Clean, quiet, very warm, within 5 minutes walking distance from the museums and 20 minutes on foot to the center, a very responsive young man at the reception (gave a map, told how to use transport, where to eat, printed boarding passes before departure, answered all questions) - these are undoubted advantages. The disadvantages are the old building and the old rooms. Well, the peculiarity of all the traditional buildings in the center of Amsterdam is the almost vertical staircase between the floors, very narrow and steep!
