Hello, everyone.
We were at the performance "Handsome Man" in September 2023.
Tickets were ordered by phone and paid at the box office upon arrival at the theater.
The theater is small, atmospheric and cozy.
An excellent theater troupe.
A lot of young, talented guys work on a level with venerable masters of the stage.
We laughed and empathized, and waited with bated breath for the denouement of the storyline.
The theater invites directors from Moscow and St. Petersburg to stage performances.
In early October 2024, the theater toured Rostov-on-Don. We were pleased to attend the premiere of "Shepherd Mahaz".
A juicy, colorful, philosophical performance.
Rostov residents received the theater very warmly.
The applause did not stop.
I definitely recommend visiting and diversifying cultural holidays in the capital of Abkhazia.

The theater is located in the historical center - next to the Griffin fountains, in a historic building. A very good repertoire: they stage both plays by Russian playwrights and national ones. There are many young, talented actors in the troupe. I really liked the performances "Eugene Onegin", "Clinical case", "Shepherd Makhaz". The actors play with courage, very sincerely and enthusiastically.

The most vivid impressions from visiting the F. Iskander Theater. The creative atmosphere permeated everything here. We were at two performances and both shocked to the core. Shepherd Mahaz is a story - portrait of a simple shepherd who had 7 daughters and no sons. The story shows the Abkhazian character very well, with its characteristic simplicity and tolerance. The second Shakespeare play is The Windsor Pranksters. One of the best productions! The incendiary play of the actors, gorgeous scenery, sound, light and everything in the play delighted... I highly recommend visiting this theater to anyone who plans to visit Sukhum!

a wonderful theater, I try to visit it every time I come to Abkhazia. of the productions, I really liked "The Story of the mule of the old Habug" (it goes on a small stage, I would definitely advise travelers to better understand this land), "Bloody Wedding" (a very dramatic performance), "Handsome man". "Elektra" is difficult for me, but the actors are giving their best.
I would really like to see "Sofichka", "One hundred years of solitude" and "Joy in spite of everything".
A lot of attention is paid to the characters' images, the costumes and decorations are simply gorgeous.
the troupe is wonderful, I especially highlight Milan Lomia (well, she's just cosmically good), Kirill Shishkin, Osman Abukhba, and how Loida Tyrkba sings — 😻

A wonderful theater. The performances are all at the highest level. I buy tickets at the box office of the theater. You can pay with a card. You can choose a place for yourself, the cashier will always tell you. It's clean inside. Everything has been carefully repaired. I was also on the small stage. And the main one. The location is very convenient. The only thing is that productions based on the works of Abkhazian authors are not so common.
I recommend you to visit.

A wonderful theater! A diverse repertoire. It is located near the waterfront. There are a large number of restaurants, shops and places for walking nearby. We came specially from Gagra, we did not regret it. The staff were very polite and helped to call a taxi back.

Going to Sukhum, in advance, back in Siberia, I bought tickets to this theater, not yet knowing how extraordinary it is and what wonderful artists there are. We attended the performance "The Glass Menagerie", the staging and performance of the artists are incomparable. Thank you for all this and for the emotions we have experienced. 30.08.2024 we watched the play "Sofichka" based on the story by Fazil Iskander.
The performance is deep, restrained, after it you want to be silent, hold the light of the Sofichka in your soul.
Everything is in Sophie's life: a warm childhood, happy love, personal tragedy, and the common grief of war. But there is no loneliness. She is part of a large family, part of the clan, part of the people. His soul is in it.
The performance is a complete narrative, from which it is impossible to break away. This is an expressive picture of life, multifaceted and endless.
Many thanks and great respect to the authors of the play for the fact that there are no meaningless embellishments, unnecessary modernization of the text.
The audience gave a standing ovation. All at once and for a long time!
They left the theater with a sense of admiration and respect for the actors, literature and the people of Abkhazia.

Great theater and a great troupe! There are performances for every taste - both classics and modern drama. Genres are also widely represented, ranging from comedy to tragedy. Very strong productions due to excellent directors and decent acting. The productions based on Fazil Iskander, especially the play Sofichka, became a great discovery. Not a single passing performance during the entire visit! I recommend you to appreciate the magic of the performance and participation in what is happening on stage. Almost all performances cause an incredible emotional explosion. A young but very talented troupe!

We've been to two Iskander productions (I think it makes sense to watch this one).

This fall, I accidentally got into this theater and fell in love with it forever. It's been a long time since I've seen such a high level of professionalism in everything. It was worth coming to Sukhum on vacation even to watch the performances of this theater. A performance based on the work of Marquez"One hundred years of loneliness" lives in me to this day. Admiration, delight!!!! The feelings that this performance caused are difficult to convey in words! Bravo!

