Achmarda Mountain is located on the border of the Krasnodar Territory and Abkhazia, on the territory of Abkhazia near the border river Psou. The name comes from the Turkish name - Khachmard, which literally means "filthy Cross". It is now pronounced Achmarda. The fact is that in ancient times there was a Christian temple on the top of the mountain (now the remains of the temple are ruins, at least they were 70 years ago). Now it's a wild place, but it's just perfect for a "wild" vacation. It's a long way to the sea, but you can get there by car pretty soon. Achmardin cheese is famous in the nearest market. A great place for lovers of collecting medicinal herbs. The hosts are very hospitable, they will not ask for much, the products are all fresh and natural, including meat and dairy. In the forest in June, you can collect porcini mushrooms. Excellent homemade wine. Have a successful holiday on Achmard! For whom wildness is not a disadvantage, but
an advantage.
