Those who travel around Belarus - of course, they must visit! A very beautiful forest, a wonderful nature museum and of course you need to visit the zoo! See live bison, bears, deer and many other animals! We were with a guide, so we could see almost everything, but we did not go to Santa Claus - we need to go there with younger children, our child has already grown up! )) Although we will definitely look in next time!

We decided to visit Santa Claus in the Forest for the New Year. In short, the place is very publicized and it is not worth the money.
I'll tell you in order. We left on Saturday at 19.13 on a bus from Vitebsk. At 9.40 a.m. we were in Brest. There was a choice of how to get from the railway station to the forest. There is a bus running according to the schedule, but the departure time is at 10:40 and we can't make it to the start of the performance in the forest. The bus ride is more than an hour.
Because there were a lot of us (7 people) We took a minivan taxi (100r one way) By the way, a taxi was waiting for us there for 4 hours.
Have arrived. We bought entrance tickets . 35 rubles for an adult and 20 rubles for a child under 14 years old. + We bought entrance tickets to the nature museum, which is another 20 rubles per person.
For 35 rubles, we were given a very tasty gingerbread as a gift and were guided through small locations in the estate of Santa Claus. The whole performance is very blurry, the roles of the actors are 5 minutes long. Santa Claus himself speaks for only 2 minutes and that's it.
There's an hour for everything, then there's another group.
Now about the food. There are 3 cafes on site. The prices are very affordable. The menu is delicious. The portions are not large, but there is enough to eat. I'll leave the prices on the menu in the photo.
The nature museum has pulled out everything, this place is really worth a visit.

A great place to relax. We rented bicycles for the whole day, went along the big bike route 27 km. Walking bikes, without switching speeds, are quite comfortable. The paths are paved, it's a pleasure to drive. Birds are singing, the sun, nature, it's easy to breathe. The forest changes from pine to deciduous, then swampy. There are signs and information boards everywhere about the inspection points. If you want to spend time in nature with health benefits, go there. After a walk, you can eat at the local cafe Lesnaya Skazka, it seems to be called that, tasty and inexpensive.

Aviaries are interesting. The museum is beautiful. Nature, etc. You can relax in silence.
There is really no place for adults or children to have a snack during the peak of the visit. People come with money - there is nowhere to spend it except for tickets. We carefully ate a sausage in a local catering test, and the child had nothing to offer. Restaurant, cafe, on special service, Pine trees are occupied. Only the cold tent is empty.
At 17:00 in the restaurant's fae, people are waiting for a table like in the USSR - ALMOST A THIEF IS NEEDED.
During the winter holidays, it is better to take food with you.
The rest of the time, everything is normal.

We lived in the hotel N4 on the territory of the reserve itself.
A big plus, upon check-in at the hotel, a delicious breakfast is included (sets to choose from) and a swimming pool, as well as visiting aviaries.
We went on excursions (sightseeing with a visit to the farm and to Santa Claus )
We walked around the enclosures, just didn't get out of them. The delight is incredible, you can see these beautiful animals, even pet someone, walk quietly, breathe the purest air. Bicycles and scooters are available for rent.

We rented a 2-bed room in hotel 1, cheaper than renting inside the Forest. The price of a 2-bed room (90p) includes a 15p breakfast, a swimming pool, entrance to the valliers and to the territory of the Forest, including on their bicycles - free of charge. The room has soft beds, clean towels, tea. There is a refrigerator. Always clean and cozy. Breakfast until 11 am, 3 options to choose from. There will be a lot of food. There is a shop next to the 1st building, just behind the wooden church. Those who are not full can replenish their stocks there, the assortment is not bad.
I usually go with an overnight stay, 1 night, always very satisfied

The bed is comfortable, the room itself is clean, but not a Suite. The furniture on the balcony is not for gatherings with a cup of tea and a book, an ordinary wooden chair. The shower is a separate song, for short and thin people, but it saves the pool with spacious showers :)
It's worth buying animal food when visiting aviaries, they are happy to help themselves, even the bison came to feast themselves.

Such is the zoo))) of course, it's a pity for the bird (the eagle is sitting in a small aviary and has nowhere to fly), but the rest of the animals seem to be happy with life. Bike rental works, we lived in the 2nd hotel and they cost us 15 rubles per day apiece. There are 4 routes, very convenient. It's sad with food on the weekend, a lot of people couldn't have lunch on Sunday, 3 establishments to the brim, but on Monday everything was super ;), in general, a cool place.

The Forest is simply amazing in size, trees, air, animals and birds. Take a bus tour (if you don't have much time)- they will take you around, show you the most iconic places and trees. One 600-year-old oak is worth something! If you have time and you like cycling, you can ride a bike along the tracks (but this is not my method). The parking lot is good, large. By the way, there are also hotels - both near the Thicket and on its territory.

Spacious enclosures for animals allow them to look much better than their relatives from standard zoos. I regret to find out for myself that there is no boar. On the downside, parking is extremely small for such a place, it is difficult to find a place and squeeze between the rows. On warm days, they hope to get to a Cafe for a snack - it's like pulling out a lucky ticket. When traveling to this reserve, you need to carefully familiarize yourself with the route. Otherwise, you can drive in from the wrong side (in my case twice) and either just admire the gate, or jump out to the border checkpoint)
