The hotel is amazing! We had a vacation in 2020. The restaurant served all the tropical fruits and freshly squeezed juices in decanters. Mango fruits, pineapples, papaya, watermelons and many other things I can not remember. The beach has a wide coastline, you walk along the shore and there is no edge. No fences or slabs like in other countries. Birds are trilling softly, calibrations, butterflies are flying in mango thickets. Simply a paradise, Cuba is an incredible adventure in the footsteps of Columbus! Take excursions, do not stay in hotels, feel the whole spirit of Cuba, Havana, Matanzas and take a private Yacht for 4 people. I guarantee that emotions will go off the scale from seeing live lobster fishing by a diver, and then he will cook them on a yacht, then he will take you to the dolphins.

I found the time to write a review. I stayed at this hotel for 15 days in October 2024. The ocean and excursions are a complete delight. The hotel is the most disgusting in the history of traveling to different countries. The plates in the dining room were always dirty, and I had to carry wet wipes to wipe them. The food is cooked disgustingly - like for pigs. She was poisoned twice. The towels in the room were never changed, I had to wash myself, and if I asked to change the towel, they gave me one small towel for my face. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Any disadvantages; flight 14 hours, customs work in Varadero, hotel work, room, meals, animation for children, staff. The OCEAN compensates for a clean, warm, calm day and night BUZZ. Excursions by the Sea, to Havana, to the Caribbean, to Varadero, crocodile farm, hummingbird house are just FIRE. Diving, snorkeling, feeding fish in the ocean cannot convey the fullness of the pleasure of the rest. Lobster is very tasty at LA GRUTA DEL VINO. Friendly people who remained in the USSR

This is the second time we have been to this hotel. Everything has changed dramatically for the worse in five years. The rooms were already not very good, they got even worse. You can open the door to the balcony and the closet if you're an athlete, but no ordinary person can. The hair dryer runs for 30 seconds, then cools down. But these are all small things. I had to run two or three times a day to magnetize the lock card, and this request didn't bother anyone, they didn't care. The food is for three, at most, if you want meat, you have to stand in line for 20-30 minutes, there is no seafood at all. Fruits are also not very good, they look more like fodder, again why, if they sell very tasty on the market. It means they are carrying the cheapest, therefore they are not tasty. The beach is not cleaned at all, everything that was thrown out of the sea has been lying for weeks. Remove one person for half a day of work. The shower cans by the beach are also full of trash, They are 100 years old, probably handed over to the Soviet Union. The staff seems to be forced to work, they simply do not respond to requests, or they want the hotel owner to earn less, so they do everything to make customers unhappy. If Cuba is famous for its rum, why does rum in a hotel taste like swill? Saving money? Good drinks are only on the bar, but they can't pour them, they don't talk. There are no lobsters, they say Japan has bought everything. The good rum is all for export. Oh the Cube.

A great hotel for Cuba. It meets all expectations and fully meets the price tag. The pool bar is the best bar. It is better to have dinner in restaurants, make an appointment in advance. But also in the main buffet there is a good selection of quite familiar products: potatoes, chicken, pork, some vegetables.
The service is acceptable, and with a tip, it's quite good.
The staff is always smiling.
The ocean is some kind of magic.
There is an opportunity to go to Varadero: there is a bus stop in front of the hotel for $5

