It looks like a big park, not a botanical garden. It only cointains a little number of kinds of trees and plants, and it doesn't contain any exotic plants or trees. But it's good for walking
Very beautiful, large in area, represented by a variety of flora, the botanical garden of Almaty is perfect for both family holidays and organized excursions for schoolchildren and students. There are wide alleys with beautiful flower beds and quiet paths where you can find a large number of tame squirrels and pheasants.
In addition to the beauty and splendor of all kinds of plants, the cleanliness and well-groomed garden, the presence of benches and gazebos with beautiful views are pleasantly striking.
Convenient parking on the Al-Farabi side.
It is clear that the garden is being watched, many thanks for the work of the staff. It is very interesting to walk through the various zones. The Japanese garden is neat and pleasant to the eye.
In the North American zone, the feeling of being transported to a real forest, the smells, the coolness, the birds, is just wonderful.
We have been there several times this year, we are really looking forward to the warm season next year, we will definitely come. A very good place to walk on a weekend or on a weekday evening.
Very amazing garden experience) Many different types of trees and flowers! You can see fish, swans and ducks) There are wild pigeons on the territory, here and there you can hear (and even see) pheasants! It's nice that you can see all this in the city center!
And special emotions from squirrels))) these beautiful creatures are very funny) When going to the Botanical Garden, be sure to take a treat for squirrels with you) This will add joy to you and leave wonderful impressions of funny animals in your memory for a long time)))
The botanical garden itself is a wonderful place where you can have a great rest with the whole family. However, the staff leaves much to be desired. I visited the Botanical Garden for the second time, the first time was about five years ago, and I forgot the payment procedure. They are standing at the entrance asking for payment, it's hot outside, sorry. Nobody explains anything about how to pay. By law, children are considered to be under 18 years old (or the law has changed), my daughter is 16, I forgot my student ID at home, payment is for an adult.
The Botanical Garden is beyond praise. There are a lot of innovations that you may not have met yet. Well-groomed paths along which it is pleasant to walk between tall pines and ancient oaks. Beautiful cypresses and trimmed shrubs are pleasing to the eye. I never thought that there were so many varieties of lilac in the world. My eyes are falling out from such beauty. At the entrance to the pond, tender nymphaeum sprouts. Everyone can find their own cozy corner where you can just relax, because it is impossible to cover everything, the park is so huge in size.
It is extremely huge, there is a lot of greenery, as every good park should be. There are excellent shops, the staff cleans there almost around the clock. Also, I just really liked the place near the building with the kalona with the architecture of antiquity. And the area of the park with water attracted my unusual attention (well, you can find a bridge there). In addition, there are maps in various parts of the park, which gives orientation in this large park. For a walk with the whole family, especially in summer it is generally super.
A charming place. I regularly go to the Botanical Garden with my grandchildren, one of the most favorite places in Almaty. Thanks to the organizers and staff of the garden, everything is wonderful, culturally, clean, polite, everything is done with love and care. The population of squirrels, pets of children and adults, is increasing year by year, and it is clear that they are very comfortable there.
A wonderful huge garden, very well maintained in the central part, a magnificent rose garden, rows of juniper trees are impressive. There are ponds with fish, lotuses of different colors, benches for relaxation.
If you move away from the main alley, you will go deeper into an almost wild park with narrow paths, small and large lawns overgrown with grass or mowed down, where you can walk or relax.
It is not very clear the purpose of the fenced-off areas, closed with a lock. I saw through the fence that interesting, unusual plants grow, I would like to see, but alas...
A great place for a family outing with the kids. It is very green and clean. The walking paths are clean and in excellent condition, there are benches everywhere for relaxing. The fish pond is a miracle. There are also swans on the lake. The only thing that upsets is the electric scooters that are in abundance there, it really spoils the atmosphere
A great place for a leisurely walk alone, or in the company of family or friends.
Despite the lack of attractions, a walk through the botanical garden is also suitable for children - a pond with swans and a large number of fish, as well as squirrels living among the pines, will definitely arouse children's interest, and the opportunity to feed them will leave pleasant memories from the walk
As always, I enjoyed it, there is an island of peace and tranquility inside the city. Affordable entrance, there is a cafeteria for enjoying your favorite coffee or tea. You can feel as if you are in your country residence, if your imagination is developed))). I love it, I recommend it to everyone.
