The Cactus Garden in Yarkon Park is a real oasis of exoticism in the middle of the city. There are more than 3,700 species of cacti from all over the world, from tiny "balls" to giant spiny giants. Especially impressed:
Astrophytums — cacti-stars with fluffy ribs.
Pink gymnocalciums are incredibly bright, as if they are not real.
Lophophora are smooth, without spines, similar to pumpkins.
It's very quiet here, sparsely populated (especially on weekdays before 2:30 p.m.), and feels like a desert.
It's hard to walk in the heat, so take water and a hat.
Take a look at the nearby Rock Garden — there are no less impressive landscapes. And if you are traveling with children, there are other activities in Yarkon Park: lakes, playgrounds, boating.
