A very cozy hotel, I would love to come back again, breakfasts, pool location - everything is super 🎉
Pleasant calm atmosphere, atrium for breakfast 👌
But someone may not like rooms with imperfect furniture, remoteness from the sea, tuk-tuks and vacationers from China, as well as the hotel accepts tourists with animals: both pussies and dogs.
Great hotel. Solid furniture in good condition. The bed is beyond praise. The territory is not large, but it is green and attractive. Nice, clean pool. There is a private parking. The sea is 5 minutes away. I didn't really like the beach in this place. If you walk along the beach 10-15 minutes to the left, it will be better there.
We had a rest from March 18 to March 30, 2024.
This is our first time in this hotel, and this is the fourth time in Thailand. Having visited Asia once, then he is constantly drawn there.
I chose the hotel according to its location – close to the sea (at a slow pace of 10 minutes). Near the market with Russian street and good exchangers, with access to tuk-tuks, which can easily get to the center without transfers. I really like the Pratamnak area, it is quite quiet and close to places of entertainment. I read a lot of reviews, and despite some shortcomings, I chose Hill Fresco.
They checked us into the room as soon as they arrived. The ordered Deluxe room was given on the 5th floor, room 517, overlooking the sea and the pool, very clean, nothing fell off, it looks like it was recently updated. There were three of us, so an extra bed was installed in the room. We moved into the room, turned on the air conditioner, and immediately found a problem – condensation began to flow. A bucket of water spilled directly onto the extra bed. They informed the reception, they came to eliminate it immediately. It didn't work out once, they called me again. The bed was replaced, the water was collected. Objectively, the disadvantages in the room are: weak lighting, even if you turn on all the lamps, a small bathroom, which creates problems when leaving the shower, the air conditioner blows directly on the bed, an uncomfortable wardrobe, there are no shelves for clothes, only hangers and mezzanines at high altitude. But in general, these are all small things. There are bathrobes and slippers in the closet, and a work safe. There is water in the glass, they change it every day, bags of coffee and cream, there is no tea, but there is an electric kettle, cups and glasses. There is a clothes dryer on the balcony, large bottles of detergents in the bathroom – shower gel, shampoo.
I read in the reviews about the noise from the construction site in front of the hotel, we did not hear, or perhaps the noisy work was finished.
The territory is pretty, well-groomed, there are always free sun beds near the pool, no one occupies them at night, maybe because there are few Russians there. The hotel has the most Chinese people, they are brought in large groups for several days. The noise from them early in the morning when they leave or go on excursions. The rest of the time they are not visible. Well, when you cross paths with them at breakfast, the staff does not always have time to replenish the food. They put mountains of food on their plates. Pets are allowed in the hotel, so if you don't like dogs, this is not your option.
Regarding cold breakfasts, this is not entirely true. All containers are connected for heating, but the lids are open. The hotel should put signs next to the names of dishes and close the lids. But the food seemed quite warm to me. For breakfast there are always sausages, sausage, several egg dishes, noodles, rice, hot salad, vegetables, sauces for dressing, coffee from a coffee machine, cocoa (quickly running out), juices, such as Jupi, baked goods, jams. Of the fruits, only watermelons and dragon fruit.
It was my birthday on the day of arrival, which the tour operator notified the hotel in advance, but they still forgot to congratulate me, I had to remind myself. They brought a small cake and plates.
The staff is friendly and tries to help immediately. But they only speak English.
There is a busy street near the hotel with a bunch of cafes, massage parlors, shops and a pharmacy. The cafe is mostly populated by Europeans and a few Russian-speaking tourists. The beach is a very slow 10-minute walk away. In recent years, the sea in Pattaya has cleared, so we swam without any problems. Sunbeds for 100 baht, we did not find less, but it is quite possible to sunbathe on a towel or mat.
After a week of staying in the room, we had another emergency – a short circuit in the wiring, because it did not work out quickly, then we were moved to another room on the 3rd floor, with an increase in the room category, for the inconvenience caused. Room 323 has a larger area, better lighting and a larger bathroom and balcony. The design seemed worse, but the taste and color…
For meals outside the hotel – most often at the Pratamnak night market or from makashnits. But once we went to the Terminal 21 shopping center, there is a very good food court, called Pier 21, located on the top floor at the opposite end from the main entrance. There is a huge selection of food, the prices are small, they did not find it lower in Pattaya. A plate of Tom yam soup is 55 baht. At the entrance, put any amount on the card, go choose a meal, there is a reader near each counter, attach a card to it and the cost of the dish is recorded there. When you exit, you return the card to the cashier and the remaining amount is refunded to you.
Tours were taken via the Internet. Prices were collected on the street and prices were compared, I am surprised, but street tours turned out to be at the same price or even higher. They didn't take any chances and took it where they planned. The River Kwai (we were there for the first time 11 years ago), X show 69 (I liked the Big Eye more), Discovery and the Tiffany show (we used to go to the Alcazar and the Colosseum – I liked it the most). Everything is fine, but the accompanying guides suffer from the presentation of the material, which is not surprising - this is not their main activity. But the organization is at a good level. They chose a big bus on Kwai, because the crossings are big, and it's hard to sit in a small one. On their own, my men went to the salon for body massage (erotic massage). For every 2 excursions purchased, there is a discount on the next ones or a trip to the Military Beach. Ask the agents about it, do not hesitate.
We climbed Pratamnak Mountain ourselves to the Big Buddha. The Chinese temple is no longer working there and the passage to it is closed.
