Hotel Riu Dubai: An unforgettable holiday in Dubai!
Our holiday at Hotel Riu Dubai exceeded all expectations! From the very beginning we felt at home - friendly staff, stylish rooms and a wonderful atmosphere created a feeling of real comfort.
What we especially liked:
* Location: The hotel is located right on the beach, with stunning views of the Arabian Gulf. Dubai city center can be easily reached by taxi or public transport.
*Rooms: The rooms are spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. We stayed in a room overlooking the sea, and waking up to the sound of the waves was just wonderful.
* Meals: Varied and delicious dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffet included a variety of national and international dishes, fresh seafood and desserts.
* Swimming pools: The hotel offers several swimming pools, including one for adults, where you can relax and sunbathe.

We had a vacation in Rio in December 2024. Excellent weather, gentle sea, comfortable air and water temperature, as we have in the velvet season. I really liked the hotel and its location. Cozy and comfortable rooms. Very well maintained pleasant area. Everything is thought out. A small compact water park, for both adults and children. Excellent bars, the main restaurant. There are several themed restaurants on the territory, but we did not visit them, the main one was enough for us. Very friendly, friendly and customer-oriented staff at the hotel from the managers at the reception to the waiters at the restaurant.
The room is cleaned every day.
The main restaurant is excellent, the chefs cook very tasty, the range of dishes is amazing, food for every taste even for the most "fastidious gourmets", many seafood dishes (shrimp, squid, mussels, octopus)! A variety of fruits: apples, oranges, plums, watermelons, melons, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya and more. There is also a large selection of cakes and desserts for the sweet tooth.
We were very satisfied with the rest, we liked everything. There is absolutely nothing to find fault with.

I really liked the hotel.
There were three of us - me, my husband and a 5-year-old child. We took a standard room. We were worried about how the three of us would be there, since the sofa in the photo looked modest, but by our arrival the sofa was laid out and it turned out that my son had a full-fledged adult bed.
The room is spacious, with partial sea view.
They clean up well, everything was fine.
There are several swimming pools on the territory, including those that are not deep for children. There was no way to get my son out of there. I liked that the guards are watching so that the children do not swim into the deep part - they immediately make a remark.
A cool water park, there is also a children's room and a mini playground.
There were plenty of deck chairs for everyone, even during rush hours.
The sea is just amazing. Warm and shallow. The only thing that brought sea urchins from somewhere a couple of times, it's clear that there's a reef somewhere nearby, I've never seen this before. The guards gave them a large net and they were pulled out by vacationers.
The food is quite decent, everything is delicious, there was enough of everything.
However, it seemed to us that the main restaurant should be bigger, there were a lot of people, everyone was running around with drinks, spilling and so on. There were a lot of fruits, all very tasty. Ice cream is freely available.
The hotel is next to the airport, so planes are constantly flying nearby, you can hear it. It doesn't bother you much, but you can hear it.
It is also far from the center, but you can always take a taxi at the exit of the hotel.
In general, the hotel looks like a good 4 stars.

We had a rest on December 2-11, 2024. A good hotel, good food (a large selection of everything, often seafood, red fish), a comfortable beach, there are always plenty of sun beds. In order to be in the front row, you can throw in a towel before breakfast. Wi-fi is good, there is everywhere, including on the beach. There are many bars with good alcohol, and the online menu of the bar is convenient. The staff is just bees, very friendly and attentive guys. A convenient RIU application where you can solve any issues, view the schedule, sign up for a la carte restaurants. It's good that there's always a sports bar with snacks. We arrived around 12 p.m., checked in around 2 p.m. (we put on bracelets, sent for a walk around the hotel, and when the room was ready, we received an email message). Due to the location, the sea is almost always calm (on the same dates, tourists from Sharjah said that they had a storm and were not allowed to swim).
Planes are taking off over the hotel, it's impossible not to notice, but it didn't bother us, including sleeping. One of the disadvantages is that it's a long way from the city - they took a taxi to visit the sights (the Karim app, but Yandex also works - it's a little more expensive) to the metro (it's better to go to Al Ghubaiba station - it will be faster without traffic jams and cheaper to take the metro, but you need to change to another branch). Tickets were memorably taken on touristino and combo on Dubai tickets. Each adult is given a one-day SIM card with 10 GB of traffic upon arrival.
The hotel hosts contests for adults during the day and a disco in the evening. Children from 4 to 12 years old can visit Riu Land during the day, where they will be entertained. At 20.00 every evening there is a disco for children, we went every evening, and there is a children's playground, a water park. In general, the hotel has a lot to do, entertain, feed, and drink. The main restaurant has good service, it was not possible to get to the restaurants by appointment, since everything was booked a week in advance. The alcohol in the bars is decent. The animation is not intrusive, which pleased me. Be prepared that there is nothing outside the hotel, a deserted area. The center is 20 minutes away by taxi.

At first it seemed like an anthill. Yes, there are a lot of people. But there is always a place in the restaurant, on the beach, by the pools.
The food is varied. Lots of seafood. Three alyakard restaurants. Lots of bars. Not all of them were. The sea is warm. It is far from all the popular places of the city. This may be a minus, maybe not, who knows how. We went to the center by taxi. It's expensive, and it takes a long time. Especially if you get caught in rush hour, the traffic jams are huge. The staff is very positive. No one imposes anything, they don't bother. It's nice to communicate with people. The rooms are spacious. Wide beds + sofa. Safe, kettle, refrigerator. The minibar is included in the price, but for some reason it is not replenished for us. Apparently, you need to ask. Shampoo and hair conditioner were not provided in the room. They asked for it. Shampoo was given, conditioner was not in the end. Apparently there is a shortage. 😀

There is a "tent" with water sports on the beach: a catamaran, saps, a kayak and a water mattress. You need to register there every day and preferably in the morning. They give you all the necessary inventory.
Also, there is volleyball on the beach, but it was painful for me to run on the shell, so I played only 1 game... and there are various contests for adults and children near the beach.
Of the cons: the construction site, which overlooked our balcony and the seashell beach - it was a bit painful for me personally to walk, but overall my husband and I were satisfied with the hotel.
