The hotel is located in Nabeul. Byzance is considered an urban-type hotel, although it is located almost by the sea. I have personally stayed at this hotel 2 times. In 2016 and 2017. Many times I was just around, and also went to the hotel bar to drink beer. The hotel is small, quiet, cozy, the staff is kind, the kitchen is like in other hotels. Standard 3*. Despite the small territory, it has its own swimming pool. There is also a small beach with sun beds, which is 70 meters away. I will immediately warn you that between the hotel and the beach there are private houses in which locals live, having such animals as chickens, roosters, dogs in their household... So if you are used to getting up with roosters or barking dogs, welcome... If not, then you can get used to it.
The hotel is not for young companies and not for those who need noisy fun, since the contingent of the hotel is mainly those over 50 (but, again, it depends on the month in which you want to check in there)... Almost everyone who got there before was disappointed, as they chose this hotel because of the price (it was less than other hotels) and said that they had come to some end of the world)). But, this hotel is convenient because there is a souvenir shop and various shops and a market and a beer bar and a lot of cafes and restaurants for every taste within walking distance. There are few Russians in the hotel. In this year, 2024, the hotel was generally aimed at tourists from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
If you understand the hotel and its location, then let's move on to the beach.
The beach itself is like everywhere else on the Set. It is not particularly clean . It's just as dirty as it is nearby, on the city beach. The sun beds are standard, plastic. Entering the sea is mostly small rocks with sand and a reef, but a loophole can be found. For comfort, buy special slippers. Previously, the hotel management ordered sand for the beach. It was brought and sprinkled on the surf line. This year, passing by, I did not find it.
Whether this hotel suits you or not is up to you. After all, everyone chooses their place of rest in accordance with their requirements, interests and priorities.
I'll attach a photo. Have a good rest, everyone. 😁
The hotel is not bad by Nabekla standards, but do not be under any illusions: the condition is so-so. Everything you need is there, but the plaster crumbles, there are rusty stains in the bathtub, and the balcony smells unpleasant. What to do.
Do not forget: there is a very nice pool and bar in the courtyard below, and there are delicious places nearby.
The smell of sewage in the hotel. Nothing works: phone, TV, air conditioning. The room was given without a balcony, and it felt like the staff themselves were resting there. And the beds are crumpled, and the toilet is used for its intended purpose. The bed was not fixed, the toilet was not flushed.... Everything happened. There's even dirt on the walls. The cleaning lady threw the garbage that had accumulated in the room out the window. The only solution was to change it. Since the hotel is not big, there is no question of a variety of food. She ate only vegetables and few fruits. There are tea bags, but no hot water. The pool is small. The sea is nearby, but the beach is terrible. When entering the water, there is some kind of stone plateau. The sun beds are a la fabric, all old, sunken. The cherry on the cake: a personal towel was placed from the same room.
