A wonderful huge garden, very well maintained in the central part, a magnificent rose garden, rows of juniper trees are impressive. There are ponds with fish, lotuses of different colors, benches for relaxation.
If you move away from the main alley, you will go deeper into an almost wild park with narrow paths, small and large lawns overgrown with grass or mowed down, where you can walk or relax.
It is not very clear the purpose of the fenced-off areas, closed with a lock. I saw through the fence that interesting, unusual plants grow, I would like to see, but alas...
I was incredibly impressed!!! In my mind, the botanical garden has always been associated with some kind of small greenhouse with a couple of exotic palm trees and a bunch of flowers. But the visit exceeded all expectations!!! People, people, brothers!!! It's a whole forest!!! It's a forest of different, different trees and plants, it's an incredible beauty!!! It's like being in a gallop, in a fabulous forest!!! We are lucky that we got to the time of flowering of magnolia and lilac, oh this fragrance is charming and intoxicating!!! The feeling of delight and admiration at the sight of giant pines, Little Red Riding Hood walked through such a forest to her grandmother, in such a forest the Troubadour sang "the night will pass, the morning will come clear" to his princess from the Bremen Town musicians, in the same forest Shrek met Fiona! This is a great place!!! This is taking into account the fact that the greenhouse under reconstruction will take two hours to get around it in a small way, and if you "sit" and relax, then plus a couple of hours. According to my estimates, the area of the garden is like that of a microdistrict or maybe two. We came in from Temiryazev, where there is a parking lot two hundred meters away, the cost of which is 400 tenge, at the entrance you can go to the toilet so as not to look for bushes later)), there is also a cafe with tables on the street where you can have a snack, entrance is paid but not expensive and accessible to everyone, for adults 874 tenge, and for children 570 tenge. There is a stand with prices and a QR code of Caspi for those who want to pay through the application. Beautiful ponds with fish and swans fascinate and evoke a feeling of peace and tranquility, real relaxation. I visited with my wife, children and granddaughter and we all liked it. I recommend it!!!!
this is a safe and cultural place almost in the very center of the city, where you can calmly and culturally walk with the whole family with children everywhere there are clean places to relax, there are clean toilets, drinking water flows from taps, I have been drinking this water since childhood, it is redirected from the Almarisan gorge, it is cool and cozy everywhere it is a forest with various shrubs and varieties of many crops in vegetation.
The Botanical Garden is beyond praise. There are a lot of innovations that you may not have met yet. Well-groomed paths along which it is pleasant to walk between tall pines and ancient oaks. Beautiful cypresses and trimmed shrubs are pleasing to the eye. I never thought that there were so many varieties of lilac in the world. My eyes are falling out from such beauty. At the entrance to the pond, tender nymphaeum sprouts. Everyone can find their own cozy corner where you can just relax, because it is impossible to cover everything, the park is so huge in size.
Clean, beautiful, quiet in the city. Lots of greenery, benches for recreation, creative lighting, neat and fashionable haircuts of trees, shrubs and lawns, a lot of tulips in spring. The territory is large. Ponds with fish, swings. A large number of birds. The place was very impressive. It feels like the park is being watched and cared for. You can walk for quite a long time.
A great place for a family outing with the kids. It is very green and clean. The walking paths are clean and in excellent condition, there are benches everywhere for relaxing. The fish pond is a miracle. There are also swans on the lake. The only thing that upsets is the electric scooters that are in abundance there, it really spoils the atmosphere
I really liked walking here: beautiful central paths with ponds and flower beds, green arches, cozy maple, lime, pine alleys with garlands, and immediately winding paths where there is not a soul. Only the ubiquitous squirrels :) The Japanese kindergarten is so cute. Evening lighting transforms everything around, and you want to go around the garden again. It's a pity, the tropical pavilion does not accept people yet, it is closed for reconstruction.
one of the most favorite places in Almaty. Very clean, very beautiful, very well maintained. Be sure to visit everyone! There are carp, swans, and squirrels. And what hydrangeas, when they bloom.... It was at all seasons and always the garden is wonderful.
I love the Botanical Garden! A very quiet, peaceful, beautiful place! There is a lot of new infrastructure for recreation! Closer to nature! Clean, fresh air (especially in summer, the road near the fir trees and fir trees in the evening is so fresh, clean, cool)!
A kind of oasis in the city. Unfortunately, in recent years it has become more of a recreation park. I don't know how much scientific work is being done there now, but the place is wonderful for walking. It is a pity that the greenhouse was destroyed. I remember as a child we were taken there on excursions, and the smell of those tropical plants is still in my head. I do not believe that the need for study has disappeared, it just seems that everything has moved into the category of getting benefits.
There is an island of tranquility among the dusty, noisy city.
A place to relax. It's a great break from the hustle and bustle. Forget about problems and charge yourself with positivity.
The beautiful and unique nature will help to restore strength.
I recommend it to everyone without exception.
Gorgeous park: culturally, clean, great air. There are many benches where you can relax in the shade of the trees. The park is divided into zones with different vegetation dedicated to different natural areas. I highly recommend it.
