The history of the city began at this place. There is a magnificent view of the surrounding area, where the lakes are silvered. Gulls, herons, storks, swallows.. Wind and sun, clean air and nature of the National Park - everything is for you! Colorful roofs of houses, church domes and church spires. And also, on the mountain, at the highest place, there is a monument-grave to an outstanding citizen: Dr. Narbut. It is very green and fresh around. Historical legends in wooden statues.. I recommend.
We rested in Braslav, climbed the Castle Hill, the mountain offers a magnificent view of the lakes, the city, the church and the temple! We are thrilled! There are signs at the entrance to the Castle Hill, where the whole history of this mountain is described from and to, we walked with pleasure
Castle Hill in Braslav is an excellent observation deck. It offers magnificent views of the charming town with its houses, church, church and of course the huge lake Drevyaty. We got there in May and managed to enjoy the dizzying aromas of lilac that grows all over the town. Braslav smells like lilac ❤
A wonderful place! I walked around with my mouth open and took pictures of everything) The view of the lake from there is gorgeous! And Braslav itself is a wonderful city! I am incredibly happy that I visited him. Now the Vitebsk region is definitely my favorite!
Great place, beautiful scenery. There are few people, there are souvenir shops, and various festivals are often held. You can take very aesthetic photos. I definitely recommend everyone to visit.
An interesting place on a hill!
Even before reading the details of what kind of place it is, there was a desire to build a big house here!
Nice views and a wonderful atmosphere!
There is not much space for cars, but there is no queue either!
I recommend you to visit!
There is a hill "Castle Hill" around the town of Braslav. It is gradually being improved. There is currently only one swing with a view of Lake. The trees are taken.
The Castle Hill offers colorful views of Braslav and its surroundings. Each season gives them a fascinating variety, everyone can see something of their own. A good place for spiritual relaxation. There is information about its history on the stands. Castle Hill is a wonderful addition to the Mayak mountain, for understanding and perceiving the beauties of the Braslav region. Come and touch the beautiful!
Atmospheric! Wind and views. To a small lake with an island and a city and to a large lake (on the shore of which the annual Viva Braslav festival takes place). Again, there are quality slides with a panorama, and a local amphitheater, and wooden sculptures. but!!! Find the stairs directly to this hill (opposite the church) - your feet will be very grateful))).
I am a guest of the city of Braslav. I am very impressed by the antiquity and richness of the history of the city and the surrounding area. I walked a lot, so to speak, exploring the city with my feet. But the tour conducted by the historian, geographer and native of Panteleiko Alexander helped to feel and see this history, this nature of the region!
A beautiful and fascinating place. Here I felt incredibly strong and omnipotent, the earth itself seemed to share its power and thanks to this you will be able to "move mountains". Come and feel it all for yourself
It is definitely worth visiting if you are in Braslov. You can climb the stairs that are opposite the church. There is also a parking lot for a car.
The views are amazing.
A gorgeous place! It offers an unforgettable view of the lakes, the church, the church and the whole city, as if in the palm of your hand, a very interesting history of this place.
This is an unforgettable excursion in Braslav. It is a very beautiful church. The view from the Lighthouse Mountain is simply amazing. Whoever has not been to the Lighthouse Mountain has not been to Braslav.
The views from the mountain are sooo beautiful and simply mesmerizing. There is a swing, a stage where events are held, historical monuments. I recommend a visit. It is located in the city itself, so it is easy to get there even on foot🫶
Castle Hill in Braslav is a high hill on which a small settlement was once founded. The place for settlement is convenient: it is easy to defend yourself and nearby lakes are an endless source of fish. Unfortunately, the fortress wall and buildings were only wooden and there is nothing left of them today. All the sights are wooden statues of the characters of the legend of the origin of Braslav - a very tragic legend, as, indeed, many similar legends: "... in general, everyone died." And the most significant structure, at the highest point, is a monument to the local doctor Narbut: an obelisk resembling post-war monuments, but with one interesting feature: a lantern is installed at the peak of the obelisk, to which wires are connected - well, like a kind of ancient lighthouse (?) for the orientation of fishermen on the two nearest lakes. Apparently, the lighthouse has not been used for a long time. In general, the place is very modest, but for lowland Belarusians it is rare with its high hill.
The settlement itself is unremarkable, except for a few wooden idols.
But from the mountain there is a wonderful view of the lakes and a gorgeous sunset.
If you are in Braslav, it is definitely worth a visit
The mountain offers a magnificent view of Drivyaty. In the center there is information about the fortress and the legend of the name of the city of Braslav. Be sure to read it, it's interesting.
Magnificent view of the city, the church and the church, the lakes. You can swing on the swing, enjoy the scenery. If you are in Braslav, be sure to visit!!
The view is awesome. The mountain is located almost in the center of Braslav. There is a great bakery nearby, with delicious sour cream and pastries. There are several gazebos and swings on the mountain itself. You can have a good time and have a picnic.
Wooden sculptures on Castle Hill must be urgently rescued, otherwise they will rot soon! It's a pity - this is one of the attractions of the place. And the view from the mountain is magnificent!
