We had a rest in August 2024 at the defne defnem 5* hotel. The hotel is very decent, well-maintained territory, several pools, good food, fresh rooms after renovation, comfortable beds. A big plus of the hotel is the sandy beach with a gentle entrance to the sea, the availability of always free sun beds, as well as a promenade along the sea. A small disadvantage is the lack of a bathroom door, although there is a separate glass door to the toilet, a rather strange solution for family rooms. I also liked the performance of the visiting artists, although the animation team itself is weak, as well as a sufficient number of free sports, as well as free billiards. The entire infrastructure is also close to the hotel. The overall impression is positive.

A great hotel and a great vacation. The hotel is large, beautiful, and has several swimming pools. If you are traveling with children, they will definitely like the slides, they turn on during the day at a certain time. There is a lot of food, there is a choice, you definitely won't stay hungry. In general, I want to say that there were doubts about the food due to some comments, but there were no problems with what to eat at all. Of course, this is not a restaurant in the center of Moscow, but you need to understand how much it costs to stay in hotels with food of this level. There are no complaints about food at all. There are also comments from those who "have been to Turkey a thousand times and circumnavigated the earth" that it is not 5 stars. I agree, but it's a solid four and the price is right! By the way, food is available 24 hours a day, and snacks and some salads remain in the trays at night. A magnificent hotel beach, a sandy sloping entrance, there is a hotel bar on the beach where there are snacks, several dishes are served at lunchtime so as not to go to the hotel. The sun beds were always available at any time. By the way, it's not far to go, about 7 minutes, depending on how you go. Someone wrote about the terrible way to the sea, the stink, the garbage. I've attached a photo of the track (a photo with a white car). We were preparing for this, but the transition was not annoying at all, there was no garbage, there was no stink. The location of the beach on the coast is good, to the edge of the hotel development, so there is not much traffic of people on the coastal alley. An evening promenade can be arranged along the same alley, and the most persistent can walk to the old town. We were in July 2024, there were half Russians, the other half were Europeans, all amicably, peacefully. Show programs every evening after the children's program, invited artists who do not require the participation of vacationers, everyone just sits and claps. There were karaoke nights. It may not be very interesting for young active people, but in general it was fun for everyone. I can't say anything bad about rooms and cleaning, but there is a feature that there is a glass window with blinds between the room and the shower, it's not entirely clear why)) And the wet area is strangely made, the door is not provided, there is a curtain in the shower, a glass door in the toilet (but it is not visible from the corridor and the room). They got used to it quickly. The balcony is spacious. The air conditioner was working, and there was also a ceiling fan. Wi-Fi only works normally in the lobby, it catches in the rooms from time to time. If you are interested, there is a spacious gym, there is a wide range of basic equipment, weights, and exercise equipment. The staff is friendly and courteous. The tour operator's hotel guide, as always in my repertoire, will not even write. The hotel is definitely worth the attention in its price category. I almost forgot, there were very nice presents when checking into the room. There was a cloth beach bag, which was used, and two cute cloth purses on a string for a phone and small things.

I am very glad that we chose this particular hotel. I had a rest in September 2024. The optimal combination of price and quality. A comfortable hotel with very polite staff. The beach is large with yellow velvet sand. We walked along the coast in Side - this is the best beach. The entry into the sea is ideal. There is a great bar by the beach. There are always enough sun beds both by the pools and on the beach. Sun beds with comfortable mattresses. The hotel has slides for both children and adults. Slides for adults - with and without tubing. There were always enough tubes, there were no queues on the slides. There is a separate 18+ swimming pool without children. The pools have a comfortable depth of 1.4 m. Where the slides are 1.2 m. The food at the hotel is delicious, varied - meat, fish, chicken, vegetables, fruits. The fruits were watermelon, melon, plum, apples, pomegranates, grapes, oranges. The room is clean, cleaned daily. They gave me a lot of towels - 2 beach towels for each, 2 large white ones for use in the room and even small ones. Theoretically, the room had a sea view, but since we lived on the 2nd floor and the sea was a 10-minute walk away, we couldn't see it. The controversial point is that there is no door to the bathroom (there is a toilet), but since we were without children, this did not bother us. An important point is that they do not give shampoo and conditioner for hair (but I always have my own), there is a shower gel. The only drawback is wi-fi. Only the reception has a normal connection. There is almost no animation (discos, karaoke and infrequent artists, once a week there is a foam pool), but you can play tennis (large) or mini golf, you can throw darts or rope mugs at the target. In the restaurant, at first I was surprised by the moment with tables assigned to specific rooms, then I got into it that it was convenient - a large company was given a large table, for two - a small one. As a result, your clean table is waiting for you at any time. Of the important little things - we had a late arrival (after 23-00), we were fed anyway (snacks were placed in the restaurant in such a case). I was very pleased with the rest. Great hotel!

