pool with slides, the third is more or less large with a depth of 140, but it is always filled with Brits, so it was not comfortable to go there, because you are like herrings in a barrel there, and the fourth pool is another paddling pool with a Jacuzzi, and the one that worked Only once
Bar:
There are a lot of bars, alcohol is good, imported, not diluted, the selection of cocktails is large and they are delicious, the main thing is that citric acid is not poured there, otherwise booooee, there are paid cocktails and wines from 10 euros
Eating out of lunch:
If you want to eat between lunch or after dinner, there are 3 places where you can do it
1 bar with sandwiches and sweets (around the clock, but soup at certain hours)
2 vans near the beach, the menu is different from the restaurant, delicious, we recommend: a snack plate + a burger (yes, here it is delicious and convenient to quickly eat it on the beach +ice cream with waffle)
3 there is a place near the main pool, also a different menu, with more choice than near the sea, we didn't try anything there, but sometimes you can go in (for some reason they don't write anywhere near it)
Number:
Our room was an attic, don't listen to anyone that it's bad there
Everything was fine with us! The room is well renovated, with a slightly leaking shower (but they flow a lot where, and even more so in the hotel)
Yes, the room heats up faster than on the 1/2 floor, I think, but it's not stuffy, there is a full balcony + air conditioning
Coffee:
The worst coffee I've ever tasted. Wherever you take it at breakfast / in the snack bar / at a special coffee point, absolutely everywhere it is terrible, bitter, overcooked
It's 10,000 times worse than in a burger joint
Before that, we were in Marmaris in a 5-star hotel, too, but which did not pull for these five stars, so even there the coffee was better
The hotel is a five, but not the best for the money
The strongest side of the hotel is lunches and dinners, and the food itself in general. The rooms are also great, but the cleaning was not always in the morning, there were days when there was no one in the room from 7 a.m. to 15 p.m. and during this time the room was not cleaned + a couple of times the cleaner forgot something (then the garbage will remain, then the foot towel will not be put in the bath, but it oh, how necessary it is because of the eternally flowing cabin), but the cleaners are needlewomen, they made swans a couple of times and once a very cool monster with eyes!
I would also like to mention cocktails and a bar, delicious.
The main disadvantages:
Sea
The presence of showers and icy water in them
is a shallow overflowing pool
