Greetings from a previous life! We'll probably come back one day! With already grown-up children, a little older themselves. But it's so great to ski and relax in the thermal baths! I love Austria.

A wonderful hotel. A huge plus is that the hotel provides its guests with free entrance to the city thermal complex. In addition, they have their own baths, in which a wonderful bath attendant works. There are several very comfortable recreation areas. There is a sauna where you can go with children (all visitors in it in swimsuits, unlike other saunas where they go naked). There is no such thing in other hotels in Bad Gastein.
Excellent cuisine, very friendly restaurant staff (when I couldn't decide which dessert I wanted more, they just brought me 2). The hotel is located in the center of the village. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the ski lift.

I advise you to show off to the Austrians your knowledge about the life of the mysterious Saint. Severin, who lived in Norica at the end of the fifth century AD - he was famous as an all-powerful sorcerer, and therefore the leaders of even the most warlike tribes marching on Rome avoided this area - because, according to legend, much of the cultural heritage of the empire was preserved here.