In September 2024, we spontaneously decided to visit beautiful Turkey with the whole family. After a long search, the choice fell on the Defne Defnem hotel, and we did not regret it at all. Despite the fact that the hotel is not located on the first coastline, this even became a plus: after a dense Turkish "olinclusion", it was possible to arrange a mini-walk to the sea, thereby taking care of the figure a little. The walk itself takes about 10 minutes on average. Most of the time, we didn't go out from the reception area, but from the other side of the hotel — it's safer there, as you can cross the road via an underground pedestrian crosswalk. This is important in Turkey, because local drivers are not very willing to let pedestrians pass, and more often than not even ignore them. Well, that's the driving culture. If you leave through the reception, then you have to run across the road.
Now about the beach. The hotel has its own sandy beach with a shallow entrance to the water. This is ideal for children: you don't have to worry that it will be too deep, although, of course, you still need to look after them. By the way, while walking along the embankment, we came to the conclusion that this beach, in our opinion, is the best on the boardwalk. And the Side boardwalk itself is something special, especially in the evening, when all the tourists go for a walk: some to the bars, some to the Old Town (by the way, it's beautiful both day and night). In the late afternoon, the real owners of Turkish streets appear on the streets — furry and cute cats and cats. They strut around or just sit watching the tourists. Every evening, while walking, we enjoyed these meetings, and it seems that they were glad to see us too.
But I digress, because it was about the beach. Many vacationers come to swim here, as there are rocks on other beaches, and the entrance to the water is not always comfortable. There is a mini-bar near the beach from the hotel with drinks and snacks, although the range of snacks is small.
Now about the hotel itself. We arrived late, but we were immediately invited to dinner. There wasn't much food left, but we weren't hungry. The check-in was quick. The rooms here are good, I can't say anything bad. The only thing that was a little confusing was the lack of a bathroom door, as well as a window with blinds in the shower. The room has a safe, towels, TV, hairdryer, ashtray, branded bag for beach accessories, refrigerator with water. We got a room on the top floor with a view of the stage, the pool and the mountains. In the evening, you could watch the performances directly from the room.
As for food, we are not picky, and we were satisfied with everything. Every time I told myself that I would only have a salad and a little something else, I returned to the table with a full plate. The hotel has coffee machines, you can brew tea, juice machines, coolers with water. Cocktails, rum, gin, raki, wine and Efes beer are offered from alcohol. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be assigned a table for the entire rest period, so there is no need to look for a place every time. We were quite satisfied with that.
There are two large swimming pools on the territory of the hotel: one is an age—restricted relaxation area, and the second is next to the water park, with a bar. There is also a children's pool with two slides and a children's room with an animator. True, the animator didn't speak Russian in our time, but that didn't stop her from painting a Spider-Man mask on my son's face.
The water park is open twice a day and has five slides. The safety on the slides is monitored by the staff. It's a lot of fun to ride, both for children and adults. The big slide with a sharp descent is especially impressive.
The animation in the hotel, of course, is not great, but overall it's not bad. We got to a foam disco, which both the children and us liked. There were performances on stage in the evening.

