We have already stayed at the Union several times, a good hotel, in a chic old building. The staff is almost all Russian-speaking, friendly. The rooms are spacious, with high ceilings. The breakfasts are delicious and varied, there is a good pub around the corner with fresh tank Krushovitsa and delicious fried hermelin.
The location is also very good: the place is not in the center, there are no crowds of staggering tourists, but the transport accessibility is excellent - the hotel has a tram stop that goes in walking directions: to the metro, to the center, etc. Nearby, the Visegrad metro is within walking distance, but you will have to go uphill, up the steps. There is an inexpensive Lidl supermarket next to the hotel. Also, almost opposite the hotel is the Visegrad fortress with a good walking area, a church, catacombs and magnificent views of Prague. Now we only go to this hotel, I really like it!
The hotel is not bad. Good location, in a quiet and peaceful area. Not in the center, but nearby, ten meters from the tram stop. The center is 7-10 minutes away by tram to any place. Trams run frequently and are not crowded. We were in February, maybe that's why. Although there were a lot of tourists in the center. Near Visegrad in walking distance. There are many cafes and restaurants where you can eat well and relatively inexpensively. Lidl supermarket with inexpensive goods and groceries is five minutes away.
The room is warm, which is rare for Prague. There is a TV, a hairdryer, an electric kettle will be brought for an additional 5 euros per day. Check-in is at 14:00, but we were lucky our room was already ready, so we checked in right away. On the first day, upon arrival, breakfast is not allowed, you can eat, but for 10 euros per person. There is a pub Restaurant nearby (go out and to the right, on the corner). A gorgeous place! Everything is very tasty and inexpensive!!! We were in Prague for 7 full days, we had a chance to eat a lot of places, there is something to compare it with!
The exchange rate at the hotel is very low, it is better to do it in the center. They don't take rubles anywhere! The room is cleaned daily, the staff speaks Russian fluently.