We were from the end of December to the beginning of January. I'll start with the best. Just a beautiful ocean and the sun. It must be understood that you are coming here solely for your health, especially since it takes 14 hours to fly from Moscow. There is also a fairly large and well-maintained territory near the hotel. Pleasant and good-natured staff. I would have put 4 points, closing my eyes to all the disadvantages, but unfortunately I couldn't. T k was most annoyed by the attitude towards cleaning and cleanliness of the restaurant. The fact that all the furniture, as well as the rooms, are barely breathing properly and are being repaired due to what is there, everyone has already written about it. But the fact that it's elementary that you can't clean the floors in the room properly, it's certainly hard to understand. Despite the fact that I talked to the staff and gave money and everyone understood each other. But they seem to have their own understanding of purity. Of course, compared to other hotel guests, we were cleaned very well and even bath towels were brought to us, for example, some guests had only small hand towels))) I have heard more than once how scandals were arranged by guests on this topic . Also, the biggest annoyance was that when you come to a restaurant, it doesn't matter if it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. You take a clean plate in a special place to put your food in it.... And then the most terrible thing! The plates are terribly washed, you will have to sort between wet and poorly washed plates every time, and you also need to sniff the plates because they sometimes stink of dirty rags.... This ritual was incredibly annoying before each meal, and of course forks and knives had to be wiped with napkins again on their own. And of course, the guys cook for a weak three, I mean the chefs who stand on the grill both in the restaurant and on the street by an open fire. They just don't know how to fry, everything is constantly overcooked or burnt.
Another funny moment, when we just checked in, I decided to check the minibar, which had 2 bottles of water. The fact is that the protective rings on both bottles were damaged, and tap water was poured inside, fortunately I checked before I drank. Previously, we stayed at Iberostar, where, of course, it is a cut above in all respects, from food to cleaning and room condition.

Three stars is an honest maximum for this hotel. Laziness is a common character trait of Cubans. But there are hotels where the staff works at least four hours.
One of the advantages is the kitchen. The range of dishes is decent. Although, the plates are always greasy (they are not washed, just wiped).
The territory is large and beautiful. Entertainment at a minimum (even on New Year's Eve).
The beach is clean, the ocean is gorgeous! Take the deck chairs in advance. Smart-ass Canadians cover them with their towels in the morning.
Rooms. We initially had a superior (take it), otherwise you will have to pay a fair amount for changing the room to an adequate one.
There is a separate problem with towels and sheets. They are not changed. Even if you left a wet dirty towel on the floor and left thanks to the maid, you will get a maximum of a heart from this wet towel on the bed.
The cockroach was discovered only once in 7 days.
The trouble with hot water and the Internet.
We were pleased with the guys who knock down coconuts from palm trees on the territory. And then they chop them down, sell them to tourists for a dollar.
In general, the staff is cheerful, very fond of small gifts from Russia (chocolate, medicines, stockings, etc.) and remember if you give them something. They are happy and welcome at the meeting, it is pleasant.
Upon check-in, we handed over a bottle of Abrau-Durso champagne and a box of Inspiration chocolates at the reception. There was no limit to the administrator's happiness)))
In general, you can go to the hotel, there are many hotels nearby and much worse, although there are also fives.

The hotel is not bad, clean on site and in the rooms, large territory, entertainment every evening, polite staff, good bartenders, there was no theft.
Of the main disadvantages: monotonous tasteless food, dirty in the common dining room, plates are always poorly washed, a small selection of drinks and cocktails, old furniture in the rooms, smells damp (1st floors suffer mainly).

Nature is 5+, everything else is a solid two and the service and the room itself and especially the food. Even in India, the food is more pleasant than here. In general, this is typical for all hotels in Cuba, if you don't find fault too much, you can even relax, at least try to do it by drinking a lot of rum to forget the shortcomings of the hotel)

