If only to spend the night, then it will go. I had to stop, because other hotels in the center were already sold out. When I came in, at first I didn't even realize that I got to the "reception". Among the advantages are the location, bottled water, slippers, bathroom accessories, clean bed linen and towels. You will not be able to wash normally, because there is no hot water, it is barely warm. Tired room stock is an understatement. They take a deposit of 5 rubles (20 thousand tenge) and if everything is OK, they return it upon departure. The elevator is a separate art form. The audibility is excellent if the windows overlook the avenue - you will not be able to sleep even with the windows closed.

If you only need to spend 1 night, then it will do. There is a parking lot behind the building, it was always possible to park the car overnight. Towels and linen are clean. The air conditioner is working well, the refrigerator is not working, there is no kettle in the room
Unfortunately, the room was cleaned only for the 4th day.
The rooms are old, they said they had made repairs, but unfortunately I did not see them.
We resettled 2 times: the first room was very smoky and as dirty as possible.
The hotel requires a good repair and replacement of the carpet, the faucet in the bathroom and the bathtub itself.
All the time there was a renovation on the 5th floor, I must say that the time was limited from 10 to 18, so it did not interfere with sleeping.

When booking, we were guided by pleasant reviews on a well-known website, but this was a mistake.
On the plus side: the receptionist was warned that we would have an early check-in, and met us at 6:30 a.m. We checked in without any problems, paid 17,500 tenge for early check-in. Also, one of the advantages is that when we ran headlong from this hotel, they calmly returned the money to us. The administrators are great. The room has slippers, decent disposable soap and soap sets, two glasses and two bottles of water. There is no kettle.
Cons: dirt. Dirty carpet, dirty greasy walls, dirty bathroom. There is age-old dust, hair, stains around the bed. The furniture is all chipped. There is no light bulb in the bathroom lamp. The toilet is wobbly. The mixer is broken. The bathroom body is cracked. And there is also a killer smell of old tobacco smoke, to which the nose is not used even after a few hours of sleep in this room. At about 12 p.m., a hotel employee came into the room, shouted "people are sleeping here" and left. What was that? The hair dryer worked for exactly a minute — then it turned off and showed no signs of life.
We had an overnight flight, so we decided to sleep for a few hours at this hotel. As soon as we woke up, we immediately began to look for new housing and move out, because even the hotel "well, it's okay, we'll just come to sleep, the rest of the time in the city" hotel Iris does not pull. This hotel gave us nothing but disgust and disgust.

I checked into the Iris hotel Almaty in the morning. The flight was long and late, so I didn't choose anything for a long time. I noticed that the repair was old right away, but it happens. I was given a card, I opened the door, and from the threshold I was doused with such ambergris, as if a squad of truckers smoked in the room for a day, although a fine of 20,000 tenge was prescribed. I'm asthmatic, I immediately went downstairs to get a room change. I immediately noticed some kind of patch on the bed and some hair on the bed linen. I didn't have much energy to argue. Changed, fell down, fell asleep. I woke up to the fact that there were moans/screams in the neighboring rooms. He did not listen to this symphony, went to the city, went back to bed, noticed a bug on the bed, crushed it. I examined the bed, found the second one. I wanted to move out right away, but I was asked to stay in another room. I had a lot of things with me (overload), the payment has already been made + the time is night, I agreed. I was taken to the same smoky room that they had originally checked into. It already began to look like a mockery, I started looking for hotels nearby, meanwhile they gave me another room. I checked the bed in it, everything seemed to be OK. I went to the shower, the shower is broken. I went to bed, I looked at the ceiling, it was all scuffed because it was leaking. It looks recent. I tried to sleep, but I couldn't. I was thinking about whether there were additional tenants in this bed + there was some kind of noise all night, either from the air conditioner, or from some other device. The noise is clearly exceeding the permissible norms, such as a refrigerator or a TV. In general, I couldn't sleep even with earplugs.
Problems with the constant demagnetization of room cards, someone else's hair on the bed linen in different rooms, greasy stains on the headboards, noise from a car wash or whatever is under the windows at 6 a.m., power outage and Wi-Fi at night - this looks like minor troubles against the background of bedbugs.
I don't recommend it to anyone, it's a shame for a hotel in the city center. I bet 1, if I could, I would bet less. It is not worth 1 tenge spent.
And, well, I'll probably add that during the room change after the bedbugs, when I checked the bed linen, the maid giggled cheerfully. As she explained, because the situation is strange. It's really weird for me.

I took off 1 star for begging for a bathrobe (after the call at the reception I waited for 3 hours, later I reminded myself and an hour later I received it from a disgruntled maid), who informed me that she had a lot of work and no time for her, well, soap-snouts periodically begged. And yes, breakfast is not included. The room has never been cleaned in 5 days of stay. But since we mostly spent the night in the room only and in the city there was a full house with tourists, it was not critical at all

The contingent is mostly young and considering that the walls and doors are thin, you will hear sex all night (during the day too), and if you decide to go with a girl to privacy, then you will be heard :) Sometimes I can applaud from the next room :)) But in general, if you do not take a moment with the walls, the hotel is suitable for a quick overnight stay after the event, but I do not advise you to stay there for a long time!
As of December 2021, the robes clearly require a complete replacement, well, they have grown very old. Otherwise, this hotel is more like a motel in the center.

Nice hotel, but very thin walls. You can hear people talking in the neighboring rooms. I do not advise taking extreme rooms near the elevator, a bad smell from the elevator shaft comes through the ventilation. The rooms overlooking Nazarbayev Street are very noisy because of the sounds of passing vehicles. The advantages are a good breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms.
