Do not listen to the Bedouins, choose a pace that is convenient for you and go, they will wait for you at the rest stops. I've fallen in love with mountains and hiking recently. These are my second conquered mountains. We took the tour in the so-called canal, realizing that this is not a path for weaklings and we will have to work hard to reach the top. In general, I can say that the path is not very difficult, but the time of the year and, accordingly, clothes play a significant role.We were on February 20th, 2025.It was about 6 degrees at night, at 10 a.m. it got warmer from the sun, but not hot, the wind did not let me relax. In this weather, I recommend warm socks, boots, a jacket, a hat, gloves and a change of clothes, preferably, or thermal underwear.Due to the temperature fluctuations, plus personal heat exchange, it happens that you sweat a lot, then cool down sharply and it's annoying. On the last rise, they sell warm blankets for rent($2)they saved us a lot. My husband and I were laughing at a guy on a bus in almost warm Alaska, and then we were jealous of him. As for romance, I was incredibly impressed by the climb. The starry sky, the moon is shining brightly that you don't even need a flashlight, the peaks of the peaks of the mountains, the hollows below, and of course the dawn itself, the mountains, the spitting camels, all this is worth seeing. I want to say separately about the Bedouins, the guys did well, they helped as much as they could and warmed and gave a hand and encouraged as they could. In our column, there was Jimmy in charge and two assistants named Josef-if it hadn't been for them, I would have frozen to death there. The guys controlled everyone, called them together, and the last one always checked if everything was in place. There were 3 stops in total to warm up and relax, tea is $ 2,toilet is $ 1, but in terms of cleanliness it is difficult, the toilet is only at the bottom, near the monastery of St. Catherine. So if you're a fan of testing yourself, go here. Suitable for people under 55 years of age and with strong strong legs.

This sacred place offers a breathtaking view of the great land of Egypt and provides an opportunity to experience the splendor of the world of spirituality and enlightenment. According to Christian traditions, this is the same Mount Harivu on top of which Moses received the tablets of faith with the Ten Commandments. I advise you to visit this holy place, but dress warmly. It's cold there at 5 o'clock in the morning. It's -7 if even +35 by the sea.

We have been climbing Mount Moses since New Year's Eve, December 30th. The guide promised many stops on the way to the top, but in fact the Bedouins drove us without rest. We didn't stop at all for the first 3 stops, then we rested for 5 minutes and again without stopping until we reached the steps. It was a hard journey. Before the steps, we were given an hour to rest in a tent, and then we started climbing to the top. The mountain opens up to everyone in different ways, but for me personally, the dawn on the mountain exceeded all expectations. I am very satisfied and plan to conquer it again. For those who plan to conquer in winter! Dress as warmly as possible, there was frost on top and the temperature was -5. The wind is bone-chilling, and it was very cold even by Moscow standards.

Mount Moses. I went in February. We went out at night, around 01:30.I must say right away that the road is not an easy one. There is no need not to overestimate. The entire route is about 7km.Of course, there are Bedouins everywhere with camel taxis (for those who are tired). But I decided to walk myself.Very cold.Strong wind, minus temperature.Even in a hoodie and a jacket it was cold. There are stops with Bedouin cafes along the way. There you can warm up and drink hot tea.Dachshund:2 dollars). And don't forget about the 750 steps that will be waiting for you near the end of the journey (they take you there by camel taxi, then on foot). They are probably the most difficult. After them, there is a last stop with the Bedouins. There you can use blankets for $1 and climb to the very top in them. And it's very cold there, believe me).The entire route took about 4 hours at an average pace with stops. And the most important thing is to meet the dawn.In my case, it's 06-10 in the morning. But all the agony is worth it, because the view is simply amazing!!!!!

A very unusual and memorable excursion to Mount Moses. Climbing at night, with a flashlight, as part of a group in a chain uphill for about 5.6 km, including about 650 steps at the end of the route, in about 3.5 hours, taking into account rest stops. For those who could not cope, the Bedouins offer a ride on a camel. We meet the dawn at the top and then the return descent. Please note that it is very cold and windy at the top, you can rent a blanket from the Bedouins for $3

I'm still in shock that I've mastered this climb - it's obviously not for weak people, it's long and hard But it was all clearly worth the effort. The views are amazing, plus the incredible and unique atmosphere of the trip itself did not leave anyone indifferent. It was cold, of course, but we were warned, we just didn't think to specify how warmly to dress))) In general, for fans of extreme sports and sports, I strongly recommend it, I advise others to think twice before taking up this case.

