We lived on the 2nd floor. Balcony. Dry things after the sea and washing. A cozy room. The center, everything is nearby within walking distance. The sea is on one side, on the other, behind the railway, an interesting historical center with an arch, a bridge and a market on an ancient square.
The location of the hotel is excellent. On a quiet street, but not far from the busy main street. The rooms are frankly small. Cleaning every day, towels are changed every day too, bed linen.... for 12 days they have not changed once. An amateur breakfast, a sweet table, no cheeses, sausages or sausages. More precisely, it's all there, but for an additional fee, a sandwich of 2 euros, an omelet with ham and cheese of 5 euros. The dinners are great. Buffet salads, pasta to choose from and hot dishes. It is very difficult to stay hungry.
A room claiming the status of a hotel *** (3 stars) is categorically not such! We rented 2 single rooms (1 narrow bed each) and 1 "family" room (2 narrow beds and 1 bunk bed).
Terrible furniture in rooms of all categories, beds without a headboard, the head rests directly against the painted wall. There are some shelves on the wall above the beds that get in the way and you constantly bump against them. Wardrobes are "angular", they open inconveniently for use, barbells for hangers at a height of more than 2 meters (for some giants?). The blanket is ancient, overgrown blankets, with holes and spots. The pillows are uncomfortable. The bathrooms are completely "lame"! All plumbing is inconveniently placed, the water in the shower "cabins" flows from pre-revolutionary watering cans as necessary. All the drains stink of sewage. They were noticed and (God forgive me!) 2 cockroaches were killed. There is no sound insulation at all! All sounds are heard not only from neighboring rooms, but also from rooms that do not have walls in common with the room from all floors. The sounds of the street (cars, from neighboring houses, passing and talking people, and as the Italians say, if more than one is known) do not allow you to relax for a minute. To top it all off, the elevator. From the movement of the elevator, from how the elevator starts moving and how it stops, the whole room shakes, I'm afraid that the neighboring houses too. There was no need to use air conditioning, I was very lucky. The view of the air conditioners is not encouraging, with traces of breakdowns. WiFi works more or less if you are near the router. The breakfasts are terrible! Only the cheapest pastries are offered, which can only be eaten from complete starvation and the inability to afford an elementary European breakfast for 5-8 € in any other cafe. Coffee and tea are cold. By evening, van drivers, people in overalls (construction workers or something like that) are pulling up to the hotel. This whole company is eating in a cafe of this type of "hotel", together with the guests, watching TV in the lobby until late and, of course, noisily discussing either the day that has passed or plans for tomorrow. I can't say for sure, but are they going to sleep somewhere? With a high probability, they live in vacant rooms here. Summary: there is no reason why I allow the opportunity to stay at Villa Itala for any money, if you value your health and mental balance.
Quite well. 3 stars are justified. The rooms are different. Both tiny ones with a shower right above the toilet, and normal-sized ones with a good shower and air conditioning. They feed normally. Not a restaurant, of course, but not bad. The staff is good, the cleaning is too. The location is excellent
In general, it corresponds to the description. The staff is friendly, the breakfasts are delicious, the location is good. The rooms are small, our toilet, shower, and sink fit in one square meter
I knew at the time of booking that this is an economy hotel, but this is a place for completely unassuming travelers. Rooms in need of repair, worn furniture, a shower in the form of a watering can over the toilet, meager breakfasts. The only plus is the location. I don't advise anyone.
