A beautiful mountain, a beautiful legend, in this region in general, nature pleases the eyes, there are a lot of things worth seeing, both mountains and lakes, and again, I'm afraid to make a mistake, but I remember that literally 30-40 minutes by car and you get to the steppe, an unusual contrast, because I was in this place on the spur of the moment, during a business trip, unfortunately I could not see everything, but positive impressions remained, along the way I swam in the lake and was surprised by the purity of the water, that is, standing up to my neck in the water, I saw my feet standing at the bottom, again, for a reason, there is a children's camp, which, like It was described to me, it is an Artek in Kazakhstan, lovers of natural landscapes definitely need to visit this place. I was surprised by some mountains that seem to be made of stones, perhaps for someone it is commonplace, but for me, a resident of the plain, who has been to the Caucasus, Siberia, and the Urals, that is, in mountainous places, it still aroused some interest.

I prefer to call this mountain the "Sleeping Knight". Although the name "Zheke batyr" is also about a knight - warrior, but no longer sleeping. And he is sleeping, or dozing, because the profile of the rock resembles a warrior in a medieval helmet in a horizontal position. And the mountain itself, quiet, deaf, away from noise, disposes to tranquility, sleep. If I were a tired knight, I would definitely fall asleep on the slope of this mountain. The mountain is a test, and at the same time, the mountain is an inspirer, betraying self-confidence, giving panoramic views only at the very peak of climbing, pushing for new hikes and ascents. It is quite dangerous and difficult at the top without experience and comfortable shoes. I am sure that the height at which I have been three times is not the peak and is not the most difficult goal. I don't know this mountain well. But it also pleases, there will be a reason to rise again from the other side.
This time we went up with a large company, including three children. We walked the route cheerfully, did not get lost, were not afraid of windbreaks, although the whole forest, as after the debauch of a fabulous giant, is dotted with fallen pine trunks. We started the route almost head-on, from Priozernaya Street and Zhumbaktas sanatorium. Two hours later, we reached one of the peaks with stops, overcoming the slope at the end of almost 60 degrees. We went a little off course, and the finish line was inconvenient, small and steep, it did not fit all of us. The children showed themselves to be better than the adults. The whole trip took 5 hours. Excellent training, hardening of willpower. The air is clean and beautiful! One trip to the Sleeping Knight is worth many ascents of the crowded Sinyukha. I recommend it to everyone.
