A wonderful place, located right on the beach, gorgeous view, delicious food, helpful staff, vacationed there several times with my family. The center of Mount Athos, a cafe in the park, all the sights of Mount Athos nearby. The beach is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, and there is a cafe on the shore. I want to leave a review about this hotel
My family and I have been vacationing only here for 10 years. We are very satisfied! The rooms are spacious, cozy, equipped with everything necessary for relaxation, the sea is within walking distance, about 50 meters. There is a cafe on site where you will be greeted by polite waiters who will always prepare everything at your discretion. The main advantage of the Leon Hotel (1 Lakoba Street) is the beach across the street. For whom it is important, there is Parking. Almost under the windows. The sign "Grand Hotel Leon" was removed, and not in vain. The building is old wooden. On the right there is an unfinished building, on the left the construction of another hotel is being completed. The area around the Leon is not equipped, it is a passageway. No benches, no gazebos, no flower beds, no garden decor. There is a barbecue under the windows at the back. All the guests are forced to enjoy the smoke and the smell of barbecue. The seaside park is visible through the mesh fence. The type of rooms on the website is declared as a Suite. Inside they are finished with clapboard. The room had a double bed with an old spring mattress, worn-out bed linen, 2 bedside tables, 2 chairs, an entrance hall section, air conditioning, a small refrigerator, a TV. There is a floor dryer on the balcony of the second floor. There is no balcony or veranda on the ground floor. There is a common rope for drying clothes. Now about the hotel service. When booking a room, we did not pay attention to the fact that all services are on request. During the 5 days of our stay, the room was never cleaned, the trash was not taken out, towels and bed linen were not changed. For a couple of days, the pipes in the toilet were buzzing so much that, as we decided, the toilet drain was turned off so as not to disturb the guests. It turned out that only
we were turned off. I had to use bottles. The owners were not seen. We communicated only with workers from Central Asia, for whom the most important thing is to pay on time. When we said that we were moving to another hotel, they were unpleasantly surprised and not happy. There is a cafe on site.

The hotel is located in the very center of Mount Athos, three minutes from the sea, opposite the hotel there is an embankment with a walking area. A beautiful park is within walking distance. Close location to all the sights of Mount Athos. A large selection of cafes next to the hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. We stayed with the company several times in this hotel - the main advantage is the convenient location.

One of the few hotels in New Athos that has rooms on the first line (exit from the room directly to the beach "Summer" with a bar). The hotel restaurant pleased both with traditional cuisine with real Abkhazian apatkha, hearth, and the best khachapuri in the city, as well as the usual European and Russian cuisine with borscht and dumplings for us). The territory is adjacent to a city park with picturesque palm trees, beautiful canals, bridges and ponds with swans. I really enjoyed the rest. If it weren't for the coolest sights within walking distance, then you don't have to leave the guest complex😎

An amazing hotel 10 out of 10 - that's for sure! The rooms are like in the photo and even better. A small hotel in the city center (first line). Cool location. There is a private parking. We stayed in a room with sea view . The room is very clean and cozy. The sea is within walking distance with a comfortable beach. There is a cafe on site (the menu is national and European).There is also a bus stop near the hotel, from which you can get to anywhere in the city and beyond.There is a well-equipped park nearby. Special thanks to the hosts for their responsiveness and good-natured welcome!

We were vacationing with friends in the fall of 2023. I liked the hotel because it is located in the very center of New Athos. The sights are within walking distance. There is a wonderful cafe on site, where the food is very tasty. In 2020, an episode from the TV series "Tenderness" with Victoria Isakova was filmed here. The sea is across the street. What else is needed for happiness?)

I want to leave a review about the hotel. The rooms are clean. Of course, there is audibility between the numbers. But. All day long, everything is at sea. Towels and bed linen are changed every 5 days or on request. The bathroom is clean. There are no foreign smells. There is a hair dryer. The room has a mini fridge, air conditioning, TV. The rooms are spacious. There is a utility room at the hotel. Everything will help, tell, bring... There is a cafe nearby. It's expensive, but delicious. Everything is fresh. Those who wish can search for food outlets a little further. And the prices of housing compared to other hotels near the sea and even in the city center are very satisfactory. To sum up: I highly recommend it. The staff is helpful. It's clear! The beach is 20 steps away.

In autumn- no! Not great at all, but why? And, because: the rooms are not tidied up and the smell is notable from this, the air conditioner is turned on for heating, which does not let you sleep from the word at all, (the hum of the mat cannot be conveyed), the spring mattress is sagged and needs to be replaced, the garbage from the toilet bucket was not taken out before us and the floor was not washed, the braid from the hair of the former vacationers was woven.

We have been familiar with this hospitable hotel since 2016. And if we visit Abkhazia, then our family and friends always have a place to stay in New Athos for a week! Cons:
-No noise insulation, rented 3 rooms, talked with closed doors
- very worn out condition of the furniture and the rooms themselves
- there is a construction site in front of the entrance, noise all day long
- there is only 1 bench at the entrance in the entire territory, there is nowhere to sit

We rested in a house on the shore. The only advantage is the proximity of the sea.There is no sound insulation, ants, cockroaches, protruding springs and intestines at all.😭 Be prepared for the fact that you will have snoring on your right, stomping on top as if elephants were going to drink, and farting or yelling on your left..😩
