We had a rest from October 5 to October 14 with a company of 5 people - 3 adults and 2 children. for almost 6 years. We liked everything very much. A beautiful well-maintained area with flamingos, a playground and a swing in the dining room were very useful for our children. In the evening we went up to the roof, there were garlands, bean bags, tables, sofas, and we watched beautiful sunsets on one side, mountains on the other.
The food is great! I have never eaten so much delicious, good beef in my life, in general, the food is excellent, there was always a choice! Yes, there were main dishes (the side dish is standard - buckwheat, rice, pasta, potatoes), but at the same time something different - then pilaf, then roast, then meat in gravy... Mmm, there were fresh salads too, vegetables. Coffee in the morning. Tea is always black/green. Juice and milk in the morning.
We enjoyed relaxing in the rustic exotics - cows, horses, geese in a pond nearby, frogs 🐸every day 🙂 at the same time we had both the sea and a normal pool, by the way, clean, warm (heated), and we went to Gagra twice (to the colonnade and the seaside park, and to the dolphinarium 🐬), we went to Pitsunda.
Twice in the evening we rested in the cafe "Cote d'Azur" by the sea. Disco, shrimp, fish, beer... In general, our vacation was 1000% great!
Thank you very much to our chef Hakim for the delicious food every day, Lana and Lolita for the pleasant spiritual atmosphere. I did not want to leave at all.

A good rest, in general, I recommend it! We have been vacationing in Higos since June 11, 24. The staff is friendly and courteous! We were greeted and conducted very kindly ! Very beautiful and cozy territory, a warm swimming pool and within walking distance - a huge beach, sparsely populated, clean! But in terms of nutrition, of course, so-so, absolutely, breakfast is still decent, we didn't even go to lunch and dinner. Coffee is paid, 100rubles. Therefore, we bought coffee, sugar, and milk for ourselves. We had dinner in a cafe (pictured with green curtains) or in the dining room in the village. A wonderful roof, with stunning views of the mountains and the sea, it seems even there movies are shown in the evenings and there are hookahs, BUT! - plastic wicker chairs - sagged to the floor, disassembled, climbed to the roof once, I didn't want any more. There is a very diluted soap in the room and in the shower too, some kind of bottle, it is unclear with what. Therefore, I also bought a shower gel, I had a hair dryer and shampoo with me, there is no hair dryer in the room. During the week, the room was cleaned 1 time and the garbage was taken away 1 time. We bought the toilet paper ourselves.
At the same time, the price for two for a week was 70 thousand. The village has everything you need, and it's delicious to eat - a canteen or cafe, household items are also there. But all these little things did not spoil the rest! All the numerous disadvantages were compensated by the stunning nature, the sea and friendly, hospitable people!

We are resting at the hotel now. The room is excellent: a double room with an extra bed. The linen is clean, the pillows and blankets are of high quality, but the mattresses are a bit harsh. Special thanks to the hotel staff! Everyone is very friendly and responsible: they do their job perfectly! Milan's girl from the reception, the maid Elsa, the bartender Tamuna - this is a separate love!!! Unfortunately, I didn't remember the names of all the employees! The food in the restaurant is fresh and varied, always delicious, made from high-quality products, for which cook Hakim and his assistant have a separate bow.The beach is a couple of minutes walk (sand/ pebbles): very wide with a convenient entrance to the water. There are always free sun beds and umbrellas for hotel guests. There was garbage on the beach, but it was promptly removed.
In general, there are some advantages in terms of price and quality of services! We recommend it and want to come back more than once!

Choosing a place for a summer vacation, the choice fell on the Higos hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted very friendly, we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room and the well-groomed territory of the hotel.
The hotel is located next to the sea, literally 3 minutes at a calm pace. The sea is clean and transparent, the sun beds from the hotel are free, there are almost no people on the beach. About food. At first we were wary when we saw the negative reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. In fact, the breakfasts, lunches and dinners are very tasty. For breakfast there are two types of porridge, fruits, vegetables, omelette, nipples, etc. Also delicious pastries. For lunch and dinner there are soups, salads and second courses, not only side dishes, but also meat dishes. The hotel staff is kind and helpful. We are very glad that we chose this hotel.

