The hotel is located in a historic building, close to the train station and the center. Polite staff, clean enough. The hotel has a panoramic elevator, a museum.Vysotsky (they were not). Although the room faced the road, it was not noisy. There is no private parking at the hotel, but we always found a place
The only question is for the restaurant, breakfast is until 11.00, when we checked in, even at the reception they asked how much we plan to have breakfast, we said that at about 10.00. It's wonderful... but.....we came for breakfast around 10.05-10.10, we were constantly running out of croissants, then fried eggs and no longer replenished Those who came later than us, the choice was even less.
Well, OK, we found something to eat, this is not the only food, but on the last day the bread was only black, the time was about 10.10. We asked for white bread, to which we were told that there was none!! This is a fiasco, bro! Do you have breakfast in a restaurant that serves a la carte all day and you don't have white bread?? A lot of people don't eat black bread and not all of them because they don't like it. For example, those who have an increased acidity of the stomach, they can not have black bread.
Then it was even more fun, we took the last fried egg, omelette, croissants and something else was already over before us. Towards the end of breakfast, a man came, began to ask (apparently about eggs), they also told him no, no, he picked up food, again approached the waiters and began to ask, literally begging, it didn't look very good. One of the waiters took an empty tray and after a while a plate of fried eggs was brought to the man. Seriously? What kind of restaurant is this where residents have to literally BEG for a paid breakfast?
I have repeatedly seen reviews complaining about breakfasts in Bug, I thought people were exaggerating. No, they are not exaggerating, those who write good reviews just come earlier, and not an hour before the end of breakfast.
Therefore, the advice for those who are going to book this, in general, a good hotel is to book rooms without breakfast, or come early
We stayed with a family of 4 people passing through. The hotel is located just fine: near the bus station, railway station, park, Brest Fortress, street of lanterns and much more in a half-hour walk. The room is just wonderful: a double bed, two folding sofas, a huge bathroom with a shower and a bathtub😳 a set of towels for each resident, but only 2 bathrobes🤷♂️ there is also a dining table in the room, but only four glasses and a kettle are available from the dishes, and for some reason only 2 bottles of water 0.5😬 there is a mini fridge, TV, wi-fi. At the time of our stay, the weather was hot, and therefore we really lacked a split system🥵 but given the usual climate of the region, this option is most likely usually not in demand. The hotel has a room where Vysotsky stayed. There are also photos on the walls of famous personalities who lived in this hotel or were somehow connected with it. Paintings are placed along the corridors, the feeling that you live in a museum🙂 I would like to have bags of water on the floor, well, not everyone is suitable for drinking tap water...special thanks to the restaurant with its wonderful breakfasts (buffet), fruits, vegetables, porridge (though only one), omelette, scrambled eggs, sausages, casserole, pastries, juices, coffee machine.. in a word, you definitely won't go hungry, I think everyone will find something to their taste.. on the day of departure, however, there was a question about the availability of a free table, at the time of our visit to the restaurant there were no free tables, but after a couple of minutes the place was vacated and we settled down quietly. In general, I liked the hotel, it seemed a little overpriced, but apparently the season location plays a role here. In a word, we didn't regret a bit that we stayed at the Bug hotel. If we get to Brest again, we will most likely stay only at this hotel.
A wonderful hotel! We lived in room 209, where Vladimir Vysotsky stayed over the years. The room is beautiful and colorful. The interior is diluted with decor and furniture from the 70s. A large new and very comfortable bed. Nice pillows. There is a projector and a TV in the small room. There is a hair dryer. Towels. Wi-Fi. We had breakfast at the hotel, paid directly at the restaurant. The buffet is quite good. 2 types of scrambled eggs, porridge, flakes. Garnish and cutlets with gravy. Tea, coffee, fruits. We really liked it.
The hotel is located within walking distance from the train station (go over the bridge) and within walking distance from the main streets. There are many shops nearby, cheeses, sausages, ice cream, cosmetics.
