a must-visit. A modern museum, a rich exposition, everything is well served, you perfectly understand what happened and how it was.The air conditioner is working, the caretakers are not evil, they can politely explain, but if you try to break the rules, they will also politely stop)
There was a tour from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages. Like it. The guide is very attentive. It is very interesting and informative. The expositions are impressive.
I advise you to visit.
I visited this museum for the first time last year, there was no free guide, information about the exhibits is in English and Armenian. This year we came to 12 (a group gathers every 2 hours). My son and I were alone, no one joined us, so it turned out to be an individual tour at the price of a group one. It cost 5,000 drams plus a ticket for 2500 drams each. We went around the museum in an hour, liked it, I recommend it to all guests of Armenia.
Great museum! I recommend you to visit.
Be sure to take a tour in Russian. All information about the exhibits is in Armenian and English.
I thank our guide Anna. Introduced me to the museum. Interesting information presented. Answered questions. It was fun 🙂
Thanks to the museum staff for organizing the space so well and preparing the exhibits. 👍🏻
A museum is like a museum. Historical. But without any originality or something. Classic, that's the right word for it. I still love a museum with a twist, a soul. It's purely classic here. You cannot enter without a guided tour. Guided tours are conducted in sessions in different languages. We still need to get into our language. The group, as I understand it, will be recruited anyway.
It is simply a crime to travel around Armenia and not visit this museum. thanks to the guide Gayana for the informative lecture. I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, at the time of the visit (July 24th), the halls were under reconstruction after the medieval period.
We liked the museum. A large number of really interesting exhibits. We were without a tour, but everything is clear. There are annotations in English, our level was enough to understand.
I recommend it to those who are interested in history.
We will definitely visit again on our next trip to Armenia.
The new exhibition is just a bomb!
With reconstructions, with cartoons.
With copies of the exhibits that you can touch!
Especially the Bronze Age bowl with several rows of comics impressed me. And the whole cart from the tomb.
It's better to go for a while so that you can look at it.
The only thing is that on the 3rd floor, all the Russian language was removed. But it's well written in English.
A very beautiful museum, it is not expensive, I recommend you to visit. As many as 3 floors of exhibits and a bunch of fascinating signatures. You can visit more than once
An interesting collection, although unfortunately only archaeology, so the name does not really correspond to the concept of the exhibition. But the art gallery is wonderful, especially Aivazovsky
The museum's exposition tells about the history of Armenia from antiquity to the Middle Ages. It is located on the 3rd floor. 1st and 2nd floor - temporary exhibitions, carpets at the moment. The disadvantage is that the information is presented only in Armenian and English. If you don't own them, take a guide. We had Diana - great! 1.5 hours of an interesting story.
Conveniently located, it can be immediately combined with the National Gallery. A good collection of ancient artifacts, it is better of course to watch with a guided tour so as not to miss something interesting. Temporary exhibitions are also held.
The museum is generally interesting, but there are no descriptions of the exhibits in Russian. Only Armenian and English are available. We understand what this means. And the sediment also remained. That's how the whole country tries to drive on square wheels.
A sooo rich museum. It's better to take a guided tour. We walked on our own, so there was not enough information, of course. Although there are quite a lot of stands.
Diana is an excellent guide, an hour and a half flew by unnoticed, it would be possible to continue listening. A wonderful exposition, the carpet exhibition is impressive. On a rainy day, the museum turned out to be very appropriate.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to Roland for his interesting presentation of the history of Armenia. During the tour, we were able to look at the historical facts that we already know from a new perspective. It was a fascinating journey through the corridors of time with a fantastically exciting presentation of the material. Thanks to our guide, we were imbued with deep respect for the proud and steadfast Armenian people, who are able to survive difficult times and carry the love of their native land in their hearts through the centuries. We wish the museum prosperity and replenishment of the collection with new historical materials. I wish the employees good health and a peaceful sky over their heads.
Three enthusiastic travelers from St. Petersburg
My first visit to the History Museum won my heart. The hall with decorations and carpets made a great impression! My soul rested looking at the handmade patterns.
The designers of the expositions worked very well. Easy navigation, lots of light.
The entire second floor is closed! That is, only before the Bronze Age and there is no information anywhere that these halls are closed. And there's the most interesting thing! I have a bad impression of the museum and the approach of the museum staff!
A great museum, beautiful exhibits. You can walk on it for a long time and study them. Be sure to visit.

One of the best museums in terms of layout and saturation. The staff is very polite and helpful. An additional plus is an art gallery and an exhibition of copies of frescoes from the 4th - 13th century. Below you can buy replicas of jewelry displayed in the museum))
A wonderful museum, very interesting, a lot of very different exhibits and good additions with video sequences on special screens about how people in ancient times built certain products, etc.
The museum has spoiled the impressions of Yerevan. All exhibits can be found in every museum of the history of any country, there is not a single inscription in Russian. For 7500 drams per person, you will get a tired guide who will try to remember Russian words twice as long as the stated time. If you do not mind your time and money, in no case do not buy a tour, walk around the halls and then get more information.
The exposition of antiquities is impressive. However, it's a bit poor for the main museum of the country. Without the museum staff, it is completely unclear where to go and where the continuation of the exhibition is
There is no ramp for strollers and reading in English is probably not as convenient as in Russian either )
Therefore , the impressions of the museum were the worst . There is no audio guide either. You can't book a tour in Russian either. In short, minimal customer orientation
I expected more, in fact, there are only a couple of halls for the entire museum of history: from the Stone Age to the Bronze Age.. There is also an art gallery and a carpet museum, but it is just above the floor for additional inspection.
Be sure to visit!)
the location is not better to come up with, history is an important part of any state. be sure to check the opening hours. the children were also satisfied.