ROOM: there is a fan - it's super, You cool it with a little conditioner, and then just turn on the fan, beauty. The room is large, with a beam of 6-7 meters. The rooms are odd with views of the pools and mountains (quieter), the even rooms are on the road (noisier, but you can see the sea on high floors). The most important thing is that there is no door in the bathroom in the room. ABSOLUTELY! The toilet is fenced off by a small glass partition (a la door, but without a lock and without a box, the toilet is not completely closed and the sounds and smells are with you and your partners)), the shower room is fenced off only by a curtain. Everything is fine! I liked the hotel, everything is clean, beautiful, the room is cleaned every day, I even had the floor washed twice a week. The water park is cool, the pools are large. Animation every day, different programs in the evening, you won't get bored! I rested from 1.09. to 9.09. 2024. The sea is clean, warm, the velvet season... I arrived at the hotel at night, checked into a great room for an additional fee (I didn't have to wait in the lobby at 14:00 to check in) and on the day of check-out, the stay in the room was extended without additional payment until the transfer at 21:40. The staff is polite, kind, friendly. Good quality alcohol for every taste. It is a 7-10 min walk to the sea through the tunnel , but again it is not stressful. We walked along the embankment to the ancient city of Side, very beautiful! I recommend to watch both in the afternoon and in the evening, you can take a bus or taxi, but it's better to take a walk to see. We walked there along the embankment, back through the city. Leaving the hotel you can walk, there are many shops and bazaars.I really liked it, I recommend it!

Good afternoon! I am writing an honest review) I was in Turkey for the first time. The hotel is not bad, overall clean. The room was cleaned every day (we were at the end of September). The food is monotonous and the quality is top notch. Alcoholic beverages - beer, wine is also of lame quality, cocktails are more or less. It was from 01.10.2024 for 8 days.I liked. The room is spacious, everything works. Towels and cleaning every day. The staff is on top. The food is chicken, beef, turkey. There was mutton from time to time. The beach is clean. Sun beds with a mattress are free of charge. We arrived at night. We were fed boutiques with cheese and sausage. The only negative is ANEX employee Hasan Aghayev. With the air of a boss, he began to rub in where we shop and where to go. The hotel is not bad, the room is quite comfortable (we rested with the child, he slept on a cot, very comfortable). The balcony is large, there is a dryer for wet clothes (swimsuits, towels are convenient to hang).
The only thing inconvenient in the room was the lack of a door to the bathroom area.
Of course, it wasn't very good for food, but it was possible to choose.
The fruits were delicious only oranges (only with a yellow crust. From the green - there were sour ones), apples, melon (but it was necessary to choose ripe pieces), plums, pomegranates (also sour).
Sweets are not tasty except for praise. And there was very little praise. And in general, if the food was running out on the plates in the dining room, they did not report it, but simply removed the vacant dish. Therefore, it was necessary to come to the very beginning of breakfast / lunch / dinner.
Alcohol and drinks were always poured, in the cafe on the beach there was, among other things, tomato juice, ayran. The juice from the vending machine (orange/pineapple/cherry) is concentrated and some kind of chemical.
There are many games on site (table tennis, football, ring game, billiards, animation by the pool).
You can walk along the promenade along the beach to the Old Side.

A great hotel an hour's drive from the airport. Two large pools, there is a pool for kids and slides for every taste (but they turn on twice a day for an hour). A huge dining area, a buffet, a lot of different dishes, of course some dishes were unsuccessful, but mostly everything is delicious.
The room is not big or small, we only slept in it, I was surprised that there is no door to the bathroom, which is divided into a toilet and a shower room, the toilet has a door) you also need to be prepared for the fact that there is no shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in bottles or bags and there will not be. Something soapy is poured into dispensers near the sink and in the shower. There are also no disposable slippers.
But there are a lot of towels: gray for the beach (it takes about seven minutes to walk to the sea and it's better through an underground passage, and it's closer and safer, since motorists don't willingly stop at a red light and a pedestrian crossing) and white for the room.
Very funny bartenders, there are those who can explain themselves in Russian, alcohol is different for all tastes.
Wi-Fi works well in the lobby, so during the day at the peak of the heat there were a lot of people buried in their gadgets.
A lot of entertainment: mini golf, tennis, billiards, gym, sauna, water polo, in general, if you want to be active, but do not want to go far, then you can not leave the hotel at all.
In general, we really liked it.

