Interesting place. During the Soviet era it was a gorgeous hotel probably, but now it looks really outdated. Old rooms, doors, halls. However, the location itself isn't bad. Almaty is known for not quite good quality of air but this part of the city is good and close to Medeo and Chimbulak ski resort.

Excellent hotel, very welcoming, we had a wonderful stay. Staff is highly efficient and proactive. The room was good and comfortable, moreover, the housekeeping staff was also efficient. The buffet breakfast had various options and was very good.

Central place, interesting building, rooms old and used 1000 of times, bad WLAN , but very good breakfast and excellent cafe in ground floor.