I really liked walking here: beautiful central paths with ponds and flower beds, green arches, cozy maple, lime, pine alleys with garlands, and immediately winding paths where there is not a soul. Only the ubiquitous squirrels :) The Japanese kindergarten is so cute. Evening lighting transforms everything around, and you want to go around the garden again. It's a pity, the tropical pavilion does not accept people yet, it is closed for reconstruction.
A very cool park, I advise everyone to visit this park especially with family, clean air, koi fish, squirrels, rats for children to see
And you can also feed squirrels, they are different here, but it means that their tails are fluffy and gray in color. In general, I advise everyone to visit this park!!!
A wonderful park.
I didn't understand it at first, but after going through all the zones, it turned out to be very large and interesting.
I think the Japanese garden is modest, I wanted more decorations, but it's still a botanical garden.
There are ponds with red carp, there are ponds with swans.
Squirrels are almost tame.
I didn't see any devices selling food.
Maybe I looked it over, or maybe they need to be installed.
Gorgeous pine forest, blackthorn and much more.
Go for a walk, explore every corner.
A great place to walk!
A kind of oasis in the city. Unfortunately, in recent years it has become more of a recreation park. I don't know how much scientific work is being done there now, but the place is wonderful for walking. It is a pity that the greenhouse was destroyed. I remember as a child we were taken there on excursions, and the smell of those tropical plants is still in my head. I do not believe that the need for study has disappeared, it just seems that everything has moved into the category of getting benefits.
Gorgeous park: culturally, clean, great air. There are many benches where you can relax in the shade of the trees. The park is divided into zones with different vegetation dedicated to different natural areas. I highly recommend it.
There is an island of tranquility among the dusty, noisy city.
A place to relax. It's a great break from the hustle and bustle. Forget about problems and charge yourself with positivity.
The beautiful and unique nature will help to restore strength.
I recommend it to everyone without exception.
Of course, this is an ideal place for outdoor walks, but just as a botanical garden, not everything is so perfect. There are just a lot of bushes and overgrown territory, I have not found a flower garden, half of the plots are fenced and are not allowed there, and there it seems like the most interesting thing was behind bars. I liked only the ponds with water lilies and the Japanese garden.
A great place for a family visit. The garden is very large and it takes a lot of time to visit everywhere. However, it is up to the visitors themselves to preserve this place in its original form. There have been cases of feeding swans and squirrels with the wrong thing. If it says not to feed, then don't feed. The garden is also a great place to "walk" your camera phone or camera.
I often visit Almaty, I visited the botanical garden for the first time, I really liked everything: the lake with swans, ponds with fish, a house for insects that clean the garden (so cute)
Sunbeds with mountain views, generally super, sit, meditate, that's it. There are many flowers of plants, the alleys are beautiful, everything is picturesque. I didn't have much time, so I think I saw a small part of the garden. Of course, there are neglected places, but I think this will not spoil the impression
this is a safe and cultural place almost in the very center of the city, where you can calmly and culturally walk with the whole family with children everywhere there are clean places to relax, there are clean toilets, drinking water flows from taps, I have been drinking this water since childhood, it is redirected from the Almarisan gorge, it is cool and cozy everywhere it is a forest with various shrubs and varieties of many crops in vegetation.
Well-groomed large territory, lots of squirrels, greenery, lots of greenery!! Clean air!!!
In September, there was a beautiful view of the mountains.
A wonderful opportunity to spend some time with yourself, relax and unwind.