The hotel impresses with its size. There is a lot of free space, halls, wide corridors. The room was clean. Every day they brought 1 bottle of 1.5 liters of soda and 1 bottle of 2 liters of drinking water. They cleaned every day. Food from the category - you will not stay hungry. Sausages and cutlets are soy, chicken is often over-dried. Always fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage and salads made from them. For breakfast, pancakes and scrambled eggs, dry mixes. There were interruptions with fruits: watermelons, grapes, melons, oranges. There are a lot of pies. French fries and pasta for lunch. Chilled beer is not intoxicating, pleasant. The wine is warm and weak. YUPPIES are different. I was pleased with the pool. One is for relaxation without a buffet and without music, the second with noisy entertainment, the third is for children with slides, the fourth is like mani aqua park. It takes 10 minutes to get to the sea via an underground passage. There is no shampoo, gel, soap, toothbrush and paste, but there is a hair cap for taking a shower. A nice bonus is a towel shopper and a phone wallet. They could have been taken away - it's up to you to decide for yourself or not. There is no entertainment in the evenings.

We stayed at this hotel in October of this year. The hotel is comfortable, beautiful, the staff is friendly and courteous. We were checked in early in the morning (at 7 o'clock) for an additional fee ($ 20) and with a wonderful view of the pools and mountains.

The pools are large and good, but the relaxation pool did not work with us, which is a bit insulting. The water in them at this time is already colder than in the sea, but this did not bother me. The sea, by the way, was quite warm! There were sun beds with green pillows on the beach for hotel guests, however, it was not as close as they wanted to go, but for the young it was not a problem. There is a market right next to the hotel.
The room was cleaned every day, towels were changed twice or three times, two beach towels and a shower, everything was fine with us. Carbonated and regular water were brought free of charge, and they cleaned cleanly.
One of the biggest disadvantages for us is the almost complete lack of animation. During the whole week we got to only one dance performance, the rest of the days there was a disco and karaoke, where almost no one went. For children, there was a mini disco for half an hour every day. There was no promised aqua gymnastics by the pool, just darts and a foam party once a week, that's all. Very weak animation, although perhaps the situation is completely different in the season.
And the staff practically does not speak Russian. Overall, the hotel made a pleasant impression, but it is suitable for those who like more passive recreation.
About ANEX. I hasten to warn you that the guides are very persistent, it will be difficult for weak-minded people to refuse additional trips. Personally, I decided to go to keyf hamam for $ 20, where I didn't see anything interesting, you can ask your friends for exactly the same massage.

The hotel is excellent (Defne Defnem), nice room, polite staff (understands Russian well), location (2nd line), not a problem. It is not long to walk to the sea, and there is a wonderful sandy beach and the same sandy entrance to the sea! Sun beds, mattresses, towels are provided free of charge. The room was cleaned every day. The room is large and spacious. The food is delicious, we missed Turkish, so we ate with pleasure: fresh fish every day, lots of meat dishes and vegetables. We had our own table, so we didn't have to worry about the place, and the hotel was at most a third full. There was almost no swimming in the pool - you can't replace the sea with a pool. The animation is also decent - professional dance groups (Latin American and modern costumed) performed.
The hotel offers free of charge: sauna, mini golf, tennis. But all this was not particularly in demand. In the afternoon, the beach, in the evening, walking around the shops with Turkish goods.
We walked to the old town of Side (40 minutes along the sea along the path), so we also looked at the antiquities. And that's all we wanted.

The hotel is quite large and beautiful. Spacious rooms, a huge balcony with dryers and a table with chairs. 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor for the cold season, decent slides, gym, hammam, court, table tennis tables, golf - all for free. There is an unobtrusive animation. The food in the restaurant is not the most diverse, but everything is quite tasty and enough. The sea is 5-7 minutes on foot, there are always enough sunbeds, going to the sea is a dream. I would love to come here again.