Nice hotel, great location, friendly staff. The rooms are not large, very simple, but clean. There was no shoe spoon. The breakfast is good. The hotel does not have its own parking lot. There is a city parking lot nearby, if you are lucky, there will be places. Very close to the annual center are the pedestrian streets of Gogol and Sovetskaya. There is a very curious alley of forged lanterns on Gogol Street. The whole city evening life boils there. To the Brest fortress on foot 20 min., by car 5 min. There is a large parking lot at the will of the fortress.
A hotel with its pros and cons.
Among the advantages: a rich history and general interiors, the Vysotsky Museum, which often stopped here on the way to Europe, delicious and varied Swedish breakfasts, a good location, where it is not far from here.
The interior of the hotel: cheap rooms with synthetic curtains and bedspreads, terrible street noise from a busy highway under the windows, the lack of conduits in the rooms (and we got into 30 degree heat) - if there is a conditioner in the room, then the price instantly skyrocketed.
The hotel is wonderful, excellent location, delicious breakfasts, food in general, clean, cozy. Expensive and, accordingly, there is a requirement for this - perfection in everything. Unfortunately, there are nuances (complaints about towels, lack of water in the rooms, tea set, bathrobes and slippers, safe, bedside mats or to remove or clean, if soap and shampoo are provided, do not forget about shower gel). As it is, everything is very good. I would definitely stay at this hotel again (and more than once)
A wonderful hotel in the city center within walking distance from the transitional street, where the lamplighter lights gas lanterns. Gogol Boulevard with lanterns stylized for a variety of subjects. Reception with cute, not pretentious girls. They are very friendly, open, always trying to explain and help. The cleanliness is perfect everywhere. The food is excellent and varied, delicious. The room is small but cozy, clean with clean linen and a comfortable bed. I rested alone, single. There was a Vysotsky Museum on my floor. Interesting, I visited with pleasure. A bunch of celebrities lived in the hotel at different times. The railway station is literally across the railway tracks. A 10-minute walk away. I walked to the train. There is a market nearby . The room prices are very adequate. I love hotels with a twist. It's here. Thanks for the rest.
A wonderful hotel in Brest. Everything is very clean, breakfast is included (buffet). Convenient location, close to many shops and cafes, a beautiful park nearby. There is also a car and a railway station nearby. But it's not noisy outside the window. This is a historical place that has been placed by many famous people. It even has an entire room dedicated to the love story of Vysotsky and Vladi.
Recommend👍
We stayed in a family comfort room. Everything is fine, the room is clean, there is everything you need: slippers, shower gel, shampoo, air conditioning in the room, a kitchenette with a kettle, cutlery, a small refrigerator, a microwave oven. Breakfast is included, buffet style. The spacious bathroom has a large bathroom, shower stall, bidet. Towels and bathrobes are also provided. The windows faced the road, but there was no noise, and this is a big plus. Close to the street. Sovetskaya and other attractions.
A wonderful hotel. The room is clean, hygiene items, towels, bed linen, everything is clean. There is a hairdryer in the room. Room 203 - standard has air conditioning. The cafe serves a delicious buffet. The staff is polite, they always meet you halfway. You can ask for a kettle at the reception. There is an ironing board and an iron on the second and third floors near the elevator. From the elevator, which opens on two sides, you can access the courtyard.
In general, it's not bad. The hotel has a history, there is a small museum dedicated to Vysotsky, there are many photos of famous people who stayed at this hotel on the walls. Breakfasts are limited, and despite the fact that breakfast time was marked upon check-in, not all dishes were served. We had dinner in a restaurant one evening - everything is very good! I liked it - and the food is delicious, and the waiter's work is 5. There are several points that form the overall impression, for example - it is very dark in the bathroom, there are no slippers, although this is already the norm in all threesomes, there is no water, there is no mirror (only in a dark bathroom), towels are washed to such an extent, there is a fringe around the edges, and in general the room needs updating.
