I have rested here many times. My sister and I really like it. The pool is gorgeous! The sea is nearby, there is no fuss and noise! Tatiana is a very friendly and caring hostess. And in general, the atmosphere is homely, it's kind of nice. Like grandma's in the village) We cooked mostly by ourselves. But the cafe also makes delicious food. Said makes a great pilaf. It's a long way from the park and the center of all entertainment. 15 minutes of unfunny steps. If we were too lazy to walk, we asked them to call us a taxi. This is my favorite vacation spot in Abkhazia!

We have been in Tarusa for 2 times already. The cafe is great, the food is delicious. The pools are both clean, it's nice to swim. The friendly staff will always help, answer all questions. The territory is well maintained, the tangerine garden is incomparable.
I didn't like the beach, and it takes 2 minutes to walk to it, but it's beautiful. But here the owners of the house are not to blame. Personally, we went to the center to the beach, it's cozy, clean and there is entertainment.
I recommend the guest house, I really liked it. Thanks!

We had a rest in April 2024, wonderful conditions were created for recreation, cozy rooms, everything you need, a dining room where breakfast, lunch and dinner are delicious and varied to choose from, lots of parking spaces on site, a summer kitchen with necessary utensils, a fabulous pool with warm water and an invigorating saltwater pool and of course the same hospitable staff, the garden, the sea are all nearby!

Everything is very bad! There's only one thing I can't understand, it's either hyped reviews, or really people don't care what conditions they live in. We came to rest at this guest house in August 2024. If, of course, it can be called a vacation. We took a 4-bed suite for 6500 per day. We were disappointed right away. The number was allocated completely inconsistent with the description either on the website or by phone. It is difficult to call this pantry a number.
The furniture is all old, wooden bed and metal beds. The room is packed in trash, the walls are cracked, streaks and mold, the plaster is falling off, it is painted in pieces, there are just no words...Only emotions! The staff from Uzbekistan does not solve anything at all, all questions are sent to the administrator, with whom you can communicate only online. The money is not refunded, the other number is not provided. Overall, the room looked like a barn. I regretted it in general, there is something to compare it with, I do not recommend this nightgown!
And you call it a service at home!!! After such an attitude and service, I don't think anyone else will want to come back to you. You are not interested in your customers so that they become permanent with you. I'm not going anywhere near you anymore. Elementary cheating and deception!!! We have been to Abkhazia many times, in all seasons, it is beautiful! We try to stay in different places every time, and once a local security guard in New Athos advised us to Tarusa guest house, we were in autumn, out of season, and there were empty rooms, because during the holidays and the summer season everything is in order, you need to book in advance. We were received by the hostess Tatiana, a very nice woman, not intrusive, but because everything is interesting to us, we came to coffee, on the territory, she was there, we started asking around, we chatted at dinner, Tatiana told us a lot of interesting things about Abkhazia, about the russians, she and her husband and then another As a child, they moved to Abkhazia from Krasnodar. Their cafe is very tasty, cozy, clean, homely atmosphere. The territory is gorgeous, tangerine garden, 2 swimming pools, there is a summer kitchen, barbecue, beach as soon as you leave the territory, there is a sauna, and one more important point, there are cameras throughout the territory, the gate is locked, and the owner of the house, Tatiana's husband, Ruslan, looks after everything, you understand where the name Tarusa comes from). If you arrived by car, sleep well, everything is under control. The center of New Athos can be reached on foot. We really liked it, we returned to Tarusa 2 more times, but once we arrived on New Year's Eve, unfortunately, there were no free places, we did not book in advance. I advise everyone to visit Abkhazia at least once at the Tarusa guest house. ❤

THANKS FOR THE REST TO TATIANA, SAID AND THE TARUSA STAFF. The dining room is clean, stylish, beautifully decorated. The girls cook very well. Special thanks to Said for the incomparable pilaf and shurpa on the campfire, lagman, kebabs and trout. The pools are cool too. One with fresh water, the other with sea water. After dinner, take a dip in the pool, swim and sit near it at a table with a glass of red, breathe the sea air and look at the sea. What else is needed? Through a small tangerine garden you can go to the sea. It is better, of course, to walk a little further, about the second breakwater. It's a little better and cleaner there. Or you can go to the White Beach. About 20 minutes on foot. There are pebbles and it is equipped. We were in Tarusa for the first time. We will definitely come again.

