I recently visited the four-star Grand Beach Hotel with my mom and was absolutely delighted with my stay. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the impressive lobby: spacious, with a refined interior and a cozy atmosphere. The reception staff was incredibly polite and prompt, which set a positive mood for the entire stay.
The number I was given was beyond praise. The elegant furniture, thoughtful design and incredibly comfortable bed created a feeling of real luxury. The rooms were cleaned daily, and I always returned to the spotlessly clean space.
The breakfasts at the hotel were amazing. The wide selection of dishes, ranging from fresh fruits and pastries to hot appetizers and local delicacies, did not leave anyone indifferent. I was especially pleased with the availability of various types of coffee and tea, which I liked as a lover of morning rituals.
The hotel also has an excellent relaxation area – a swimming pool with comfortable sun loungers and a bar where you can enjoy an open-air cocktail. The surroundings of the hotel were quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxing after a busy day.
One of the most vivid memories was the service. The staff was always there to help and wish you a good day. Small details such as compliments from the hotel and the sincere smiles of the staff made my stay special.
To be honest, I was surprised that this hotel has only four stars. In my opinion, the quality of service, amenities and overall experience of the stay correspond to the five-star level. This place has become an ideal oasis of comfort and coziness for me, and I would love to come back here again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates high standards.)
Good day!
We stayed at the Grand Beach Hotel in early March 2025. I liked everything .a hotel for a quiet , relaxing holiday . It takes 1.5 - 2 hours on the road from COLOMBO.View rooms and ocean noise are always with you.Stunning sunsets .we had a room on the ground floor with access to the pool. The rooms on the second floor are larger and have a private bathroom and a shower stall. There is only a shower room on the first floor. There is a kettle and refrigerator, a set of tea, coffee, sugar. We were greeted with fresh food upon arrival .The safe wasn 't working , and it was fixed right away .the staff is very good. YES, the flower in the photo was twisted by a hotel employee from a palm leaf :), it's beautiful. .It 's a bit boring in the evenings . There was live music in the restaurant for only 2 days and then when the locals arrived.but you can take a tuk-tuk ride to the nearest restaurants (2-3 km).The ocean is always full of waves. The hotel was clean , and I wanted more cleaning behind the fence . The beach is municipal, but it's in front of your hotel. Monitor lizards , chipmunks , and various birds were seen on the territory. It feels like you're somewhere in a nature reserve .There are also a lot of dogs outside the territory, they are good-natured , they just want to eat .They fed me, of course. There was a smart dog named Ryzhulya, who was loved by everyone and played with the children and jumped on the waves. The food at the hotel is good.breakfast is always porridge, cereal, lots of fruits (mango, bananas, papaya, apples)watermelon is not very tasty.fresh bread , sausages, eggs, fried pineapples, etc .dinner was soups, as well as lots of fruits, various fish, squid, shrimp, grilled meat, chicken in sweet and sour sauce, etc. we had breakfast and dinner and it was enough for us.afternoon tea from 4 to 5 for everyone, fresh donuts or fried bananas with syrup, very tasty and tea .coffee. There is no alcohol on site at all. There is a maga zin nearby at the exit from the hotel to the left before the first crossing, cross over and get to the main street for 5-10 minutes it looks like a stall behind bars, across the street.beer 500 rupees , rum 5700 rupees , wine 2700 rupees .Everyone advised to try red rum, they took it as a gift. There will be a cafe called Tamara's on the way. It's not big, but the prices are good and the seafood is fresh. When going to the beach, the locals will constantly offer excursions and other things.I won't name names, they're all brothers there)). They took a tuk tuk for 500 rupees and took us to the pharmacy to buy fruits .I 'll write right away and they 'll take you to a place where they have their own percentage .They asked for cosmetics , brought them to the auverdique garden , and got a complete divorce .There are also shops where there are no prices and they call you, they look at how you react.Be careful! Fruits and creams can be bought at the supermarket at the exit from the hotel, turn right at the first crossing, go to the main street and walk another 15 minutes to the right. You can also get creams as a gift from a regular pharmacy. These are simple cosmetics of aloe, turmeric, sandalwood and others. They are trying to sell coconut oil for fabulous money. We bought a small bottle at the supermarket for 300 rupees.the auverdique pharmacy offered for 3,900 rupees .On the one hand, the locals are all smiling and always ready to help, but on the other hand, everyone wants to get more money from you and it 's not pleasant . I understand everyone wants to make money, but you don't do it so brazenly.
