Arriving in Salzburg in the morning, while waiting for a check-in at the hotel, which was chosen for its convenient location within walking distance of the main attractions and the historical center, we went up to the "heavenly" restaurant IMLAUER Sky bar & restaurant, which is in demand not only as a popular place for a leisurely business meeting or family meal, but also as a respectable a wedding venue. Anyway, during our stay, a lot of elegant guests, big and small, and two brides came (and passed by us) to the restaurant hall. Each ordered dish was decorated and served as a work of culinary art. I liked everything at once: carrot puree soup with coconut milk, beef consomme, beef fillet steak with fried shrimp, baked potatoes and vegetables with rosemary, parmesan noodles with cherry tomatoes and organic egg. The famous Salzburger nockerl was ordered for coffee for almost € 15, and half an hour later they unsuccessfully tried to master the "sweet as love and gentle as a kiss", a delicious but hearty dessert consisting of three "snowdrifts". The waiter, in good English, invariably asked us on each approach to the table if we liked the dish, and at the end of lunch he briskly began to "send" us to the historical center for a walk. The first acquaintance with the haute cuisine of Austria was a great success
A great hotel in the very center. It's not a very convenient access by car, but it's solvable. Friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent restaurant (the view is far from panoramic, don't be fooled), a good pub on the 1st floor. Everything is decent, there is a kettle and an ironing board in the rooms, an ice machine on the floor, there is a sauna. There is no Parking, you can leave the keys, park yourself