I was incredibly impressed!!! In my mind, the botanical garden has always been associated with some kind of small greenhouse with a couple of exotic palm trees and a bunch of flowers. But the visit exceeded all expectations!!! People, people, brothers!!! It's a whole forest!!! It's a forest of different, different trees and plants, it's an incredible beauty!!! It's like being in a gallop, in a fabulous forest!!! We are lucky that we got to the time of flowering of magnolia and lilac, oh this fragrance is charming and intoxicating!!! The feeling of delight and admiration at the sight of giant pines, Little Red Riding Hood walked through such a forest to her grandmother, in such a forest the Troubadour sang "the night will pass, the morning will come clear" to his princess from the Bremen Town musicians, in the same forest Shrek met Fiona! This is a great place!!! This is taking into account the fact that the greenhouse under reconstruction will take two hours to get around it in a small way, and if you "sit" and relax, then plus a couple of hours. According to my estimates, the area of the garden is like that of a microdistrict or maybe two. We came in from Temiryazev, where there is a parking lot two hundred meters away, the cost of which is 400 tenge, at the entrance you can go to the toilet so as not to look for bushes later)), there is also a cafe with tables on the street where you can have a snack, entrance is paid but not expensive and accessible to everyone, for adults 874 tenge, and for children 570 tenge. There is a stand with prices and a QR code of Caspi for those who want to pay through the application. Beautiful ponds with fish and swans fascinate and evoke a feeling of peace and tranquility, real relaxation. I visited with my wife, children and granddaughter and we all liked it. I recommend it!!!!
The Botanical Garden is one of the favorite places in Almaty, where it is always cozy, at any time of the year. Silence, pheasants, squirrels, colored Japanese carp and white swans. There is no need to talk about the abundance of a wide variety of flowers, trees and shrubs.
We love this place for walking with the whole family. It is very beautiful in all seasons except winter and early spring. We like to contemplate swans and squirrels jumping almost under our feet. A very beautiful territory, large, you can find a secluded place for privacy, you can also walk along the paths where there are quite a lot of people, more often on weekends. We try to choose weekdays for walking. Photo shoots are always very successful.
A great place to take a walk, take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are paths that you walk along like in the forest, and there are paved roads where you can walk with a stroller. You can admire swans and fish. There is a cafe at the entrance. A ticket to enter the botanical garden costs about 900 tenge/person, there is a discount for pensioners.
It is beautiful, great for walking and relaxing. A real forest, almost a taiga, if not for the signs near the trees and a man-made path, salvation in the heat. Ponds with fish. However, there are fences, their purpose is unclear. Vandals are probably disturbing this realm of peace. 🤔
100/10
The park is incredibly beautiful, framed by the grandeur of absolutely cosmic mountains.
I have not experienced such a wow effect with peace for a long time. Clean, beautiful, quiet, here you can relax both body and soul, having a wonderful leisure time.
I definitely recommend it!
A very pleasant place to spend your holidays. Forest paths are very comfortably made walking along them and seeing the forest around you can feel like in a fairy tale.
There is one disadvantage: garbage, sometimes unkempt garden. But if you get to the right time, you can enjoy the beauty
I liked the garden, it's very big, you can just walk for a long time. There are many different plants, and just beautiful views. The only thing is, for some reason, some places are not at all gentrified, which are especially on the side. It would also be great if some greenhouses with exotic plants were added in the future)
On the one hand, the park is very beautiful and well-maintained, there are many flowers, signs near the trees, squirrels run, there are benches, there is a shop and a cafe. But the other part of it is overgrown with waist-high weeds, it is completely unclear what kind of trees grow, there are few signs, medicinal plants can only be looked at through a fence from afar.
A great place to walk! The air is very clean! The roads are very neat! There are a lot of squirrels that run around really fast and may even come up to you! In the morning, you can join a group of runners. On the official website you can see the prices for admission and sports passes.
The beauty is indescribable!!! Squirrels, fish, swans, pheasants, alleys, flower beds, water lilies! Cleanliness! This is our favorite vacation spot! I bow low to the people who managed to keep it all! And to the people who made this fairy tale!
A good place to walk in a shady and relatively well-maintained park, But the actual botanical garden is practically not visible there. The collections are closed for inspection. In places, the "grandmother's garden", but not the botanical one
The Botanical Garden is a must-visit place for tourists in Almaty. There are shady paths with birches and pines, comfortable benches for relaxing, ponds that give coolness and in general a lot of beauty around.
A great place both in summer and winter. Although it is impossible, but still my family and I love to feed squirrels there. It is very pleasant to walk in this park on weekends, look at local animals and get some fresh air.
The place is very picturesque! However, it is definitely worth visiting it at least once! A lot of interesting and useful information is posted on the stands in the center of the park. There are many types of plants. In general, it is clear that the park staff treat this place very carefully, with care and love. Every corner is thought out to the smallest detail. An energetically unusual place.