In general, the hotel is excellent, there are disadvantages and advantages. The pros outweigh the cons, I would say.
-food (there are options, but the choice is small, but everything is very tasty, a huge disadvantage is that there is nothing else to drink except tea and water, only because of the food I would put the hotel 3 out of 5, there are not enough trays to at least carry the food themselves, and not one plate at a time every now and then they carry it to the table, and there is still no air conditioning in the dining room, it is very hot);
- there are no children's chairs in the dining room;
- the rooms seem to be well renovated, but shabby (the rooms are cleaned every day, surprisingly even the bed linen was changed often, there is no hair dryer, there are toothbrushes, but it would be better to put disposable slippers);
-noisy in the rooms (audibility is good, plus something rustles, cracks, there was a room on the 2nd floor, even if you do not close the balcony, there may be bedbugs in the room);
- the playground is plastic for kids, which heats up from the sun and it is impossible to approach during the day;
-the beach is not equipped (there are sun beds, no canopies)
-children basically have nothing to do;
- there are power outages, but not critical;
-parking a car outside the hotel, where cows walk and you worry that the car will catch
- there is a local grocery store nearby;
-there is a roof terrace with a bar, but it has not been brought to mind, no one is watching it, tables are not cleaned, garbage is not. During the 10 days of stay, the children were shown a movie on the projector only twice.
- there is nothing to do in this hotel without a car, as there is nowhere to go nearby, because this is a village.

We stayed at this hotel in September 2024. We lived in a two-room apartment. I would like to thank the management of this hotel and the staff and note some nuances of the room and the hotel:
1. Curtains in the room. They do not close all the windows, there are cracks everywhere, the curtain does not reach the end of the window at the entrance to the room.
2. There are no cupboards or bedside tables in any room. For 4 people, we had one chest of drawers (3 drawers), which stood in the living room and a floor hanger with several hangers. Instead of cabinets, there are decor. bed limiters. Things had to be left on the floor in suitcases or on tables near beds.
3. A gap in the entrance door through which animals fly in and crawl in.
4. The sewage system is not properly assembled, there is a smell in the rooms.
5. The floor lamp, which was broken, is not safe, we were relaxing with the child, it's good that she did not show interest in it.
6. Poor quality cleaning after previous tenants.
7. All the furniture in the room is different and it is in poor condition, it feels like it was built in a hurry and furniture was assembled all over Abkhazia.
8. A small refrigerator that had a rubber band long before us and which did not cool but froze. Such a HO is too small for 4 people.
9. Table with two chairs (for 4 people). Yes, there is a sofa in the room that could turn over if you sit on the edge of the sofa (the sofa is generally a misunderstanding).
10. Bad plumbing, taps that have already seen the sights and a watering can that splashed in different directions. The toilet tank is broken, the water takes a long time and is noisy.
11. The microwave stands on the refrigerator and makes a crackling sound, I had to constantly rearrange it to warm the food.
12. There is no trash can under the sink in the living room.
13. There is no heating in the pool. The water is much colder than in the sea. They promised to turn on the heating on the day of arrival, but they never turned it on.
14. "Patchwork" technique for laying carpet. Not critical, but it catches the eye.
15. We were with a child (2,8) there is only 1 child's chair for the entire hotel. The stool is not wiped after eating, it is all dirty and greasy. The rest of the children were sitting on their parents' laps. At the end of our vacation, another high chair appeared and it seemed that they began to wipe them after eating
16. There are always not enough places in the dining room. The hotel is growing, apparently there are no tables in the dining room.
17. There are not enough cutlery and mugs, you also have to wait for someone to finish / finish, the staff will wash and take it out.
18. Not a convenient meal line. Plates should be placed not in the middle of the tables but at the beginning, otherwise you have to stand in two queues.
19. There are no gaps. I had to put a plate on and go and get in line again.
20. The food is varied, but if you do not have time to come to the beginning of a meal, hot (for example, goulash, you may not get it, only a little water)
21. There is a very long time interval between meals. It is not critical for adults, for children you need to think about what to have a snack.
22. There is no laundry room. The services of our room included laundry, but it was necessary to give our dirty things to the girls so that they could wash and give them back.
23. There was almost never an administrator at the reception.
24. We had to ask for toilet paper ourselves, the cleaners do not pay attention to such moments. The room was cleaned 1 time in 7 days, the garbage was taken out daily.
25. There is no dining hair dryer in the room, they were given out on request, after eviction they were told to return it.
26. The sockets in the room are not finished, the wires are just sticking out, it is not safe.