The first time in Cuba
Since 12/28. Flew to Russia, the flight was not delayed, they fed 2 times. The flight was difficult and long, there was a slight turbulence. We were taken to the hotel, where there was a queue and no one was in a hurry. They stood at the reception for 40-50 minutes.
For 180 EUR, they offered a better room, but anyway, it was immediately clear that there are no normal 5* hotels here, the same three in Egypt would be the same. There are many bars and they pour without problems. The buffet is not so plentiful, many dishes were repeated, and if you want meat from the heat of the heat, then 10-20 minutes in the queue is provided……
From the filling of the room there was: shampoo and shower gel. There were no slippers, bathrobes and other things!! There was no tea or coffee either!
There was a towel for the beach and one for the body.
The towels are dirty, the bed linen is dirty.
You have to get used to the fact that there will be queues everywhere!
Signing up for an a la carte restaurant is just a horror. You stand in line for an hour, they generally spit on the service and everything around!
Wi-Fi is terrible, it is constantly disconnected and often does not catch, it is useful to buy a SIM card without it, the Internet is very bad.
Excursions at bibleoglobus start from 130 EUR per person, which is not understandable, expensive and not explicable for what!!, since filling for such a price does not justify their cost.
There is no point in renting a car, they give 15 liters per day, and then it is expensive to buy gasoline, 1 liter is more than a dollar and then if you are lucky enough to buy it. The bus to Varadero and back to the hotel for the whole day costs 5 USD.
The room cleaning is just awful!
The towels were not changed, the bed was made, they did not give water (although they left an empty bottle on purpose) in general, they did not do anything at all!
At 10 o'clock I decided to visit the beach, there were no more sun beds available! This is something, there weren't even enough primitive sun beds for such a large hotel, the beach is small, and the toilet is far away and the bar is also hidden, so to speak.....
The beach is dirty, poorly cleaned, the sand is already covered in fallen leaves and algae, it is not cleaned.
MIR or UnionPay cards are accepted every other time, you can't guess whether it will pass or not.
In the bar, you can ask for normal alcohol for an additional fee of $ 1-2. The coffee is disgusting, and there's nothing to drink at all! It is better to take with you mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper and snacks (chips, crackers, cookies, seeds) because here they cost a hell of a lot and there is no choice ... cutlery is better than your own, the sink works very poorly in this hotel, often bring appliances that are dirty or poorly washed.
On the 6th day of rest, bed linen and towels were not changed, which means you need to contact the "service" in the Lobby of the main building, because when you ask the maids, they promise but in the end they do not.
I visited the a la carte Cuban cuisine restaurant:
The waiters do not understand Russian and it was unbearable to place an order. As a result, the food was brought, but in fact I could eat the same thing in the main restaurant.
I visited the a la carte Italian cuisine restaurant: the waiters here speak partially Russian, which can no longer but please.
It's more interesting here, there is pizza and tiramisu, as well as a selection of pastas.
Upon departure, I handed over my cards at 12:00 and gave my luggage to the luggage room for free, the bracelet was not taken away and we continued to use the services of the hotel.
With difficulty, we found a delicious rum, called Legendario (7 years old), if you have the opportunity, buy 2-3 bottles! You won't regret it (it's better to buy in Havana or on the beach).
The trip to Havana was disappointing! I only liked the old town! It's a very beautiful place. We took the Bibleoglobus from the Tour operator. Lunch and dinner are just terrible, I didn't like the guide, he told me everything very clumsily. I gave only 40 minutes to walk alone, which is very little……
And last but not least, I think if you provide a service, they should be of high quality and fast. By the way, it's not worth giving the same dollar or euro for a tip, the hotel is big, they just won't remember you, only the maid is enough, they don't deserve it! Take the dollars!

We were there twice. In different years. The location of the norms. The beach is not bad. Cocktails tasted better last year. This is where they save money. There were no eggs in 24g in January for two weeks not once. What is stable is that last year, this towel and bed are not changed DURING THE ENTIRE STAY!! Well, the toilet brush and fumitox should be taken regardless of the hotel)) It is better to go in the second half of May. There is no humidity and mosquitoes anymore. The doors from the rooms do not work, the cards are sometimes missed, then not, I had to run to the reception for the cards! If you do not ask to change towels, then they will not be changed, absolutely everyone does not care about it!! A chocolate bar and money will not save you, leave notes to the cleaners. The food is tasteless, the plates are greasy. The staff themselves are polite and cheerful, they all seem very nice. It is better to choose a hotel that has been renovated, rather than look at how many stars the hotel has. I do not recommend it)

