I lived in the hotel in 2013, nine years ago, and all the years I've been reading about the old house and the Peter Hotel. The Peter Hotel consists of three buildings connected into one complex. To the right of the house "Peter" there is a gray building - this is the hotel itself and there is also a building of 6 floors, which is behind the gray building of the hotel, this is also the hotel "Peter". All three houses are connected
by balconies- walkways, a common hall
- reception, elevator. The entrance to the hotel is through the house "Peter" and guests also have breakfast in this house, and there is one apartment for a large family in the house, but basically there is no room stock in this house - there is a casino, and the hotel is a building to the right of the house "Peter" and a building of 6 floors - there are modern rooms and a hotel not bad for his 3***. There are also two-level rooms.
The building, which has 6 floors, has city services and even had a tour agency and a massage parlor. The hotel has its own garage, but the entrance to it is from the opposite Ondrzeska Street.
A building of amazing beauty and rich history is attached to the Peter Hotel close to the left. It's called Peter's House. It is the oldest fully wooden building in Karlovy Vary. It was built in 1706-1709. It was rebuilt several times later. He was barely separated from the beetles who thoroughly "worked" on the structural elements of the building. This is clearly visible on the load-bearing beams inside the building. There is a commemorative plaque on the building. Many people, seeing the profile of Tsar Peter the Great and his name on the plaque, mistakenly think that he lived here. In fact, Peter the Great took part in the construction of the house "At the Peacock", opposite across the river. During his carpentry studies. The name of the plaques on the building was changed several times (Petter, Peter, Cosmos). Now there is a hotel, a restaurant, a casino and two small shops in the building. Left and right at the entrance to the building.
We dreamed of visiting Karlovy Vary, but covid-19 prevented us. We had a paid reservation at the Petr hotel for May 2020, but covid-19 and closed borders did not give us the opportunity to come to KV. The Petr hotel refused to return the money! In the spring of 2021, the borders are still closed. When asked to postpone our booking to a time convenient for us - MAY or summer 2022 - the Petr hotel also REFUSED us! It was extended only until the end of 2021. But this is impossible! I booked for May, but in autumn and winter I can't go on vacation! All airlines and all booked hotels have refunded our money. The hotel in Prague has postponed our booking until December 2022. The Petr hotel alone does not want to meet us halfway and not only does not refund the money, but also refuses to reschedule the reservation to dates convenient for us! It's bad and Shameful, Petr Hotel!!!
