One of the best places to relax with family or friends, you can be alone.. The place is very beautiful.
30% of the territory is mangrove forest , reservoirs with almost tame birds, turtles. A clean, pleasant beach, gently turquoise water, a warm and eternally restless ocean. Swimming, swimming, jumping in the waves is very cool.
Sometimes algae swim in . But they are not slimy or enveloping. They don't interfere.
Luxurious rooms, comfortable beds, lots of tables, armchairs, buffet with coffee maker, tea, coffee, sugar,. Refrigerator with drinks. Very clean and pleasant. The food is excellent, very varied!! At least eat all day! And the night))
There is animation for children. live music, gym, tennis, pool with bar. Internet throughout the territory. USB sockets in the room!
Excursions are expensive. (Capital, islands, coffee and cigar factories, dolphins, zoo, safari, and more. )
Coffee, alcohol, chocolate are cheaper to buy in supermarkets, not in souvenir shops.
We will definitely try to come here again!
Practice Spanish. ))
territory
The hotel is large, green territory, ponds with fountains, ducks, peacocks, flamingos walk along it, turtles and small fish are in the pond. The child is delighted with what he saw.
There is also a laboratory house where corals are grown.
Upon arrival at the hotel, you can see the extensive golf courses, everything looks well maintained. Then we stopped at other hotels, you will not find such beauty in every hotel. It looks decent.
CHECK-IN
Upon check-in, they were asked to fill out a questionnaire where they need to specify an email address, phone number and sign in. We did not settle in immediately, we asked for more money for an upgrade of the room, supposedly your room is close to the reception, or we can settle closer to the sea. They didn't understand the price of the question, it costs $ 70 per day, like how much you give, they asked for it unstably. We were quite satisfied with our room, they did not pay, so they told us to walk for an hour. The time was 12-30. Of course, we didn't expect it until 15-00, as the guide warned us that check-in was strictly at 15-00. We changed our clothes and went to the sea. An hour later, they announced that the upgrade was free and we were settled in a villa closer to the sea. We think that it was originally, just trying to make money. The room was exactly the same as it was booked.
Number
The hotel itself consists of 2-storey bungalows (villas, as they are called here), each villa has 8 rooms.
The room is fresh, clean, everything works. They cleaned it every day.
In the hallway there are 2 pairs of slippers, an umbrella, an iron, an ironing board, a free safe, hangers.
In the bathtub there is a good-power hair dryer, napkins, full-fledged tubes of soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.
The room consists of one large room and a bathtub. There are 2 large beds in the room and one more was apparently put for the child, although it was possible to do without it. In the mini-bar: 2 cans of beer, mineral water with gas, Sprite, Coca Cola. They were replenished every other time. There is also a coffee maker, 2 bags of coffee, sugar, cups and 2 glasses. There is also an ice box.
There are 2 glass bottles. The hotel is ECO-friendly, so the water is collected in these bottles. Vending machines are located throughout the hotel.
animation
Funny and funny guys, they invite you to activities: darts, dancing, aqua aerobics. At the weekend, it seemed to be more, as locals come to rest.
In the evening, children's animation, then adult animation: singing, dancing.
I was very pleased with the live music every evening in the reception lobby.
At the weekend, a specially equipped area on the beach was beautifully decorated with lights and decorations, there were circus performances and a beach show. But we didn't go to them, jetlag made itself felt.
staff
Sociable, cheerful. Everyone tells you, “Hola!” The manager came up, asked about the service, food, room, and asked if he liked everything. Waiters are suitable on the beach and near the pool, they can order drinks from the bar, they will be brought. On the territory of the hotel, you can buy a coconut from the gardener for $ 1, it often stands near the road to the pool with a cart of coconuts.
masks
They are needed in restaurants (when you put food on), at the reception and when ordering in bars. There are sanitizers at the entrance to the restaurant. There is also a sanitizer jar in the bathroom in the room.
towels
They are given out on the beach, writing down the room number. There are no cards. Then you just come with the raw ones and change them for others.