The hotel is lovely.The staff is mostly friendly, the area is beautiful, the food is varied and delicious.
Among the disadvantages-in the restaurant, the elderly ladies at the distribution and one young girl behaved dislikfully towards the Russians, showing disdain, they were greedy for food (even for a child), although we never take much (there is definitely a culture in food with us), and the Cubans and Spaniards, on the contrary, were served full plates with us (although this the amount of food is unrealistic to eat, in my opinion😬)-I regarded it as discrimination, which is shameful!🤢 The young waiters are extremely courteous and courteous-make way for the young
A sweater and a hair clip (crab) were seized from my daughter in the room, they were definitely in the room and disappeared one day, lying in the same place..It's a shame, considering also that we always left tips for the cleaning lady, sweets and nice gifts..of course, I attribute this to poverty, lack of education and the envious nature of the thief..but still, I really hope that the hotel administration will hold a conversation with the staff about the inadmissibility of theft.
Personal things must remain personal!!
We will definitely return to Cuba, and we will think about the hotel again..

A pleasant place to relax and unwind. Sea, air, sun. The infrastructure is quite dead. But that's not why they're coming here. The Internet is strictly limited. The hotel itself is located at the end of a long spit. There are more than one checkpoint to overcome along the way. Therefore, it is unlikely that you will be able to enjoy communication with the locals. And here there is only nature, silence and the sound of the surf. I almost forgot, of course, everything is included, of course a transfer to/from the airport and 10-12 hours of grueling flight over the North Atlantic are guaranteed.

An old hotel where everything doesn't work. Moreover, there is so much of this that they have organized a special department with air conditioning, where a person sits all day, sometimes two, to whom you complain. And there is always a queue in this department. The air conditioner did not work at our entrance and leaked, it was repaired in our presence. Bed linen is not changed. They also stole the second towel (which also do not change once), received it with a huge scandal. In general, Cubans are not very efficient. Everyone we talked to had a lot of people not working in the room.
The food is not particularly varied, I took fish every day (it is always there), and they always roast chicken. Other meat may or may not be given. Thank God, in on. There was practically no sour food, as in other hotels, we never even got poisoned. It's a little dirty on the beach, no one cleans the sand. There is practically no entertainment. Compared to Turkey, especially. The only good thing is the sea. The guide advised you to settle in M-lia. In the photo, the food is festive - it happened only 1 time.In the bushes (sometimes) the gardener and the janitor did a small business: they plucked coconuts from palm trees, chopped them off with machetes and sold them for $1 to drink.There are few Russians -we all knew each other there (no more than 15 people). Swimming with fish costs $ 20 (from each), which is very cheap. We regretted that we did not swim again. All Russians bought cigarettes and dresses from sellers on the beach-it's fine, take it. There are NO shops (practically) and pharmacies in Cuba (there are, but far away): be sure to take all medicines with you. And don't fly to Cuba by Nordwind😱(read my review)

The hotel is more of a 4ka than a 5ka, which is a classic story for Cuba.
The rooms will do, the bed is comfortable, the rest is old, lived-in, we had a fairly clean one.
The food is monotonous, not everything is delicious.
The beach is nice, the ocean is beautiful, the sunbeds are hard.
It is unrealistic to enroll in Alaska, they did not find the person responsible for this, not once.

Cuba is simply not worth comparing with anything!!! The ocean impresses with its purity and incredible colors from light blue to almost purple, the sand is snow-white. There are practically no tourists, this, of course, does not please Cubans, but rest without fuss. The hotel is not bad, capricious tourists, of course, will not like it, but those who have "entered" the atmosphere of Cuba will like everything. In comparison with the neighboring hotels I know, this sanatorium with enhanced nutrition is quite good. The kitchen tries to squeeze everything possible out of the available products in the off-season. In general, if you know the Cuban specifics, it inspires respect, if you don't know, it's better to go to the Dominican Republic)
The territory is very well maintained and clean, public places are cleaned constantly, rooms are lightly cleaned and towels are changed daily. The Internet is conditional, but unlimited and throughout the territory.

Never set foot in Cuba again. Food and drinks are only available in hotels, from where local workers steal everything. Otherwise, there is socialism in the country, everything looks sad, with the exception of the ocean, nature and the weather!
The hotel is without frills, according to travel agencies, everything is about the same in Cuba, there are more interesting options, but the cost is 2 or more times higher.