It rose on January 13th , 2025 . It's cold at the top, of course, in a winter jacket, hat, scarf and a blanket rented for 3 dollars, we sat at the top, greeted the dawn. The climb is not difficult, but it's up to the steps. Then, the last leg of the 750 steps of stones of different heights and widths, of course, requires endurance. But it's worth it. The beauty is unearthly. The Bedouins offer tea for $2, based on their local herbs, very tasty, and a Bedouin flatbread for the same price. There are also sweets, chocolates, and candy bars on sale. We went back down around 8 a.m. It's faster to go down, of course. And warmer. I was wearing the same dress already. But she was throwing a scarf in the shade. I'm not cold at all, I've been without sweatshirts and gloves all winter since I was a kid. But there, if you don't move, and especially at night, it's really cold. We were lucky that there was no wind and it was a moonlit, starry night.

There is about zero at the top. The guide brings dawn for this, in order not to freeze, you have to rent a blanket. For some reason, the guide led us quickly, everyone was sweating, and that's why they were frozen upstairs. Take dry socks with you to replace them, wear normal shoes at 0 degrees, a sweatshirt, jacket and hat, and light gloves. You can take the foam with you or rent it so that you don't have to stand for an hour waiting for dawn. It's beautiful when the sun rises there. You can take a camel for 10 dollars and ride it up. And down too, so if you find it difficult to walk a lot, this option is also acceptable.

The ascent was made on January 25. There are a lot of impressions, but not all of them are pleasant. If you are going to know, have local money with you. The toilet is 10 pounds. Winter clothes. A winter jacket that wasn't too thin. I'm not a cold person, but it was hard on my feet in sneakers. Better yet, ask the guide for all the details. Climbing mountains at night is still an adventure. But if you prepare, it's a great place.

Meeting the dawn at the top of the mountain leaves unforgettable impressions, and the views of the surrounding mountains in the morning sun will definitely remain in your memory! Don't forget to bring warm clothes with you while waiting for dawn, you'll definitely need them, or you can get a dusty blanket for a few dollars from the locals at the top)))

She climbed Mount Moses in October 2024. I am 66 years old, but I am athletic, I walk a lot and still work at 2 jobs, I was able to cope with the night climb, very, very difficult (to put it mildly), but there were 2 women in our group (as it turned out, matchmakers), one of whom is 75 years old, the other is my age, but with hearing impairment. A 75-year-old grandmother with poorly walking legs, even in a straight line, could barely walk to the first stop in a Bedouin cafe-shop, where she safely passed the night, and her matchmaker glukhovtaya reached with a group, we all supported her, joked and humored a lot along the way, since it was very hard for everyone and nothing else there was nothing left but humor and inner silent prayer. Well, thank God, we reached, endured, joined, went down, terrified how we could climb such a road all night! I want to say that, after all, the tour operator needs to dissuade 65+ grandmothers from climbing Mount Moses and politely offer something not so extreme

It was in May 2025. Night climbing and meeting the dawn. I do not advise people with poor health. It is sooooo difficult to climb 2485 m on strong-willed qualities. But if you do decide, you'll need a forehead fanatic, comfortable shoes, windproof clothing, walking sticks, and $30 for a camel driver.

We bought an excursion to Mount Sinai with a visit to the monastery of St. Catherine. The tour took place on December 6, 2023. The tour from Sun International is accompanied by a guide - Yazi. Departure from the Sharm el Sheikh hotel at 20.40. By 21.10, all buses with tourists were assembled at the exit from the city, the wait for security escort was more than half an hour, the way with stops to the monastery was about 3 hours. Since there were only 14 people in the group, the bus was small, cramped, and it was uncomfortable to sit and even more so to sleep. Everyone had things, clothes and breakfasts, they kept everything on their knees and partially put it in the aisle, because at each stop everything must be cleaned to get out. In general, it is inconvenient, everyone is tired of the trip. At 23.10 we arrived at a shop or shop at the monastery, where icons, oils, in general, everything that monks make, 20 minutes. For a story about the monastery and shopping. Then we get back on the bus, the guide gives out flashlights, but as it turned out later, they burn no more than 40 and take you to the checkpoint, where I inspect you and all things. The guide then hands over the group to a Bedouin who will lead you up the mountain,

They also have water, tea and coffee and snacks. Take money with you, you don't need to carry extra things!