A LA CARTE RESTAURANTS
I recommend signing up for them immediately upon arrival. The hotel has an Iberostar application, you can use it, or you can use guest servise, located to the left of the check-in, 2 people are sitting at the computer there.
Restaurants: Mexican, Japanese, Mediterranean, Italian, steak house, gourmet.
You can only go to Italian and gourmet with children from 13 years old. Those who like fish go to the Mediterranean, those who like meat go to Steak House, Japanese is not quite Japanese, rolls are served, and then rice, meat, shrimp and fish are cooked in front of you. For entertainment - 5. I liked Mexican the least. We didn't go to Italian or gourmet.
ice cream
The pool bar is open from 10 to 17. There are many types of ice cream, I counted about 10. They are served in waffle cups, they are applied heartily.
Ice cream is also available for lunch and dinner.
seafood
For 10 days, there were crab claws and shrimps for dinner 2 times.
Mussels are found almost every day, either for lunch or dinner.
Shrimp, too, come in salads or in rice.
meal
There are no complaints about food at all.
Scrambled eggs, omelets, pancakes, pancakes, waffles are cooked for breakfast, and meat is sliced. Ham, cheeses, freshly squeezed juices (they are really freshly squeezed, not packaged); pastries, fruits.
At lunch (it takes place in a restaurant on the beach, and breakfast and dinner are served in the main restaurant), rice or soup is often cooked right on the street. Roast meat, fish, mussels. Salads, including seafood.
From fruits: mango, pineapple, watermelon, melon, papaya, passion fruit, carambola.
Various options are also prepared for dinner, one day rolls are prepared in front of you, another day Mexican tacos, another day hamburgers and cheeseburgers, etc. They always cook pasta, meat, fish, and pizza with you.
There are so many desserts for dinner, the sweet tooth will like it.
At the table, they immediately pour water and ask what to bring. You can order champagne, beer, wine, juice.
Beach bar - snack bar - French fries, burgers, pasta, you can have a quick snack.
Coffee bar - next to the shop at the reception - you can drink coffee and eat dessert.
The bar on the beach and at the reception - drinks, cocktails, are prepared in front of you, you can order any, decent alcohol.
The staff is cheerful, they dance and sing.
SHOP at the hotel
I never would have thought that I would recommend it. But I have never seen such shops at the hotel, when a lot of decent things can be purchased and of good quality. It looks like a supermarket, no one is imposing, there is no need to bargain. They are sold in Dominican pesos, converted into dollars. The exchange rate of 1 dollar is 50-55 Dominican pesos. You can pay with a card, but only so that the card is a dollar one. The prices are small, we went to the gift shop, the prices there were either the same or even more expensive. Therefore, I don't see any point in going to other stores.
beach
The ocean is warm, there were waves on the first day, as the red flag warns. Red and orange flags were hung for their rest. Yes, there are waves, we swam with a child, they did not bother us.
The other flag is blue, which means that the hotel has a beach, the water on which meets high quality standards and is suitable for safe swimming (an international award awarded annually since 1987).
There are few algae scattered along the shore, but they are immediately removed by a tractor. The sand is white, fine, and pleasant. The sun beds are located under straw umbrellas.
There were storms, respectively, a lot of algae were washed up, cleaned, so there was no discomfort.
weather
We went to the Dominican Republic 3 times in September-October, for the first time we encountered tropical rain that poured all night. I was also there during the day, not for 5-10 minutes, as many people think, but sometimes for an hour and 2. Therefore, we understood why there are large green umbrellas in the room.
In general, it was sunny, cloudy, and rainy.
The temperature was 28-29 degrees all the time.
P.S.: in general, I recommend the hotel. I liked the rest.
Everything is fine, but the price tag does not match, it's easier to go to Turkey or Thailand, the ocean is super, food, alcohol too, service and no parking, there is nothing to do outside the hotel!!!