I love Tarusa. It's not the first time I've been here. Of course, it may require repair, but there have never been any complaints about the cleanliness of bed linen and towels. We are all waiting for the opening of the new building, which is being built nearby and I think it will meet everyone's expectations. And at the moment, for me, this is the best place in Abkhazia, where I always want to return. Special thanks to the girls in the kitchen. Everything is always delicious.

We had a rest in September 2024. Not bad. Against the background of positive reviews, I want to draw attention to some details that cannot be overlooked, and this is not criticism, but facts: the staff is indifferent to the guests, no one even greets the first, they smoke on the street right in overalls, towels in the room are not changed, cleaning once in three days. The cafe has delicious food, except for pancakes (boiled grated and toasted potatoes) and casseroles (baked semolina porridge with cottage cheese inclusions). The wine is very tasty. The cafe staff looks unpresentable, the young man's underwear is visible from under the sliding sweatpants. There are drunken noisy companies in the summer kitchen. It seemed that time stood still in this cozy corner and was in no hurry to move forward. It's great to be here in nostalgia for the bygone Soviet era. But for the expensive cost of living, you want an increased level of service.

An amazing place to stay away from civilization!!! The sea is nearby, a garden with orange trees, the territory is large and guarded. We came at the end of March with a child - we walked, inhaled, there were few tourists. We walked to all the sights - the New Athos caves, the Anakopian fortress monastery.
Special thanks to Sveta and Tanya for the food - simple, homemade and very tasty! Tangerine juice is a bomb.

The hotel is cool, it's a pity that it's about 2 km away. from New Athos (this is not very convenient, you will have to stomp along the highway to the shops and the beach, and after 21:00 I do not recommend walking, local horsemen do not drive sober). We really liked the hotel, the rooms are good, there is a cafe on site, they cook just lick your fingers. There are 2 swimming pools on the territory, one with salt water and the second with fresh water, suitable for children.

We rested for 3 days in February 2023.Everything is simple, without frills and pomposity. On these dates, our company of 6 people were the only guests in the guest house and it was a pure thrill!!! Quiet, calm, delicious and freshly prepared food , budget prices.Just a bomb-proof outdoor swimming pool, , friendly staff(thanks Svetlana and Said for the warm welcome and warm attitude), oranges and tangerines straight from the tree! This is the most amazing place we've been. My husband and I were in 2012, without children, now we have two children, we sooo miss the place because Tatiana and Ruslan are sooooo hospitable people. We had a great rest, wherever we were, Ruslan always told us where to go. We miss them very much and would always like to return to this place, because it's cozy there!!!!

Hello Abkhazia! We had a vacation with a friend in Tarusa from May 8 to May 28, 2022. Super! I liked everything - the place is very beautiful, the view from our room is stunning - the sea, the mountains, the tangerine garden. Two outdoor pools. The hosts are very friendly - Tatiana and her assistant Said did everything to make us feel at home.The dining room, more like a cafe, is on the ground floor.The food is very tasty, the menu is varied. You order in the evening the next day. There is wine, chacha, delicious tangerine juice. We saw how the tangerines bloom. The beach is 3 minutes, it's a little dirty, but I think it will be better in the beach season. The train station is 3 minutes by car and 15 minutes on foot. The center, where the park and the New Athos Monastery are located, is still 20 minutes away. It's a fairy tale for children in general. Thank you very much for the rest!Two grandmothers.

