The building was built as a mortuary in 1895. For twenty years it served its intended purpose. After the First World War, the functions of the building changed. During the period of interwar Poland, the building housed the chapel IX (DOK IX) of the district hospital. With the outbreak of World War II and the deployment of Red Army units in the fortress, from 1939 until June 22, 1941, the morgue of Brest-Litovsk Military Hospital No. 2396 was reopened. In the post-war period, the building was redesigned for the needs of the 11921 v/h, a boiler room was built in it. That's the story for 125 years.