An amazing tour! But! We were ready to climb, we understood where we were going and why. We were lucky with both a guide and a Russian-speaking Bedouin guide. The night sky is something incredible, I've never seen anything like it. We reached the place by 4 a.m., waited for dawn for 2 hours and it was worth it! St. Catherine's Monastery - Wow effect! What you need to know! Climbing at night, you need good shoes and warm clothes. The Bedouins will sell you ponchos and blankets, it's cold at the top. We had a lifeguard blanket and our own thermos of tea. It's better to have your own good flashlight. You can also take a camel for $ 25. We walked with our feet, because we love to walk. Important! All toilets along the way are paid, even the most terrible for Bedouins, prepare local money. You need to take food with you. (15.09.2023)

Probably the best tour in Egypt.I love mountains and heights. When I found out about this tour, I agreed to it without hesitation.Of course, this is not Elbrus or Mount Everest, but nevertheless it is worth checking yourself.Who has a bad physical condition?with activity, it's better not to.Since I knew roughly what was waiting for me, I slept all the way to somehow ease the sleepless night. It is better to dress warmly and take your flashlight.Along the way, there are several stops at the Bedouins, where you can relax, have a snack and drink tea.I mostly just drank and dozed. The finale was amazing.A sunrise in the mountains is better than a sunrise at sea.

The excursion is only in the form of a pilgrimage, or for desperate lovers to go up into the mountains instead of sleeping. We arrived at 4 am, sunrise at 6-30. Take a nap only sitting down, or rent blankets from the Bedouins and lie down right on the rocks, which they did (they slept for about an hour). The night was overcast and I told the guide that we probably wouldn't see the dawn. He assured that the sun would disperse everything. !The sunrise was never seen, because of the clouds! The Bedouin guide then said that the weather often changes and about 2 times a week there is no sunrise, you need to be ready. The hotel guide didn't warn us, we wouldn't have gone! To facilitate the ascent, you can take a camel, about $ 20, but what to do at the top for 3-4 hours is not clear. We were lucky with the weather - it was not particularly cold (13 °) and the wind was acceptable under the Bedouin blanket, and sometimes everything is much tougher. Separately, I will note the dirt all over the road in the form of camel manure and not only (((, all kinds of plastic, Bedouins are not very clean and do not monitor cleanliness on the mountain, only business))) 2 stars only for the view of the mountains, and then they are not allowed to enjoy, but are driven down in time.

Yes, it was a feat! 7km on foot in the night with a flashlight and breathing Bedouins in the back, who were waiting to put an exhausted man on a camel. Naturally, for money-$ 20.After the walking path, another 750 steps up. And up there, having thrown off a hundred sweats and sins, grace. At 7.00 the dawn and the beginning of a new day is unforgettable. Important:warm clothes, comfortable shoes, face cream, lip balm and of course a change of clothes for the descent, because the sun will start to fry.. They did not take blankets, they are too dirty from the word Bedouins at all) Water and food with you. Give the surplus to the kids, they meet on the way back all the time. The tour is difficult, but we did not regret it.

If I had only imagined what awaits me on this tour, I would not have gone. It lasts 16 hours. A long road to point A. Night ascent to Mount Moses to meet the dawn there. Religion and romance. It is believed that it was on Mount Sinai that God appeared to Moses and gave 10 commandments. I wanted to see a beautiful sunrise. However, I did not expect to receive a pilgrimage format instead of an excursion. Both guides told very little about Mount Moses and the monastery of St. Catherine with the burning bush (last photo). The ascent itself is 7 km, designed for 3 hours. The main difficulty is that we walked along the stones all the way, and at the end we overcame about 700 steps of different heights and widths. Back, too, cheerfully. I want to sleep at night, but here is a steep uphill climb. For the first 15 minutes, I wanted to tell everything to go to hell, but an uncomfortable camel cost $20. Gritting my teeth, I walked. Then she concentrated on breathing. It became easier. There was even a hope that I would reach the top. I bought a Coke at the first pass. Caffeine + sugar. And that's when I turned on the third speed. I flew. She overtook two other people's groups, lost her own, waited and went forward and up again. I hardly rested on the treacherous 700 steps, I took a little breath. It was overcoming yourself. It turns out I'm tough. Sport helps a lot. Those with physical activity on you will have a hard time. In our group, the girl became ill and continued her journey on a camel. At the top there is a modest mosque and a closed church. And the dawn meeting. It's beautiful, but I guess I still like sunsets more. And I would prefer to meet the dawn with a view of the mountains near the hotel. Such an unexpected pilgrimage turned out to be. At the same time, the rating of the tour was high.

