The Akhangaran River, or simply Angren, separates the Kuramin Ridge from the Chatkal Ridge, familiar from the past parts, approaching Tashkent. The Akhangaran valley, straight, deep and wide, clearly should belong to a large river... but Akhangaran is so shallow that in autumn it sometimes goes under the rocks, and it seems as if it is completely dry. Most likely, this was not always the case: the rivers were fuller, and the mountains covered gardens and forests... reduced a long time ago to fuel for smelters.
