The hotel is clean and cozy as far as India and the Main Bazaar allow. We saw cockroaches in the room. In general, it is comfortable and cozy. The employees are friendly and meet requests halfway.

Look into the alleys and there you will see the slums of old Delhi in all its glory. But by European standards, the Shalton Hotel is one star, maximum. In principle, the hotel is not bad to stay for 1-2 days. There is an air conditioner, very ancient, though, seventies, But it works. The reception staff left a double impression. on the one hand, they seem to be smiling. On the other hand, when it was time for me to check out at 11:00, and my bus was in the evening at 20:00, the receptionist, when asked to leave my things for this time, charged the price of 1000 rupees. That is, 1,000 rubles. In our or European hotels, it is either free or costs a penny. Apparently he didn't like me for something. Although there were no controversial issues during my stay at the hotel. In the next alley, I rented a room for 350 rubles, with a shower and toilet. I left my things there before leaving by bus in the evening.

Great location, fast Wi-Fi, large rooms. The air conditioning and fan are new, the plumbing is in order. There is a great restaurant on the roof, the food is delicious, there is no alcohol. The main advantage is the location, in the heart of the Main Bazaar, everything is at hand. I'll be happy to come back here.
