The hotel is really located in the "wilderness", but for many it is more a plus than a minus. Free sun beds anywhere)) the coastline is long. It consists of several bays. The food is very diverse, a lot of meat dishes (pork, beef, lamb), fish (marlin, tuna, rarely salmon), mussels, shrimp. Any kind of fresh juices (fruits and vegetables). There is a gluten-free breakfast table. The two pools are 1.20m deep, and it is shaded in the morning, which is very convenient in the early days. Among the water activities there are free snorkeling, kayaking, a boat trip with a transparent bottom on the nearest reef, etc. (but we did not use them). The rooms are spacious, the cleaning is excellent.
If you plan to travel around the island by bus, then this area is definitely not for you, buses do not run here. But we took a car.,
We traveled around the island and were satisfied with both the rest and the hotel!
Good time of day! Today, my husband and I returned from a vacation that we spent on the wonderful island of Mauritius. At first we planned to rent a villa, but our plans changed and we chose a hotel last of all. Our choice fell on the Intercontinental. The first two days we were shocked, I will not write about the food, it is like everywhere else (European cuisine seasoned with local spices) . During the ten days of staying at this hotel, the dishes did not change. We were very impressed by the beach. There is no one in this hotel at all!!! The entire coastline is strewn with large bricks (of volcanic origin) and corals. On the second day of our arrival, we decided to walk around the island, and there is some kind of city beach nearby, but it's better not to go there without corals.
The hotel itself is located in mangroves, there is no infrastructure nearby. So, if you want to walk to the nearest coffee shop or shop in the evening, you need to stock up in the morning, because walking one way for 2.5 hours. We weren't ready for this. And it's creepy to walk at night in an unfamiliar area. We rented a car and rushed to True o Beach. It's a real paradise there! It felt like we were in the Maldives! Even the color of the water was different. We bought enough. By the way, local touts invite you to swim with turtles on True Beach, so we haven't seen them there. When they began to ask how many of them live in this place, our guide honestly answered- one.
So guys, make a conclusion about the hotel. If you go swimming with the kids in the pool, then you can. Personally, we were bored.
