Excellent, budget, hotel in the city center.
Convenient location, there are many cafes nearby, a park right in front of the hotel, behind the hotel there is also an interesting park with busts of Lenin and other Soviet figures.
I recommend you to visit.
I often come to Semey for work and have visited several hotels, including the Semey Hotel. Now about the pros and cons:
From +:
1) Affordable price
2) location right in the city center
3) polite staff
4) cleanliness
5) the presence of wi-fi, although the speed leaves much to be desired. By the way, in almost all the hotels where I have been everywhere, the speed is not very high, so the presence of WiFi can not be set +, but I am kind))
5) there is a free breakfast when booking a room through booking))
Of the cons:
1) I stayed in March, and the room was cool, although they said it was warm. Or maybe I am like that))
2) everywhere, including the corridor, the floors creak, i.e. anyone who walks down the corridor can hear you
3) the renovation in the rooms is very old, in some places there are traces of mold that you are reluctant to pay attention to.
4) the bed is also very creaky, i.e. if a person likes to sleep comfortably, then he does not belong here. I lived in standard rooms and there were such beds everywhere. Maybe they are better in the suites..🤔
In general, it's like that.. draw your own conclusions)
Two advantages of the hotel are the administrator and parking in the courtyard. There is some kind of service station in the courtyard of the hotel, where they worked when they arrived at 22-00 and in the morning
when the masters left. The advantage of parking is that Karaoke works in front of the hotel until about 3-30, and so on all night and until the morning the movement of cars. Maybe the area there is so idle and entertaining, because at 4 a.m., some people were moving along the neighboring streets. I'll leave this question for later.
About the hotel. The hotel was probably built in Soviet times, but there are no signs of cosmetic repairs. There was a guard in the junior suite, he saved me from the stuffiness. But there is no kondey in the standard, and it's hard to imagine how to relax there in the stuffiness before the road. Maybe, as an option, wet the sheet and turn around, but the option is, let's say so to ourselves....
A very good place, for family and for recreation. I liked the room service, the people are gorgeous and excellent. The administration is brilliant. Comfort in everything!!!!!
Excellent rooms and cleanliness. A very nice man sat at the reception, got into a position, helped buy coffee at the vending machine, otherwise it was impossible to pay for cash there, and we did not have a card, we arrived in Kazakhstan for the first time
A clean room. Normal underwear. The room has a TV and Wi-Fi. One of the disadvantages is that the Windows overlook the avenue, and there is no air conditioning in the room. In summer, you sleep with the window open because of the heat, and it's noisy outside all night.
In principle, it's not bad. The only thing was that the neighbors were in the way, walking back and forth, and when they slammed their door, the door to my room was also shaking.
On the plus side, you can have a snack at affordable prices.
The staff was friendly, the room was clean. There is everything you need.
The hotel is not very honest. The building needs renovation. Cleanly, but not quite, there is still something to strive for. There are not enough appliances for living and comfort, which is why I give 2 stars. I do not recommend visiting. The price is not justified.
The hotel is in the very center, very convenient, the staff is good-natured, polite. The bed linen is clean, dry, there is a kettle. There is a dining room on the ground floor, the food is very tasty. There is an ironing room, which is also very convenient. I recommend.
A Soviet-era hotel. Requires repair. Just for an overnight stay or, as in our case, for a sports team, this is a fairly convenient and budget solution. Breakfasts and set lunches are not bad. They were not hungry. There was no cleaning in the room for two days.
A typical Soviet hotel, without frills. There are a lot of them in the regional centers. Cons - there are no conduits, from the word at all. Of the GREEDY advantages - it is not used as a ***, you can sleep peacefully, without moaning behind the wall. The rooms are not smoky, clean. The staff is friendly and sympathetic to the difficulties that await a Russian who arrives in the city in the evening: the problem with the exchange. There is always an input. Breakfast is for extra money, but quite decent. Only there is no baking, chocopai does not look like baursaki...
Budget option:clean, cheap and courteous staff .The cafe on the ground floor is open from 8.00 to 23.00. Breakfasts and dinners are inexpensive. Hot dishes are served. At home .
An old hotel, a terrible smell in the room, they don't give slippers, the room has a wooden floor. Everything is terribly old, the mattresses are bulging with springs.
The choice of hotels in Semey through booking is small, so I decided to orient myself on the spot. I didn't guess. The building of normal appearance with the proud inscription Semipalatinsk disappointed inside. Dirty rooms, terrible bed, holes in the linoleum, wallpaper. I didn't even have to dream about any air conditioner. And a dog barked through the open August window all night. It's not worth your money, I don't recommend stopping
A very old hotel keep this in mind, it is really old,hot water is supplied in the room on time the rest of the time there is no hot water, the rooms do not match the description, for some reason there is always a bad smell in the corridor, there are no slippers in the rooms, and in this regard, the reception sells disposable slippers, although slippers and bath robes should the room price is included, a separate payment is also made for the maid to clean the room and change the bed linen, there is no phone in the room to contact the reception.
At one time there was a good hotel, the restaurant was good, but then it was bought out and everything went wrong somehow. There used to be a lot of people there, but now you go and look at the night sky, the windows are not lit and there are no people. We went for a walk in the restaurant now, I think no one goes there.
It's not a bad hotel, but it's inferior to the new ones in comfort. There is a parking lot. Breakfast can be ordered in the morning. Some of the furniture and equipment remained from the Soviet era. The rooms are clean.
Guys, make repairs. It was in the summer, the air conditioner barely pulls, there was no hot water, they were boiling, the atmosphere was 99 years old) but in general it was atmospheric, as I returned to my childhood, like the mosquito nets on the windows.
If you just spend the night, that's it.Comfort, only that the sunny side and not cold therefore. The TV shows stripes on all channels, there is no sound insulation on the walls.I do not recommend it with children))For breakfast, there are 6 options. There are no complaints. And so what else did we want from the Soviet hotel!
A 3-star classic, it's great to spend the night on a trip! It creaks and drips in the best traditions!

They say there are a lot of hotels in this city with lower prices. But there is no one that is more conveniently located than this one. I have been staying here for about 10 years, if necessary. Always clean and tidy. There are adequate people at the reception, very friendly.
The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. But the building needs renovation, the furniture is old, springs are sticking out of the mattresses, locks are broken, air conditioners are not in all rooms.
The Council of Ministers. It's a terrible hotel. The conditions are disgusting. The smell is terrible, the towels are gray. There are no air conditioners. Breakfasts are like in Soviet times. My colleague was poisoned on the very first day. In general, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT...
Of course, there is nothing left of the hotel, mostly business. Of those whom I know as good pros, this is the appraisal company on the second floor and the girl is given a manicure / pedicure.
The rating is higher for the convenient location. There are shops nearby, and a park. The rooms themselves are a return to the Soviet past, but clean, with amenities and at an affordable price.
I'm terrible as I used to be in the USSR
There is no hot water. The smell in the room is something you can't breathe..And there's food in the canteen, I don't even want to say anything. Whoever was there knows...
The Soviet Union through the eyes of foreign guests. As it was in the distant nineties, it remains so. Plus, you can't hear the neighbors, and so-a scoop with a scoop.
A very old but cozy hotel. The administration is from the old Soviet times, but for people from that time it is quite normal. Only here the music from the nearest cafes plays until nightfall, but in principle the walls are thick and good insulation. Breakfast is also modest, but nutritious and reliable)
