The hotel is small and cozy, quiet!)The rooms are standard, but everything is there!!Great sea view, good breakfasts. There's a cafe nearby where the locals eat, it's scary but the dishes are delicious and the portions are large!)
Nice hotel, stayed for 10 days in February.
Breakfast according to the menu selection system, everything is delicious and satisfying. You can take something for an additional fee.
Ocean.. There are not enough words to describe it.. Delight, the temperature of the water is like the temperature of the air, we often swam alone.
The sand is velvety, there are a lot of crabs at night, by the way.
The pool is also not bad, the water was heated insanely during the day, really.
The recreation and sunbathing areas are excellent, everything is convenient.
The rooms are quite clean, the renovation is certainly not new, but quite normal, nothing falls off anywhere, just a little worn furniture from time to time.
The staff was also friendly, quickly solved all issues, cleaning every day, changing clothes about once every 4-5 days, probably.
A supermarket is 7-10 minutes away along the road, there are cafes and restaurants in nearby hotels.
You can catch a bus right at the hotel. Well, or tuk tuker.
P.S. Tuktuker Zoysa is a cool guy, you can bargain, he will take you everywhere and even to the nearest provinces for adequate money)
Excellent budget location
The rooms are clean
There is no kettle and no hair dryer, but that's not a problem.
There is boiling water at the reception, and they can also give you a hairdryer.
The food is delicious. Full breakfasts
For a little money, you can have a great dinner
nearby there are many cafes.
The staff is helpful and friendly
The view from the room is gorgeous
I recommend
The hotel made a pleasant impression on me. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily, and towels were changed every day. The breakfasts were hearty, and I especially liked the sausages.
Nice hotel! Friendly staff! We took rooms with ocean views, incredibly beautiful. Sometimes the room wasn't even closed, there was no theft. The breakfasts are very spicy, for an amateur, like all food in Sri Lanka. We went to Denis's place next door to eat🤣 the seafood is very tasty
Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet our expectations. We had to pay extra for a room with an ocean view, because on the first night we were moved into a very small room where plaster was falling(
But you can close your eyes to this, because the ocean was right in front of your eyes 😍
The tour included only breakfast, so we often went to a nearby cafe for dinner. In general, this was enough for us, as the portions there were large.
Cleaning was carried out every day, for which you can put a big plus, but ants were crawling around the room.
Nice hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff, they don 't speak Russian. We were at the end of April , the beginning of May , there were no people at all . The beach is empty ) Incredibly beautiful beach, with beautiful sunsets. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel, the owner of Dinesh is very hospitable.
I can't say anything positive about the hotel. The photos don't correspond to reality. Everything is old and torn. The only advantage is the deserted and beautiful beach, but the ocean water is mixed with river water!
Good location! The rooms are old but clean! The staff is helpful! The beach is super when compared with other hotels. Turtles come to this beach to procreate!
I had a vacation in November 2024, I left a review about the hotel, but it was not published. The whole hotel itself and the staff are one solid MINUS! The territory is not well maintained, hotel accommodation is one disappointment! I do not recommend it to anyone! There are a lot of other hotels nearby where tourists are welcome! Unlike the staff of the G hotel!
The hotel is quite consistent with all the photos that are on the Internet. It is small with a compact territory. A nice pool with a convenient opening time from 7 a.m. to 22 p.m. The rooms are spacious. There is a refrigerator, a safe. However, there were no instructions for using the safe in our room and we could not use it. Upon check-in, they found that the faucet in the bathroom was wobbling, after contacting the reception, it was promptly repaired. The hotel staff is friendly and tries to make the stay of the guests comfortable. Beach towels are always available, if suddenly they are not lying next to the reception, then, upon request, they will be brought immediately. The hotel is on the first line, but the place for swimming, of course, is for an amateur-there were big waves almost all the time, but people were swimming. I wish there were more sun beds, but there are not enough of them when the hotel is fully loaded.
In general, if you don't like big hotels, then you will like it here.
The condition of the rooms does not match the photos, everything is much worse. Hot water is often lost. The staff is good, sometimes they do not immediately understand (or do not understand correctly), but it is clear that they are trying. Upon check-in, we were sent to the basement, we had a room with a sea view, then immediately the manager asked if we wanted to go to the upper floors (of course we wanted to), but the condition was that the first night in this case we had to live in a room with a view of the road. Apparently this is their standard scheme, because that room in the basement was always empty.
The location is excellent. The beach is gorgeous. The staff is trying very hard. Cleaning every day. Of the cons: the rooms were killed, we lived on the ground floor there were problems with hot water. She just wasn't there.
It was the best vacation of my life, hello to Daniel from Lakurumba Cafe. A 5-star hotel by ambalangoda standards, a beach where there are no tourists right behind the hotel with stunning views and sunsets, very good breakfasts at the hotel. I recommend it!!!
Perhaps I have the best memories and impressions left! Clean beach, good food, friendly staff. And most importantly, it is an absolutely deserted place. If you need peace and relaxation. Welcome)
A heavenly place, the beach is just a fairy tale and even the frightening waves are just waves and when you go swimming they don't really interfere! For the sake of such a beach, it is worth visiting Ambalagoda
