I've flown twice. For those who arrive from Moscow, the plane arrives very early, so there is a reason to hang out / sleep at the airport itself. There are carpets everywhere - you can sleep peacefully just on the floor, this is the way it is done in India. Attention!! If you wander around, you run a high risk of accidentally leaving the building, as the ceiling continues for a long time after the building, and it will seem that you are still inside. The joke is that they won't let you back in after that, and you'll be sitting on the concrete waiting for your bus until morning- there are no benches there, and it may be cool at night. Be guided by the guards - if there are people in coffee-colored uniforms standing near some doors, then this is most likely the exit.
One of the advantages: As soon as you get out, there is a subway entrance 50 meters to the right and you can get to Delhi. (When will the metro finally reach the ports in Moscow??) Paying for a subway ticket is crazy - you need to know exactly which station to go to and buy a ticket to it, if you paid less, the turnstile will not let you out, you will need to pay extra at the ticket office. At each station, a policeman will put you on a bedside table and search you.
Now there are a lot of boutiques for those who are leaving, you can spend the remaining money, and give the change to the cleaners. There is a cozy food court on the 2nd floor. but! There's a cafe there, like Domino's. I ordered pizza there. I've been to India twice, traveled half the country, eaten street food, never had stomach problems. And then... International Airport, CAFE, PIZZA... Anyway, after that pizza, I fucked up the whole plane, it flew a little faster- I helped with traction, and then I ran for two more weeks. Here's a cafe like this. We need to find them and leave feedback.
In general, the port staff is very polite and always intelligibly explains and helps if you need help. I especially liked the staff and police officers at Calcutta Airport when I was taken off the flight on suspicion of terrorism, but that's another story and look for feedback at Calcutta Airport.)
It's a great airport, but if you get out, you won't get back in if the flight time is not nearby... they won't start the evening flight early in the morning. There's a currency exchange on the street, and I think there was one inside, too. There is a cafe. Airport taxi drivers scare you that you are going to a bad hotel, the hotel area is criminal, etc.... do not be fooled, go to your hotel ... otherwise you will rent a hotel in the same place only 3-5 times more expensive ...uber taxi drivers are excellent. Look at your terminal!!! They are far from each other and it takes more than 15 minutes by taxi))).