I was in this hotel for one night. Located in a historic building, many celebrities, including Vladimir Vysotsky, stayed in the walls of this hotel. The Vysotsky Memorial Museum is organized on the territory.
There are not many hotels in Brest in general, but my choice fell on this one. You come in and the surroundings and the atmosphere of the hotel make an impression.
But after settling in, suspicious thoughts began to creep in.
First, about the advantages.
The first is the atmosphere itself. After checking in, I couldn't help thinking that it was in such rooms and in such an environment that the cream of the Soviet nomenclature stayed. Carpets, columns, high ceilings. All this suggests that you are at the top of the food chain in the USSR.
Staff. They are like ants, they clean, clean, and wear everything all day long. It's right there in the eye. And indeed everything is neat, clean and not dusty everywhere. All the staff is fit, neat and friendly. This is undoubtedly a plus.
Now about the cons.
I repeat, the hotel positions itself as a historical and status place. Well, is it really impossible to hang homogeneous towels in the room (I hope the photo will appear in the attachment), that is, three towels are white and three will be bright green from another set. And the foot towel will be generally colorful. Perhaps someone will say that this is delicious and I got too much and in general, they say, be glad that they put it. But again, the room prices are by no means small, and there is no such thing in similar hotels.
A washing kit. Gentlemen, but this is a real darkness. Three pieces of soap, two shampoos and two gels. (photos should appear again) . The amount of funds in these bags is clearly not enough. If you are bearded and have hair on your head, then you need to apply it very economically. Fortunately, I am bald and bearded) but not even enough for a beard. Lumpy soap is generally microscopic, and it tries to slip out of your hands.
The room has a shower cabin. But there are no shelves in it, or rather there was clearly a shelf there, but apparently she went to work in another hotel. The fastening remains of it. (photo in the attachment) . That is, when you enter the booth, you have to jump like a jerboa with a bag of shampoo and gel so that God forbid they do not fall. (we remember that the contents of these bags are very small)
Conditioner. There is one in the room. But I had a two-room suite. One part has a sofa and a TV, the second one directly with a bed. Guess where the air conditioner is? That's right, in the part where the TV is. Its power is absolutely not enough to cool the entire room. I had to open the window, but it honestly didn't help much. It was +30 degrees celsius.
Toilet. It was in the room, but it was located in a strange way. It turns out that there are two doors leading to the toilet. One from the shower, the other from the hallway. (Walk-through toilet)). But it closes with only one door. There is a gaping hole in the second door in place of the lock. Therefore, sitting on a white friend, it is better to hold one door.
The room needs to be repaired or updated, there are scuffs and incomprehensible brown spots on the wallpaper.
Food. I took the accommodation with breakfast. At the reception, they clarified what time I plan to have breakfast and gave me a ticket indicating the time of the visit. Getting up early in the morning (to get to the Fraternal Fortress early) I decided to go into the dining room to have breakfast. What I saw near the restaurant once again brought my thoughts back to thinking about the late USSR. The queue of hotel guests stretched from the restaurant to the reception. To be honest, I don't like queues, especially on my legal vacation. Therefore, I decided to postpone breakfast. I went to read the press, studied the portraits of famous guests, watched TV. When I returned an hour later, I didn't see the queue anymore. I went into the breakfast room and started to put food on my plate. Breakfast is organized according to the buffet system.
There are no questions about the quality of the products and the assortment. Everything is decent enough. There is a coffee machine. However, I have reasonable suspicions that the food is not being updated. That is, they cooked 50 cheesecakes and that's it. The one who comes earlier has the opportunity to choose, the one who comes later has less choice. The one who comes at the end is satisfied with what remains.