Let's take a closer look at the rest at the Higos hotel in the village of Alakhadzy. We rested from 09/19/2024, the weather was not very good, it was raining and cool, there was almost no sun and no heat either, I don't know whether it was already cool in September in Abkhazia or we were just unlucky.
The hotel in 2018, in general, is not bad, but there was no repair, apparently, it is already shabby. The carpet in the corridors is terrible, the extractor hood in the bathroom does not work, as well as the light bulbs above the shower, where there is no door or curtain, the curtains and curtains are shabby, the humidity is high and in the bathroom you can see it on a white background, something like mold.
Three meals a day according to the buffet system, the food is homemade, normal, except tea for lunch and dinner they do not give anything from drinks, there is still juice and milk for breakfast, sometimes peas and rice are not cooked, for example, mashed potatoes are not salty, cutlets and meatballs are not tasty, semolina porridge too, the best meal It's breakfast. There is no coffee in the hotel at all.
The room has a kettle, mugs and tea bags, there is a balcony, a dryer on it, the air conditioner is working, the TV is also on, there is a good Wi-Fi, only one fan works in the dining room, there is no shower holder in the room, it is not very convenient to wash, I said several times about it, they did not refuse me, but also they didn't fix anything, apparently they forgot.
There is a swimming pool on the territory of the hotel, it is not heated, the water is cold there and you can swim there only in the heat of 30 degrees, it takes 2 minutes to walk to the beach, there are few sun beds, but there are umbrellas right in the hotel you can take soft mattresses, pebbles on the beach, it is very painful to walk, you need aquashouses, without them in any way, they are for sale in the village for 400 rubles.
The hotel administrator, Lana, is a friendly and responsive young girl, she does not happen at the reception, as she serves guests at all meals.
There is nothing on site, just a swimming pool, a shower, a playground, a tiny slide, swings and a carousel.
There is a veranda on the roof, but it is not well maintained and is not used, there is also a bar with hookahs, which can be ordered for an additional fee. There is no animation or movement.
Beach towels are provided, there is nothing in the room except towels, no slippers or bathrobes.
But there is a price list for damages on the reception desk, there are such prices for items and furniture in the room, which clearly exceeds their real value by 2 times. It seems that this hotel was built by amateurs, all blunders.
Alakhadzy is a remote village between Gagra and Pitsunda, there is nothing of entertainment, there are small cafes and shops, they sell everything that Abkhazia is famous for. Only cows and their feces.
There are buses to Gagra, Pitsunda and so on. You can also order a taxi, there are many excursions from the hotel. There are also guided tours on the street.
The villagers seem to be tired of people already.
The prices are high, one and a half times higher than in Russia, for all banal products, such as sweets, ice cream or chips, for example, even for water.
The lights are often turned off for a long time, which means there is no TV and Wi-Fi, and since we got terrible weather, it's just a nightmare! The kitchen is open and it's terribly cold in bad weather and the water flows inside.
In general, Abkhazia is all in ruins, some abandoned, dirty beaches, driftwood, fittings, garbage, it is clear that they do not invest money, everything is made of cheap material, dirty and old, how much they need to move away from the war with Georgia is not known, the prices for rest are very high, and not worth it.
I can recommend a vacation in this village and in this hotel for people over 50 who are not pretentious and do not expect anything from a vacation. Young people and families with children will be bored here.

