We were in Batumi and went to this restaurant for lunch. Excellent spacious room. The food is served quickly enough. Well, Georgian cuisine is certainly beyond praise. I tried a Georgian salad for the first time in my life, it seemed to me that I had never eaten a salad more delicious in my life, although in general it seems like ordinary cucumbers and tomatoes, but the nut dressing is something. All the other dishes were great too.
The waiter was very friendly and helpful.

The cuisine - the main dishes are good, but the "tourist set" is worse than that of the neighbors. I didn't like Khinkali and khachapuri at all, it felt like store-bought semi-finished products and cheap margarine cheese.
The cocktails are normal, the wine is delicious, the beer has not been tasted.
In the evenings, live music sings, the male singer sings coolly, although the repertoire is about the same every day.
Try not to sit outside, there are cockroaches running all over the facade, just like in Asia)

Over the last two vacations (2023 and 2024), we had lunch and dinner at this restaurant about 10 times. Always excellent service and food. Georgian traditional dishes and wine are highly appreciated! Here are some of the most delicious khinkali and the most appetizing khachapuri in Batumi. Ajapsandali and fried potatoes - you can lick your fingers, moreover, without an insane amount of oil, as it often happens. In 2024, chic Kindzmarauli and Saperavi were served. The waiters are friendly, tolerant, with good humor, most of them know Russian. A couple of times we saw a waiter who knows sign language on shift. And once we arrived 5 minutes before the kitchen closed. We thought they wouldn't let us in. But no! The wonderful permanent manager went to meet us, allowed us to pass and found a place, warning us which dishes we would still have time to order. And they brought us everything - hot, fresh, delicious. There is also live music in the evenings on certain days.
The location is also very convenient - close to the beach, Alley of Heroes, Vox, Metrocity shopping center and the longest and most popular bus routes in the city. You can get there quickly from anywhere.

A wonderful restaurant, we are very glad that we found this place, excellent cuisine, we liked everything we ordered: salads, snacks, hot dishes-everything is delicious, fast, with its own twist. Another one of the best restaurants in Batumi, near which there are crowds and queues in the evenings. We were lucky, we found a table pretty quickly.

A good enough restaurant for a short distance from the Batumi embankment. There are always a lot of people, you have to wait until they are placed at the table. We waited for about 15 minutes. They cook quickly and tasty, but check the bill, they didn't bring us one dish (but it's for the best, because everyone was already full), but it was included in the bill. The account is only in Georgian, so I used the translator from the photo. I saw an extra dish, turned to the waiter, and was removed from the bill.

The best place in the area
We went to dinner here the whole vacation, the service is top-notch, all the food is sooo delicious and at reasonable prices, the waiters even pour alcohol into the glasses!
Be sure to try Adjarian khachapuri and the most delicious kalakuri in the world

Delicious, but very noisy. We went to this popular place on Sunday evening, we had to wait outside for 10 minutes - the hall is full. When we were finally escorted out, it turned out that it was very noisy inside - the guests were talking, and sometimes live music was playing, which, of course, was good, but it was getting louder and all the guests were starting to shout over it. We huddled in a far corner on the second floor, but even there we had to strain our ligaments and read lips. The food is for 5, the interior is pleasant, but because of the noise, the impressions are blurred.

They took Caesar, trout and potatoes in a rustic way. Caesar is big, big pieces of fillet, but the dressing killed everything, an obvious overkill with lemon.
The trout is OK, the potatoes are very fatty, I couldn't finish them.
You may ask, why order Caesar and drink tea in Georgia?
Well, if you are against it, then remove these items from the menu and do not offer them at all.

All the time that we were in Batumi, we had lunch or dinner here every day! That's because there is excellent Georgian cuisine here. Khinkali is amazing, shish kebab is super, khachapuri is very tasty. The prices are very reasonable compared to the nearest similar establishments. Believe me, we have bypassed almost all of them in this area of Batumi.
Separately, it should be noted the caring and polite attitude towards visitors. When you enter the establishment, you will be greeted by a pleasant receptionist as if you were his most important guest, whom he was really waiting for. In the evening, when all the tables are occupied, you will be asked to wait a little, but they will find an empty table in the shortest possible time.
Most of the waiters are very neat, attentive and quick. Even during the busiest working hours, you will be quickly served a menu, an order will be accepted, dirty dishes will be removed. The waiting time for the order will be 5-20 minutes, but the interior, atmosphere and musical accompaniment will brighten up the waiting time.
On our next visit to Batumi, we will definitely visit the Gourmet again, to whom we wish prosperity, expansion and excellent guests!

On the last day of rest, the Gourmet cafe was chosen as the place for lunch. The only restaurant in Georgia that we lost money with, despite the rating. There were 4 of us on vacation, so we tried quite a lot of dishes from the menu. To be honest, we did not understand why this institution is praised.
Among the advantages noted: good interior, polite staff. That's all.
Of the cons:
- Probably the most important disadvantage is the food. The wings were brought first unroasted, then re-baked, but several of them frankly smelled of rotten meat. We haven't seen this for a long time.
The rest of the food is not very tasty, it is clear that it is individual, so I will describe in more detail what exactly we did not like. Everything is very, very peppery (fettuccine with shrimp, beans, khinkali). Minced meat in hinkals and dumplings does not look like the usual one, as if offal was added there. Lemonade (mango-passion fruit was taken) for 26 lari tastes very similar to jupi, without any fruits, only with mint leaves.
- The high chair feels like there is one big enough restaurant for the whole, so we didn't have enough of it.
- The waiter forgot about the cocktail he ordered. And, to be honest, I got the impression that about one of the dishes (dumplings), because they were cooked for a very long time.
Another huge disadvantage of this institution is the manner of communication of the owner. We are not at all conflicted people, so about the wings with a smell, one of us approached the waiter with a plate and asked him to take it away (politely, correctly). The waiters decided to smell the wings, at that moment the owner of the establishment ran up and began to explain to us that you can't walk around the restaurant, that it's not accepted in Georgia. He argued with us about the staleness of the dish, in the end he said that he would remove it from the receipt, but for some reason he did not do it. The dish is not expensive at all (relative to others), but the emotional reaction of the owner confused us.
Now I've read the reviews, so this is not the first complaint against the owner, and it's not the first time he emotionally explains to us that we don't know how to behave.

While we lived in Batumi, we went to eat at this restaurant every day. The cuisine is delicious, real Georgian. We tried a lot: khinkali, awesome thin dough and juicy filling, "iakhni" - beef just melts in your mouth in nut sauce, lobio, ajapsandal, everything is insanely delicious. They drank white draught wine, too, very light, conducive to assimilation, the head does not hurt after it in the morning. Very attentive, smiling staff will advise you what to choose. And in the evening, after 19 o'clock, live music is beautifully sung by a couple of men and a woman.
