I was there a long time ago, when it was still safe to visit Ukraine.
The city of Uman is located approximately in the middle between Odessa and Kiev, the navigator found a hotel, and we spent the night at the Uman hotel of the same name, as if we had visited in the 70s. The cost of a room with a shower is 180 hryvnia, but there is also an economy option with amenities to the corridor. The deposit is 100 hryvnia, which is refunded if the maid makes sure that the towel is not stolen when accepting the room. There, along a long corridor with high ceilings, there were mismatched doors, some of which belonged to rented areas, then a travel agency, then a legal consultation, then a beauty salon. There was a smell of junk in the room, the repeatedly painted floor boards resembled linoleum. The toilet roll did not have a hole in the center for mounting on the bracket, and the quality of the paper was suitable for fine polishing of silver. There was no breakfast included.