Summarizing all of the above. The hotel is strangely stuck in time. The status of the past is fixed in the photos of celebrities , in architecture . But this is very little for the present. In a good way, you need to update the room stock, work with catering. It's probably worth stopping here once to feel like the secretary of the district party committee. But the second time I would look for other options, or even better to rent an apartment.
My wife and grandson and I were at the Bug Hotel from Saturday, June 22 to Saturday, June 29. We are satisfied with almost everything, and the location of the hotel, near the train station and in the very center of the city. There is a large recreation park with attractions nearby, the whole park is surrounded by tall trees and it is very comfortable in the heat, there are various cafes and points selling soft drinks and ice cream. And most importantly, the park is very clean. There is a large open-air railway museum next to the park. And if you cross the Warsaw highway, you will find yourself right in front of the Brest fortress. At the Bug hotel, we fixed one big minus - it is a very weak signal level of the free Internet, it works well only in the reception area. Otherwise, we were satisfied with everything.
We spent the night at the hotel from April 30 to May 1, 2024. The hotel is located next to the Russian Railways and the train and bus station. All locations of Brest are within walking distance. The hotel is clean, everything in the room is also without complaints. Breakfast is a buffet, we did not stay hungry, friendly girls are at the reception. Despite the fact that there is a road nearby, there is no noise. I recommend.
Great hotel. Convenient location!
5 minutes from the Bus station. The city center is 15 minutes away. The Brest Fortress is 20 km away .
Comfortable and cozy rooms. Delicious and hearty breakfasts.
There is a Vladimir Vysotsky Museum on site.
The staff is very nice and polite.
I recommend it!
We are staying at this hotel for the second time. The location is excellent, the staff is wonderful, the breakfast buffet with a large selection and delicious, the two-room rooms are spacious, everything would be great, but there is one THING, a couple to replace mattresses and pillows, this is a disaster at all(((
Wonderful hotel! convenient parking. the interiors of the halls and the restaurant are magnificent. the breakfast is amazing, there is a courtyard. opposite the hotel is the entrance to the park, near the train station. even a picky tourist will be satisfied.
Owners should think about updating the rooms, but it is not critical
We were on a guided tour. The room is clean and cozy. I liked the breakfast and dinner. They came to meet our group and fed us early so that we could go to Sovetskaya Street after dinner to light the lanterns (probably the main daily event in the city). It is good that the hotel is within walking distance from the main cultural objects of Brest.
A decent hotel.
The location is good, close to the car and railway stations, within walking distance of the Sights.
The hotel itself is small, clean, and the staff are polite.
Breakfast is a buffet without any frills.
We stayed at the hotel during a business trip to Brest.
Convenient location, everything is nearby. The room is clean, fresh bed linen and towels. The breakfasts are very good, even though we arrived at 10 o'clock, but there was the whole assortment, the waiter offered to bring something if something was missing. It was very tasty.
Next time, if I am in Brest, I will definitely choose this hotel.
Nice cozy hotel. Friendly service. Good location nearby, within walking distance of cafes, shops, the street where the lanterns are lit. The rooms are comfortable and modest, but clean and cozy enough. There is an elevator.
The hotel is very cozy. The rooms are small. The staff is in trouble, they are polite, but they do not know what is in the rooms, they did not help with early booking, although the room was free and we were ready to pay extra. Breakfast is 18 bel rubles, buffet - sliced sausage, cheese, ham of 1 type, vegetables, hot - rice with vegetables, sausages, nuggets, hercules, tea, coffee, juice and lemonade, cereals. It's not bad for a small hotel. Everything is fresh and delicious. The location is close to the train station and the center.