Someone doesn't like the small selection, but we were satisfied) A warm swimming pool and bathing facilities are provided. The lights and water are turned off at night, but we were sleeping at that time. For lunch and dinner we went to the cafe Veranda on firewood and Scarlet sails, the average price tag is 1.5-2k per family. The beach is clean, there are very few people. Cows roam, but it's still a village) to get to the city without problems, and a bus and a taxi. Very friendly locals)In general, I did not want to leave, the rating is 5+

We rested in HIGOS from 09.08-18.08.23. I would like to thank the hotel staff for their hospitality, friendliness, and good attitude towards the guests. We have been at the hotel since June 9, 2024. We chose a hotel with meals to eat on the spot. The food in the hotel is disgusting, there is no buffet in sight. For breakfast: one porridge, empty side dishes: pasta, rice, from drink: water, compote (sometimes it was not poured) and tea, for lunch: one soup, side dishes are the same as for breakfast, dinner is the same. There's nothing to eat. There are no vegetables, fruits, pastries, salads at all. You can not even enter the hotel's dining room and go to eat in a cafe for an additional fee. The photo shows the entire buffet. The management does not take any measures to eliminate this problem, although 90% of the hotel are dissatisfied. If you are going to come here, then do not count on food, it is not here. The impression is ruined. I do not recommend this hotel for recreation.

Hello everyone. We checked out of this hotel today after staying only two days instead of ten. We chose a ticket at a travel agency, the main criterion was food (buffet), since we are traveling with children. In general, this hotel has no idea what a buffet is. There is one porridge option for breakfast, one soup option for lunch, no fish, vegetables, fruits, pastries are completely absent. There are no salads either. Some of the side dishes are empty. The worst food I've ever seen. Many people go to eat in canteens and cafes, which are located a kilometer from the hotel. On the first day I came to dinner, asked if there was anything to drink, they said it was only water, although there was a decanter of compote on the table, into which water was then poured. Like pigs in old berries. Anyway, it's TERRIBLE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. This is a hotel where there is no food at all, but you will pay for it. The whole buffet is in the photo, for all residents.

It's creepy! No way here. An old hotel, damp and mildew in the rooms (which is actually very dangerous for health), very cold. There is no food at all. We had full board. For lunch, we were offered ONLY SIDE DISHES: buckwheat, rice and pasta. And chicken soup. THAT's IT! As a result, we didn't eat there. The pool is dirty, not cleaned. Without heating. There is nothing on the territory.
There was not a single guest in the hotel except us for 3 days, in the middle of May! I think he has such a bad reputation that no one goes there. And we don't recommend it to you. I really regret that I did not read the reviews about him before booking.
Of the advantages, only the polite staff. But this does not save the situation))

The food in the cafe is sooo delicious, we tried different dishes and compared them with cafes in different regions of Abkhazia: Pitsunda, Gagra, Afon Rizza, the hotel is decent!

We rested here in August 2023.
A wonderful hotel, very cozy, quiet and peaceful.
The staff is very adequate with great zeal to help and resolve any issue.
The sea is a 2-minute walk away.
In the sea, the water is clean and transparent, there are practically no people on the beach, which is a big plus.
If you need southern hustle, cafes, shops, etc., then you need to walk 5 minutes to Shahumyan Street (it is central in this locality).
There is a swimming pool on site, very nice rooms, we had on the 1st floor with access to the courtyard and a balcony.
The hotel is definitely 10/10.
I want to come back here again!

A very nice hotel. It is clear that the hosts are trying to make the guests feel comfortable, clean, cozy, good food and wonderful staff. A clean swimming pool and the main sea are 100 m away. The rooms were clean, the light outages in the morning were a bit upsetting, but this is the problem of the entire Gagra district... In general, we had a very good rest, the beach next to the hotel is pebbly, there are very few people, the sea is clean. Breakfast was included, three courses, plus a drink very tasty!

