Overall, we really enjoyed our vacation in Sri Lanka, and in many ways its well-being is the merit of this hotel! We have read and heard all sorts of things that can be encountered on the island, but no difficulties or difficulties have touched us in this hotel!
Now a little more useful details:
The location of the hotel is quite good. It's not the first line, but it's a short walk to the beach, about 10 minutes. At the same time, it is located not on the main street, but, let's say, in an alley, which eliminates the hustle and bustle.
The staff is very friendly, everyone is trying, you can feel it. They speak English, and you can use a translator on your phone.
The hotel is small in scale.
The entrance is closed by default (not a passageway), and visitors enter through an electronic lock and a card. Accordingly, there is no need to worry about the safety of property. There is a safe in the room, at no extra charge, with a combination lock.
The renovation is fresh, in bright colors, quite pleasant.
There are some inaccuracies in the repair, but this is a small thing.
The interior concept is such that it is bright, spacious, high ceilings and practically unfurnished. There are no cupboards. The function of furniture is performed by the structural elements of the walls (something like shelves, countertops).
This also applies to the bed - and this is a huge plus! That is, the bed is kind of made of stone, on which lies a mattress (quite good). Accordingly, the bed is stable, does not creak at all!)
The only thing is the corners of the bed - you have to be careful with them. Because it's white, like the whole interior, sometimes you don't see it, and you hit the corners. After a few times, a reflex is developed to be more careful with this)
The walls, by the way, are made of brick (or something like that), in general, you can't hear any sounds from the neighboring rooms.
Such walls and a bed are the big advantages of this hotel, in my opinion.
Sockets are adapted. They calmly turned on both chargers and a laptop. No firebrands with adapters were needed.
We had a suitable table in our room for a laptop. There was also a chair. As a result, I had a more or less normal workplace.
The electricity on the island is not particularly stable, but the hotel has its own generator. Therefore, we had no problems with electricity, as well as with water. Once, due to a power switch, the power supply of the wi-fi router burned out. The owners solved the problem literally within 30 minutes, came with an electrician, did everything.
There is a balcony, there is a folding clothes dryer. View of the courtyard (where there's not much to see, actually).
The air conditioner does a great job of cooling, plus there is a fan on the ceiling (we didn't use it).
There is also a kettle, and tea and coffee are served (which we didn't drink much in the room).
There are towels both in the room (changed every 3 days, it seems), and beach towels can be taken in the lobby. But there are no bathrobes provided.
Previously, after reading about Sri Lanka before the trip, we took with us mosquito fumigators, etc.)) But they never came in handy at all. There are few mosquitoes here and they are small. We have a lot more of them in Russia (in the Southern Urals). Just in case, we closed the balcony door at night, they said so when we checked in. Of the insects here, we encountered ants who are very fond of fruits) At one point, there were a lot of them, and the janitor did something, probably then they were gone.
There is a small refrigerator in the room.
As for food, we had breakfast included. The buffet. The choice of dishes is quite small, but we had enough, in principle, to refresh ourselves in the morning. Vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes), eggs (cooked in different ways), sausages (not tried), toasts, fruits (pineapple, popeye, banana) and very tasty cupcakes. There was also porridge, but with milk, we don't eat that)
A swimming pool is planned in the courtyard, but it will be about 3 years later, most likely, the hostess said so. So far, there's just flat ground, even without grass. Maybe it would be worth planting a lawn for now.
Overall, I repeat, we were satisfied with the hotel. Excellent price-quality ratio!
I had a rest in Heaven in late March-early April. A very comfortable, cozy hotel. Large rooms of 30 meters, high ceilings, spacious bathroom, everything is in the room: safe, hairdryer, shampoo, body lotion, soft towels. They cleaned every day. I left tips and even had my clothes washed))) although I didn't ask..)
It's 15 minutes to the beach, I timed it. The breakfasts are not very good, there is a cafe nearby with Buckwheat cheese cakes and good coffee and a restaurant Moments, Russian owners, I recommend having breakfast there.