A good hotel. With a rich history of famous guests. The rooms are cozy and clean. Delicious and varied breakfasts. Near the railway station and the park. Nearby there is a pedestrian street (Sovetskaya). I recommend
The hotel is not far from the train station 600-700 meters away, but the noise of the train station and trains is not audible. The staff is polite. Without any problems, we changed the room, which was not very convenient for us, to a two-room one. The rooms are clean, simple, the furniture is not new, but quite decent, the air conditioning was only in one room. When the window is open at night, you can hear the road passing nearby. Breakfast is a buffet, the price is 20 Belarusian rubles. We went to a coffee shop 300-400 meters from the hotel, coffee and a couple of rolls for about 5-7 rubles. In general, I recommend it, near the Park of culture and recreation, within walking distance of the local Arbat (Sovetskaya Street)
It is well located, the center is nearby, the railway station and the car station are within walking distance. BREST fortress takes about 20 minutes at a calm pace.
The hotel, of course, is from the USSR. But! The breakfasts were very pleasantly surprised, the variety is not very good, but the quality is 5+.
A hotel with a history. interesting interiors, located in the city center.
It is very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The bathroom is a little cramped.
A wonderful buffet in the morning.
The hotel is located close to the Brest Fortress and also close to the pedestrian street, where there are many restaurants and cafes. The rooms are very small, the breakfasts are hearty and varied. The hotel is notable for the fact that Vysotsky and Maria Vladi stayed there.
I liked the hotel, it was clean and cozy. A delicious breakfast buffet. In the evening we visited the hotel restaurant, were satisfied with dinner, everything was delicious, the waitress was very friendly.
We liked the hotel. Good location. Near the railway station, park, shops. The room was clean, there was no refrigerator. The buffet breakfast is good for a fee.. Thank you very much.
We had a family vacation. There was a 3-bed room. Clear. The plumbing is not new, but everything worked. The water pressure is good. Breakfast is a buffet (delicious, there was everything you needed: porridge, cottage cheese, yogurt, sausages, omelette, fruits, etc.). Parking is free nearby. The pedestrian street is close.
Nice hotel for the night. Everything is neat and clean. They will help you with luggage storage if you arrive early or leave late. But early check-in or late check-out was not offered. The breakfasts are not bad. The room is clean, except for smudges on the wall near the window. The upper shower adjustment knob falls off in the shower. But this does not affect taking a shower, since there is another watering can. Convenient location - 7 minutes to the train station, 10 minutes to the main streets.
Bug is the best hotel. When I arrived, I thought at first: "Am I in heaven? "
The room is clean, large, the shower cabin is also clean, the toilet is clean. And most importantly, there is a boy there, he is a waiter. He communicates with visitors politely, his shirt is tucked into black trousers. The staff is polite to themselves. There is an elevator there, it is transparent (well, like a street view). They cook everything themselves. The food is awesome. They have a Buffet breakfast for 500 Russian rubles. When I ate once, 500 rubles were withdrawn from me, but it seemed to me that 2000 rubles should have been withdrawn. Bottom line: COME TO THIS MASTERPIECE HOTEL, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. There is a beautiful view from the windows. Near the train station. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the Brest Fortress, and 15 minutes to walk to the Brest Arbat. I advise everyone!
A good hotel for your money. The room is very modest, but clean, and this is the main thing for me.
The hotel is old, but it is being maintained as best it can.
Pleasant receptionists, responsive and friendly.
The breakfast is delicious, the choice is not great, but there is always something to choose from.
We stayed for one night, for one night - everything is fine.
convenient location.
A very nice hotel, which has the atmosphere of the USSR. The hotel has a Vysotsky Museum, many photos of famous people staying here. A varied breakfast buffet. The disadvantage is that there was no air conditioning in the room.
A good hotel, a little old in the interior, but clearly with a history. The staff is friendly, the room is clean. Not far from the Brest fortress, we walked, it was convenient for us, because we came for it.
A good hotel for your money. The location is very good - next to the railway. Delicious breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning in the room, please take it into account when traveling. There is a large parking lot for cars, as well as charging for electric vehicles. The room was clean and cozy. I advise you to visit the hotel.
Good location. The interior is cool.
The breakfasts are simple, but sufficient. Only orange juice was missing )
The standard room is small. The biggest disadvantage for me is the narrow and short bed.