A tiny lobby bar, not enough seats for everyone.

The rooms are spacious. But when the air conditioner is turned on, there is a strong smell of mold. The ceiling fan saves you.
There are no bathrobes, no disposable slippers, no shampoo (instead there is a dispenser with liquid soap).
Spectacular reception area.
WiFi in the rooms catches very poorly, sometimes it does not connect at all and the speed is low. It is better on site, and on the beach you can connect to the Defne Star network.
Animation: Very weak animation and evening shows.
Territory:
Large swimming pool, plenty of sun beds for everyone. There is a separate Relax pool with 18+ access. The slides in the water park are not bad, they are opened twice a day for an hour and a half.
There is no bottled water on the territory of the hotel, you have to carry a 1.5liter bottle with you and pour from rare coolers or constantly run to the bar.
The convenient location of the hotel, 5-7 minutes walk to the sea, 30 minutes to historical sites along the embankment. Nice walking area with shops, bars and restaurants. To Migros (something like our Magnet) about 20 minutes on foot.
Beach:
Its own sandy beach. There are a lot of sun beds, there are enough for everyone. There are tables for clothes and hooks on umbrellas for bags. There is no pontoon. Nearby is the large beach of the Defne Star Hotel and a water entertainment tent.

The hotel is not "tired", beautiful interiors, comfortable lobby. It may seem far from the beach to some and return slightly uphill, but you run downhill to the sea!))) I put 5, because for that price and the level of reviews already available, as well as the description of the hotel and its service, everything coincided with expectations.
Spacious rooms, clean furniture, very comfortable mattresses, even on my son's extra bed. Clean linen (this is important). In fact, they put fresh duvet covers and changed pillowcases outside the stated deadline. Towels are very convenient - two sets of beach and bath towels at once in the room. And also, some were replaced out of time. It was originally announced once a week. I have never evaluated the cleaning, therefore: there is no sand, the garbage was removed, the dust was wiped and the bed was made, everything is good.
Food. I am surprised, of course, by the reviews about "oh my God, there was no seafood", "cakes are not delicious"))), yes everything is fine, the usual choice: a couple of types of chicken, meat, fish always! We ate trout every day! What kind of chicken) we eat it at home every day). And the people are standing in queues behind the chicken)). And by the way, there were seafood: squid with shrimp. A very tasty dish is mushrooms with beef. I stayed at this hotel in August 2024 with my wife and son of 14 years.
We stopped at the hotel at 10 a.m., promised to check into a standard room at 12.00 (standard check-in at 14.00). We paid 60 dollars and settled immediately into an improved room on the 5th floor (room 545) with 3 balconies with a normal bathroom without a window from the bathtub to the bedroom. From the balconies you could see the sea, the hotel grounds overlooking the pools and a place for evening shows.
I won't tell you about the food, a lot has been written about it in previous reviews.
I had free Wi-Fi in the lobby and in the room, the Internet speed was not very high, but I corresponded on Whatsapp without problems and sent photos.
There was also a free safe in the room.
Every day (except Thursday), two 1.5 liter bottles of water and 1 liter of mineral water were put in our refrigerator for a family of 3 people. On Thursday, we took water from the cooler in the restaurant.
Olga's guide has already been written about earlier, she also seemed harsh to us, but in moderation, we most often communicated with her assistant Rufat, a very sociable and polite guide, helped us with all questions, even helped us extend our room on the day of departure from the hotel.
There is a shopping street near the hotel, follow the red line on the sidewalk. It is best to go to the right on leaving the hotel, there are a lot of shops and pharmacies with Russian-speaking sellers (they helped us a lot, my son got sick and they suggested which analogues of Russian medicines can be bought).
There is also a promenade not far from the hotel, you can walk to the Ancient Side. I did this - I drove to the Ancient Side by minibus for $ 1, then walked along the Ancient Side and along the embankment reached the hotel.
I didn't like the room cleaning, it seems the cleaners are friendly, but they clean badly.
As a result, the food seems to be varied, but without frills.
