We had a rest with friends at the Bakuriani ski resort, the impressions are generally good. The slopes here are excellent, there are trails for different levels of training. Equipment can be rented, which is very convenient. After skiing, have a nice time in cozy cafes. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the queues for the lifts at the weekend.

In winter, ride only on studded tires! No all-season race on the way back will save you! It's worth a trip except to see nature, and to eat already in Borjomi, because prices are 2 or even 3 times more expensive in Bakuriani.

It's a great resort, there are no queues, the prices are average, there are no problems with parking. But the main disadvantage is that there are no toilets anywhere in the resort!

The trails are good, the views are good, but you shouldn't go just for the views. Poorly developed infrastructure. It's dirty. There are no toilets. Buy coffee - 1 cafe. Lots of stray dogs.

Gorgeous snow, slopes and lifts. The resort itself is diverse and has a history.
Of the cons: the ski areas are not connected. There is a problem with catering on the mountain, and in the village it is a problem to eat tasty and fast.

It's not cheap, the lifts are good, but the trails are sooo small. On the second one, you need to have good skating skills. You need to look for parking on the weekend if you arrive after 12 ... good places to relax. Rooms next to 5!!! You can go on a guided tour:)

Georgian Switzerland. I was in the summer for the purpose of paragliding. Alas, the weather has failed. It is worth going over the pass to the lake. Tatsminda, I think. A lake with a mountain above it. The landscape is fantastic.

We celebrated 2019 in a wonderful cottage with a fireplace. It was not possible to wash properly for 10 days, the water flows in a thin cold trickle. As far as we understood, this is a problem of a part of the village and, of course, the quality of construction. The desire to save your money and tear off a piece more from the tourist. Everything is built on this. Didveli is often closed due to the winds, everyone goes to Kohta, which accumulates huge queues at the ticket offices and at the lift. The staff is not ready, and does not really want to organize and regulate the flow of guests. If Mitarbi is closed, then you can queue for Kohta for 20-40 minutes. If the second queue is open, it is better not to go down, but to go to Mitarbi, again, if it is open.Be prepared for the fact that you will be standing in line, and brother Georgian will pass by without. Terrible infrastructure on the slopes - You can only have a snack with a cold hot dog, going down to the very bottom, again, you have to stand in a huge queue to get up. It's scary to talk about toilets - even the walls are dirty and yes, the toilet is paid))) It is better to take food and drinks with you. In general, the tracks are good and interesting for those who have nothing to compare them with. The resort is suitable for family holidays. There is a lot of entertainment in the center for children. Restaurants with overpriced prices and not always Georgian hospitality. You can wait 30 minutes for the waiter to place an order, and the local who came at the same time with you will already be eating khinkali) There are terrible traffic jams in the village, sometimes you had to walk, because you can stand for 1 hour 1 km. The very atmosphere of the village is warm and wild. Here you can relax your soul, if you do not pay attention to the local mentality. 1 time worth a visit.

Now excellent family hotels and huge buildings with infrastructure are being built there ...
And in 2023 Bakuriani will host the freestyle and snowboarding World Championships...