We were at the Sovichka play. That the classic Fazil Iskander himself, that the actors of the theater are more than just provincial people of art. That's probably why the hall was full, although it was already the end of September and not the most holiday season. It's good that we got to the dramatic production. The main cast of the troupe played. We will come back to Sukhum precisely in order to visit the theater.

I never thought that the theater in Abkhazia could be so cool and an example to many!
The theater itself is spacious and has a beautiful hall, stage, and overall looks great on its own.
I visited him in July 2023, when Ray Cooney's "Clinical Case" was being staged
A brilliant cast! We won the audience's favor and laughter quickly and deservedly! It was interesting and funny throughout the comedy. The warm applause of the audience confirmed my opinion. I didn't want to leave!

In the summer of 2022, during my vacation in Abkhazia, I managed to attend the play "Diary of an Adventurer" staged by this theater on its historical stage in Sukhum. I really liked the performance! Respect for the classics, preservation of meaning. laid down by A.N.Ostrovsky, the staged speech of the actors, the set design - all this left a very pleasant impression. And when the theater arrived in Moscow in April of this year, I managed to attend the play "Handsome Man". And I liked everything too.

Today (04/6.24) I was on tour of this wonderful theater in Moscow at the play "Handsome Man" by Ostrovsky. I went on the advice of my mother, who had already been to Sukhumi for other performances of this theater and was COMPLETELY DELIGHTED). I wanted to check if it was so good). Now I declare WITH FULL CONFIDENCE - SO!Although this is a sad enough comedy, the EMOTIONS remained the MOST POSITIVE! The MAGNIFICENT ACTORS are masters of their craft, they completely carried out the whole idea of the work and managed to keep interest and attention throughout the performance! And this is despite the minimal variety in the scenery and costumes and with a rather boring and understandable storyline of the whole play as a whole. In my opinion, it's a bit too much with the grotesque, but there's no arguing about tastes, as they say). It is definitely worth visiting the performances of this theater, both in Sukhum and in Moscow! Now I know what is worth visiting exactly when exploring Abkhazia). A MAGNIFICENT THEATER AND WONDERFUL ACTORS - COME TO MOSCOW MORE OFTEN AND CONTINUE TO DEVELOP, YOU ARE WONDERFUL!!!

I was a guest of the city and accidentally got to the play "The Visit of an old lady". I was pleasantly surprised. Some kind of magic happened. The amazing acting is so exciting that you already forget where you are, and you are completely captured by this whirlpool of feelings and thoughts!!! The Windsor Pranksters were at the performance on 07/04/2024. I liked it so much that I even decided to write a review. The acting, the costumes, the lights- everything was wonderful. Amazing theater!

Delight. We were at the performance on December 31, and it was our best New Year's idea) Wonderful actors, friendly atmosphere (it feels like there are a lot of regulars), friendly staff. Very comfortable chairs in the hall - thanks a lot to the person who designed them!

My son and I were at the F.Iskander Rusdram in Sukhum at the premiere of "Eugene Onegin". A very interesting variation of the classic. A lot of light and little scenery. Actually, only curtains in the background and a bench. Props – Lensky's guitar, pillow, clay jug and pistols. Integrated into spect and shadow theater. A couple of times very successfully. In general, the atmosphere is transmitted.
Evgeny, aka Emil Petrov, is very good. Especially good when in love with Tatiana. Onegin is so fatally dragging and going crazy. Tatiana herself (Loida Tyrkba) is also good in the final. But not too much as a girl. In general, Larina's purely Abkhazian sisters are very unusual))))

A wonderful performance was watched by F. Iskander "Sofichka". There were no indifferent people, the audience did not breathe, then cried. We went with our daughter for 12 years, we also cried. We managed to show the child the magic of the theater. Elegant people, a beautiful hall, a magnificent production, music, the actors' performance is incredible, the reaction of the audience, flowers to the actors.

We visited the family in May 2024, we were with children 9 and 11 years old, of course, they did not understand all the jokes and dialogues / monologues, but in general we did not get bored, we even remembered the characters. There were Windsor Pranksters at the premiere. The theater itself is small, but everything you need is there, a wardrobe, a foyer, a cafe, a toilet (very small booths) and you need to pay attention to cleaning. The prices in the cafe are inexpensive (for tourists). I didn't like that the performance was delayed for 30 minutes without explanations and apologies, so it started late. I liked the performance myself, the beginning was long and not quite clear, but then the plot captured and watched in one breath.

We watched "The Last of the Departed". Very emotional! The actor's acting is amazing! There was a full house. I definitely recommend Rusdram Sukhum to visit. We didn't regret for a second that we went to the play. On our next visit to Abkhazia, we will definitely watch some more of the productions.

It was raining in Sukhum on Monday, so we decided to spend the evening in Rusdram. Tickets were bought online. The sound is clearly audible, I don't know how at the end of the hall, we always take the stalls. We watched "Handsome Man" based on the work of A. Ostrovsky in modern directing.