Hi Tarusa. Abkhazia. We rested with my sister from 23 to 29 August 2022. Very beautiful place, amazing view. The tangerine grove, along which you walk to the sea, is simply pleasing. It is a 3-minute walk to the sea. There are two bosseins with sea water and heating on the territory. The cafe cooks very tasty. A wide range of dishes. The kitchen is simply bombastic. We had a vacation with my husband in June 2022 at the Tarusa guest house. We would like to express our gratitude to Tanya, Said, the girls, the cook, the maids, for a wonderful vacation! Wonderful garden , home cooking, two swimming pools, the sea is close, quiet, calm, what else do you need? On the embankment, which is within walking distance, there are many cafes where you can have fun, interesting excursions. A great place for your money!!! There are, of course, reviews about the lack of a beach, about rooms that did not meet their expectations. But, who is looking for what! There is a beach, it is not difficult to walk to it along a 200-meter path. Yes, it is not equipped like the central one. But, I think, if it were more decorated, then the workload would be greater and, accordingly, there would be people who would complain about the constant noise and movement on the beach from a huge number of vacationers. As for the number of rooms, it is exactly the same as the price is saved for it! You can make expensive repairs in each room, but then it will cost many times more expensive and many who can now afford to relax here will no longer have such an opportunity. At the same time, there is a discount system for regular customers and for those who book rooms for a long time. If it's about food, then there are a lot of complaints about the shared kitchen. I can't add anything to this, because we used the kitchen only to wash dishes or fruits and to replenish water supplies. But the cafe where we ate every day, we really liked it! And the setting itself and the menu. It is cooked very tasty and varied. Yes, it is not cheap, but there is no other way, either expensive and high-quality or cheap and not tasty!. Separately, I would like to note the main "feature" of this DG, this is a heated swimming pool! Yes, exactly, the pool, since in fact only a small pool is heated to a high temperature, and a large one, as I understand it, if heated, then not much in the off-season, and even more so in winter, an ordinary person (not a "walrus") will not feel comfortable swimming in it. The territory is large and very green. There is a small trampoline and a swing, the child was satisfied. For residents of the north, it will be interesting to watch the growing tangerines, persimmons and other fruits right on the territory. So, if you weigh all the pros or cons, it's definitely worth a rest here! Even in the first half of October, we managed to swim in the sea every day, but we didn't get out of the pools at all! Separately, I would like to note that this is the only small DG in Abkhazia where a webcam is installed and can be observed in real time.

At first glance, this hotel is good, but there are many disadvantages.The only advantages are that there is a swimming pool and a good view.There is a cleaning service.
Minuses:
1) There is a lot of chlorine and various poisons in the pool, especially in fresh water.
2) The pools are dirty, there are hair, bugs, leaves floating in the seawater pool.There is sand on the bottom.
3) The rooms are quite old.
4) If your dreams are that the sea will descend and that's it, then no.The sea is located nearby, but you still have to walk to a normal beach.
5) The beach is dirty, it smells rotten enough and there is various garbage.
6) The monastery and other attractions of Mount Athos are a 1-2 hour walk away.
7) There is a railway track nearby and every time a train passes you will hear it.
8) The owners sometimes burn some garbage and because of this there is a very unpleasant smell on the street.
9) There is no sound insulation in the rooms, you will hear every step of the neighbors, and in the bathroom you will hear the conversation of the neighbors.
I also want to say that it is worth coming there for a trial, but still I would advise you to choose another place.
Although the photos look good, it looks different in real life.

Well, for an amateur. Rooms are like communal apartments in Rostov Nakhichevan. The dining room is simple, the children of the staff do their homework in it))). You order what to cook for you. Its own access to the sea, in the courtyard there is an outdoor small warm pool and a larger cold one. And a citrus orchard. I was ready for Spartan conditions, so 4+ (the air conditioner did not work, it was quite cool - February)