Very picturesque mountains. It is better to take warm clothes with you - at the end of September it was cold and very windy at night. According to legend, on Mount Moses, or as it is also called Mount Sinai, Moses received the cherished tablets, and all sins are forgiven to a man who ascended this mountain and met the dawn. In 2007, we already climbed it. This means that you need to walk all night up and up a fairly gentle path in a snake of the order of 4-4,5 hours and overcome less than a kilometer of altitude (and the total height above sea level is somewhere 2280 m), at the end to storm the last 800 steps - in fact, the stones are quite curved. I didn't remember any special difficulties of climbing, but I remembered the night sky in unusually large clusters of constellations, the awesome dawn at the top. It's quite chilly. A bunch of Koreans tried to sing something ... However, over the past 16 years we have accumulated sins, years and extra pounds, which fully made us feel all the difficulties of purification. Or maybe the Earth's gravity has increased with all our cataclysms? In addition, my girls did not bother to shake the backpack and as a result, the laptop power supply and a bunch of other completely unnecessary things were lifted to the top. This is a load of sins... The Egyptians, I must say, did not waste these fifteen years and built up something - roads, some stupid buildings, etc., the mountains were highlighted! In general, they clearly spoiled the wild charm of the place. As a result, the pedestrian path lengthened, and the backlight stole the blackness of the wonderful night - well, people do not understand all the charms, it would be better to clean the road from the stones more carefully. And it was a wonderful night - the month crept along, propped up by the teeth of the peaks, the Bedouin camel taxis tried to push greedy pedestrians who did not want to accept their services into a discernible abyss (the camel is actually not a camel, but a dromedary (otherwise a one-humped camel). And it wasn't cold - after all, May is not a month of December. In general, seven sweats came off me, and only on the eighth, here it is - the top. As last time, the pilgrims were surprised - very elderly people with chopsticks, some with assistants. What does faith mean, it reduces the gravity of the earth. At the top, the star has nowhere to fall (by the way, in December they fell, and in May they only matured and held on tightly to space). And I was also surprised by the family who dragged a cat into these rocks, a thoroughbred, but completely stunned by this way of atoning for their feline sins. But now the sky is getting lighter and lighter, and around 5 o'clock the sun jumps out from behind the mountains, small as a tennis ball, and the rapidly changing light floods the window, and you can't take your eyes off. You forget about everything - maybe it is at this moment that sins are sucked into a certain cosmic funnel and sent to the black holes of the galaxy for washing... Everyone gets extremely excited, faces light up, eyes shine, cameras and smartphones heat up, stopping the moments. Half an hour of euphoria and now you have to go down. Last time, the descent was remembered for its beauty - we followed a short path, very picturesque, albeit steeper. But this road, they said, collapsed, the Egyptians did not even think to restore it. In general, the descent was not easy. Maybe the phantom weight of sins did not let go, but by the end of the journey, my left knee was completely out of the right position. In addition, the May sun has been hot since 7 a.m. We barely made it to the Monastery of St.Catherine is a real oasis among the lifeless mountains. We rested, had a snack - I must say that the Otelevsky dry bread turned out to be completely inedible, and what the camels did not get, went to the local monastery cats. The Monastery of St. Catherine is a special place, one of the oldest in the world, there is an Orthodox church and a mosque. You can put candles on - but only for the Orthodox (all sorts of Germans and other Lutherans are not allowed to the shrines by monks and Egyptian guides - it's quite funny to watch godless Europeans puzzled), to see the well dug by Moses, Inside the monastery there is a well-known and slightly stripped bush of burning bush, which is several thousand years old. The burning bush is not a burning bush, from the flame of which God turned to Moses. The place is really worth a visit, once is quite enough. The second time to carry sins so high, you have to think hard. And unless Alzheimer's drives me to this peak for the third time...

According to the Bible, God appeared to Moses on this mountain and gave 10 commandments. It is a religious place in Egypt. People of different faiths climb the mountain.. And not only. For many, this is a significant event: you climb a mountain and let go of all your sins, and you can also make a wish. The cost of the tour is $ 25 per person, about 30. But no more. Otherwise, tour operators inflate prices. It can be purchased on the website (but I won't say which one.. women traveled with us, who bought through the site. We bought it at a tour shop in Nabok) If possible, take a thermos of tea with you, because just before climbing the mountain, they asked for $2 (140 rubles) for a small cup of tea, and there was $1 in the lower shops. Do not forget to take warm clothes with you, it will be cold when you go up the stairs (we had a strong wind), so the Bedouins offered to rent a blanket for $ 3 before climbing. But! When we got up, we didn't need it, because there was no wind there (when we were already meeting the dawn). It is better to take warm clothes with you (you can even wear gloves and a hat, they will not be superfluous). Don't forget about comfortable shoes either, as the trail is 7 kilometers long, 4.15 of them.. These are the steps) Downstairs, you can rent a camel (originally offered $ 20, and on the way.. The price dropped to 10). I didn't see it myself, but I was told that camels can roll down with a passenger, so you decide for yourself. But we have not had such incidents. You can also take food with you for a snack (we ate before climbing to the very top and then at the bottom at the foot. We took rolls, mangoes and a lot of water with us. The toilets are 5 pounds, but upstairs they are terrible.