But it's just that I'm 185 feet tall.
I'm ready to stop again)
The average level of the rooms. I liked the small exhibition related to Vladimir Vysotsky's stay at the hotel. The location is convenient, there is a parking lot. Breakfast is very average.
The rooms are clean, cozy, everything worked properly. The corridors are narrow, it's bad to inspect the paintings on the walls, but they are beautiful, of different eras, on canvases.Passing among the paintings, you forget about your door and had to go back. The Vysotsky Museum, a rack with dolls of the peoples of the world, is beautiful...I will note the breakfast separately-I was surprised by the variety of dishes and excellent service! I will definitely come back here and advise my colleagues.
A cozy hotel in the center of Brest, within walking distance of the Brest Fortress Memorial. The staff is friendly. The breakfasts are delicious. The restaurant was pleased with delicious food and reasonable prices.
Nice hotel. Cosy. The breakfasts are full. There is parking. A restaurant with an outdoor terrace in the courtyard. The room is neat. We are traveling around Belarus. An excellent choice
Excellent location, historical place, normal breakfasts, beautiful interiors and paintings, friendly pleasant staff. On the downside, the room is dirty, the towels look like they went through the Afghan war, the Internet often crashes. But in general, it is quite acceptable for such money.
Not a bad hotel, in the city center. A good breakfast buffet. The price/quality ratio is normal - the condition of the room corresponded to its low price. Some questions were raised by the degree of freshness of the bed linen... Photos are attached...
We spent the night in this hotel with the whole family, in a room with four beds. Not a bad place, clean rooms, working air conditioning, hot water and towels, everything is present. A solid four!!! The breakfast buffet is not bad, the food is good. There are places for walking nearby. In general, I recommend it.
I can't give 5 stars, the rooms are "granny knickers". But human attitude, friendliness and cleanliness are the key to success!!!
The owner loves his hotel very much, it's obvious. There is even a room (museum) of V.S. Vysotsky. Everything is very old, but clean and well maintained. Price/quality. The numbers are just to roll the dice for the night. The rooms are very sad (wallpaper, decoration, engineering ... everything needs to be changed, of course) but you leave the room and everything changes.) The dining room is great. And the two adjacent rooms are museum exhibits, where you can touch everything and just spend time.(photo from there) Thank you to the staff.🙏🏻
A hotel with its own special mood. Overall, I liked it. Near the railway station, not far from the Brest fortress, it is easy to walk to Sovetskaya Street.
We were in April. It was cold in the room (slightly warm batteries and a strong blow from the window)
. There is a refrigerator in the room, a shower cabin in the bathroom, disposable sachets with soap and shampoo.
They asked for a kettle at the reception. The Wi-Fi is not working well. He only caught it in the hallway, but he didn't even see the net in my room.
We spent 2 nights . The very next day, towels were changed, sachets and toilet paper were added. thank you!
A very decent buffet breakfast in the restaurant (paid separately). Everything is delicious.
We booked an economy room for two (212) with breakfast. The first thing that surprised the price was 5000+ Russian rubles for an economy room. It's OK, all prices in Brest are very overpriced in terms of price / quality. But the shower didn't work in our room at all, and the glass shelf was hanging out, which, with careless movement, can be dropped-broken-hurt, it's just not safe. The water did not leave the word at all, the switch itself was leaking very much.
They told the administrator, he said unscrew it yourself, I refused, he came, looked at it but did nothing, said the plumber would only be at 9 a.m. the next day.
There was also no other number offered. It was decided to stay, but to ask for compensation, which was refused.
One star was added only for the restaurant, the breakfast was no frills but delicious, the restaurant itself is well maintained and fresh.
The rest is in photos and videos.
The rooms are small, but cozy enough. Cleanliness is of course scary (a lot of stains on the bedding) otherwise the staff is pleasant, the general atmosphere is good and the location is good)