In September 2021, we rested at the Higos Hotel. The location itself was conceived by the owner as a hotel for a quiet, far from the hustle and bustle of rest. There are practically no neighbors, retail outlets, cafes, etc. Nearby. The silence is broken only by a diesel generator operating outside the territory (or something similar). There is a swimming pool on site, clean, with a shower. The area is replete with tropical plants. The room is small, it has a minimum of furniture. An unpleasant surprise was the "roaring" refrigerator, which we could not replace. Therefore, I had to turn it off at night. The TV is powered by the Internet, not always stable. Rooms are cleaned daily, towels are changed on request. The hotel has its own kitchen. Breakfasts were included in the price, they were cooked delicious, I would like to have a more varied menu. During the day and in the evening, you can also eat at the hotel. From what we ate, we especially liked the cooked trout, as well as the khachapuri "boat". The weather was great, so the vacation was a success!

The best place to be alone with the sea and your loved ones. This is our first time in Abkhazia. Our relatives invited us to Alakhadze to rest, but their hotel was full. But I had already tuned in and started looking for a place not far from them, but closer to the sea. Somehow, the gaze stopped at Higos. The reviews here were not very good, but the booking was great. I booked a room directly from the hotel, found the phone on Instagram. They answer for a long time, but when they called, the booking specialist Daria told everything in detail, answered all the questions, carefully wrote down the wishes.
We were driving from Rostov-on-Don. We reached Adler by train, then took a taxi to the border and then took a local taxi driver.
Now about the hotel. Higos is a small Europe in the middle of 1997. A small village in Abkhazia is still not a resort town. But the owners and staff of the hotel were able to truly make a full-fledged holiday here. We took the connect number for three adults and a 2.5 year old child. Breakfast is included in the price. Lunch and dinner can be served on the menu. The breakfast is sooooo hearty and delicious, the menu is varied. One day - scrambled eggs, porridge and pancakes. The second day is an omelet with vegetables, pancakes and other porridge. Both the child has a delicious meal, and the adults have enough to eat. At lunchtime from 13 to 15, a 20% discount on the food menu - khachapuri, meat, salads, pasta: the choice is very extensive.
The hotel itself is very clean, the rooms are freshly decorated. Cleaning every day. In general, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. We have created chat rooms at the entrance, if there is any problem, just write to the chat and everything is solved. Thanks a lot to Julia's administrator and assistants, too.
There is a kettle, refrigerator, water, tea in the room.
One disadvantage is that there is not enough organization at breakfast. In general, understanding how many guests are in the hotel, you can prepare in advance and then the submission will not be so long.

We stayed at the hotel in September 2023. Among the advantages, a well-groomed territory and delicious breakfasts, but if you come at the end of breakfast, keep in mind that they may refuse, citing the fact that the kitchen is already closed. As it turned out during the stay, the hotel was flooded earlier, in this regard, there is a smell of dampness and mold in the rooms, you can only stay in the room with the door to the balcony open. When booking, it was said that there is a guarded parking lot, a functioning swimming pool, a terrace on the third floor, where movies are broadcast in the evenings. As a result, the pool was bloomed, it was cleaned after 2 days of our stay and complaints, the terrace turned out not to function, as the screen was torn off by the wind, and the sun beds apparently wiped over time, or were damaged in the flood. At the end of our wonderful stay at this hotel, in the supposedly guarded parking lot, a cow scratched the bumper of the car, and we were refused compensation, citing the fact that it is like a meteor shower, and no one is immune from this. The concept of the hotel is interesting, but the execution is very lame. The price does not correspond to the quality of services provided.

