I lived here for 2 months, in October and November. I recommend it with a mark of 5+!!! The best affordable hostels in Almaty.
For me, the priority was to keep it clean and close to the metro. Compared to other hostels, it turned out to be not just clean, but clean like in 4-star hotels, and it feels not like a hostel, but like a country house, and you're on vacation from all the hustle and bustle of major megacities.
It is immediately visible when the hostelkeeper is watching the business. I was in other hostels, there were garbage cans in the kitchen for days near the refrigerator, dishes were not washed all around. Here in Izmir, it was possible to understand only from one photo when choosing what would be comfortable and atmospheric, which was not a mistake. The hostel is small, for about 20 people, very cozy.
It's comfortable to work remotely from here - there are large tables in the common room, and no one makes any noise during the day. A cozy and clean kitchen corner. Shared shower, washing machine, drawers for things with a key are locked, which was also important for me when searching and choosing a hostel. In a capsule, as in your own room (this is a big plus of this hostel, unlike others, where there are 6 people in a room and everything is in an open space) - here, separately from everyone, is a paradise for introverts. The capsule has a light, a fan, hooks for clothes or bags. The hostel and capsules are all made of wood, with a pleasant woody smell and atmosphere.
There is a sauna on the ground floor under the hostel (a hostel on the second floor).
7-10 minutes from the hostel there is a large shopping center with food and all necessary things. There are pharmacies and many cafes for different types of food. The metro is a 3-minute walk away, there are bus stops in different directions nearby, and a pharmacy is on the next street nearby.
I recommend it!