I consider Alakhadzi village to be a good hotel.
So: upon arrival at 14:30, the room was not ready yet, but for a short wait we were kindly provided with a bottle of dry white wine, which we drank with pleasure.
The territory is fenced, Parking is behind a fence, but for vacationers this is rather a plus, because there is no noise of cars and smells.
The room is large, the ceilings are high.
We rested on the ground floor (the even side is exactly what I recommend).
A convenient place for suitcases.
The shower room is good, but there are drawbacks:
- hoses leak in some rooms;
- the holders no longer hold the hose in the right position;
- there aren't enough hooks in the shower.
Breakfast is included. The food is good, but there are no vegetables at all.
Breakfast starts at 8:30, but if you need to leave earlier, they will do it earlier on request.
The beach is just around the corner.
They give you a beach towel and umbrellas.
The administrator Adam is very attentive. He responds readily to requests.
Xenia, the hostess, is very hospitable.
We are very happy with our stay at this hotel.

Let's start with breakfast: vegetarian garbage! Prices are like in Moscow on red square, and the quality is like in a kebab shop, of course there are good dishes (barabulka, khachapuri)
About the rooms: it is not possible to lie on the mattress, but you can try to ask for a mattress pad that will be quite difficult for you to get.
The hotel is located on a vacant lot in a field, there are no relict trees, the pool is muddy and with a lot of chlorine, there is a bar on the third floor (which is not in working condition), the sea is icy (since an icy, mountain river flows there) if you want to swim in warm water you will have to overcome 1.5 km of dusty road through The attraction is the cemetery.
I would like to see this hotel when the owner is in it, because a lot of things have changed dramatically when he appeared.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND the hotel!!
We booked a room for 3 nights, arrived at the hotel the day before to confirm our arrival to the administrator, at the same time to see the location, the hotel itself (we just mixed from one city to another, were in the neighborhood)
As a result, we arrive the next day, earlier, to check in with our belongings, and our room was SOLD!!!! Without warning, without canceling our reservation!!! Although I personally corresponded with the head the day before and also confirmed the reservation to her!
Terrible attitude towards customers!!!
Therefore, if you have booked and confirmed your reservation at this hotel, it is not a fact that you will check in!!!
But then we got lucky and found a much better option.

The hotel is the Higos Hotel. The exterior is decent, but inside… The entrance to the hotel is from asphalt over stones for about a kilometer, parking is spontaneous, unguarded, in front of the hotel gate. Garbage and dirt in the parking lot don't really bother anyone. The rooms are similar to the photos from the hotel's website, only if you look closely, they are all shabby, with cracks on the walls, with a flooded ceiling, with tiles coming off and shelves in the bathroom. Humidity and, accordingly, the smell is persistent… To open the window in your absence for ventilation, it is somehow unsafe on the ground floor of the room, people go to the pool right under the windows. And it's difficult to sleep at night with the window open, something is buzzing constantly without turning off. From 8 to 20 o'clock, music is playing near the pool, so you will wake up in the morning to the bass, and in the afternoon the child will sleep if he falls asleep. The room has air conditioning, an unwashed refrigerator, a TV with a set-top box. Huge beds with stone mattresses. After the first night on it, the back does not bend. There is a lot of light in the room, several modes and levels. Towels are provided for both hotel use and separate beach towels, along with bedding and umbrellas. Rooms are cleaned every day. The territory of the hotel is small, the children's corner is very small, there are swings, a slide and a plastic carousel. There is a heated pool, it is cleaned, but insects are still floating and the sides of the pool are covered with greenery.
A separate topic is the service in the dining room, we can say that there is none. The waiters are like muddy horses running from table to table, forgetting about everything. To order dinner, you need to remind yourself several times by asking several times if you catch a waitress if the ordered dishes are being prepared. Tea and coffee are not freely available, except for breakfast, but there is a kettle and water in the room.
Bottom line: The price for accommodation with food (breakfasts) in this hotel is greatly inflated, 2-3 times so. Dirty, unformed beach, snakes in the parking lot, near the river and even on the beach. Mediocre service. I was led by the reviews on booking when booking a hotel, in fact it turned out to be much worse, I was very upset that I spent my vacation spending it in this place. I will not go to this hotel a second time for anything.