It's a great location for a walk, we often come here. There are a couple of white swans and a variety of plants and trees. A Japanese garden has been implemented, there are coniferous trees like in the forest. Tea or coffee can be taken at the entrance of Timiryazev and Al-Farabi. Indeed, this garden is like the lungs of the city.
It's just beautiful! The nature is cool, the air is fresh, everything is green and unusual trees and plants in the greenhouse🫶🏼✅ an employee of the botanical garden, an instructor Zhulduz just showed and told everything that surrounds and grows here at the highest level👍
Of course, this is an ideal place for outdoor walks, but just as a botanical garden, not everything is so perfect. There are just a lot of bushes and overgrown territory, I have not found a flower garden, half of the plots are fenced and are not allowed there, and there it seems like the most interesting thing was behind bars. I liked only the ponds with water lilies and the Japanese garden.
To say that the nature in the garden is very beautiful is to say nothing. Relax from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax enjoying the picturesque countryside. Pheasants, squirrels, swans, and various types of fish live in the protected area. I definitely recommend the guests of Almaty to visit the main botanical garden!
Well-groomed large territory, lots of squirrels, greenery, lots of greenery!! Clean air!!!
In September, there was a beautiful view of the mountains.
A wonderful opportunity to spend some time with yourself, relax and unwind.
It's a cool place, it's cool in summer, but it's most beautiful in spring. There are a lot of flowering plants. There is a lake with carp and swans. At the entrance you can buy plants for the house, there is also a coffee shop
A delightful garden! It was the first time I had seen pheasants in such numbers in person. A large number of plants, different locations. There is a pond with swans and fish. It is a very interesting place for both tourists and locals.
it 's just a great place , but the entrance is too dreary, and everything is fine
if you come to be photographed with a photographer or something else, it's better to keep silent about it, be sure to take nuts with you, different nutritious things because there are proteins there that are not afraid of people and they can sit on you calmly, there are a lot of them, a lot of different trees , each of which has its own names, if you go deep there are lake with fish, ducks and pheasants
I really liked it, but I didn't have time to look through everything because the territory is very large
This is my favorite place in the city!!! There are only happy and joyful faces, couples in love, and children here... Everything is very well thought out, from the magnificent variety of plants and seasonal installations to drinking fountains, comfortable benches and picnic lawns!!! A great place to relax and recharge your batteries! I recommend it to tourists and residents of the city!
On the one hand, the park is very beautiful and well-maintained, there are many flowers, signs near the trees, squirrels run, there are benches, there is a shop and a cafe. But the other part of it is overgrown with waist-high weeds, it is completely unclear what kind of trees grow, there are few signs, medicinal plants can only be looked at through a fence from afar.
A great place to walk! The air is very clean! The roads are very neat! There are a lot of squirrels that run around really fast and may even come up to you! In the morning, you can join a group of runners. On the official website you can see the prices for admission and sports passes.
A gorgeous botanical garden. There are many convenient benches of different formats, on some you can sunbathe-relax reclining))
A lot of shade, a variety of plants. The Crimean zone is magical! One of the wishes is to add a couple of points of sale of water and snacks.
A great place for walking, fresh fragrant air, well-groomed plants, gorgeous views of the snow-capped peaks of the Trans-Ili Alatau. There are a lot of animals, from squirrels and chipmunks to pheasants and grouse.
It is very beautiful, the number of colors makes an impression! You can walk for several hours and admire)) The entry price is quite loyal. We always make sure to go to the Japanese corner, I recommend it
It's a great place to walk. This is really a botanical garden, not a park. A significant part of the plants are signed. The garden is zoned according to natural areas. It is definitely worth staying here several times, since the plants are planted in such a way that the flowering of some is replaced by others and the garden looks new every month.
The Botanical Garden is a must-visit place for tourists in Almaty. There are shady paths with birches and pines, comfortable benches for relaxing, ponds that give coolness and in general a lot of beauty around.
The weather in Almaty is "Indian Summer", it pleases all days! Today I visited our botanical garden, I was pleasantly surprised by the large number of visitors of different ages. There were several other groups (Chinese, Hindus).
I walked along the paths to the Japanese garden, to the lake with swans and fish, took a lot of photos. Alleys, benches, flower beds, shrubs, flowers, trees with signs - all this together, all this multicolour pleases and gives hope in the future. I thank all the employees who are involved in this vibrant blooming garden in the center of our beautiful Almaty! Outside of politics, outside of the weather- the garden is there, blooms, turns green and helps (I think so) visitors to relax, gain new strength, energy, cheerfulness.
I recommend residents and guests to visit the unique world of plants and hold an autumn photo shoot this year.
By the way: For pensioners, the entrance for the whole month of October is free, free.
A great place for evening walks. I saw pheasants, owls, squirrels, carp. It's cool and fresh. There is a large parking lot with electric car chargers on the Al-Farabi side.
I recommend you to visit.A great place to walk and relax. It is very beautiful, there are many flowering plants, everything is fragrant. The view of the mountains from anywhere in the park is impressive.
The place is very picturesque! However, it is definitely worth visiting it at least once! A lot of interesting and useful information is posted on the stands in the center of the park. There are many types of plants. In general, it is clear that the park staff treat this place very carefully, with care and love. Every corner is thought out to the smallest detail. An energetically unusual place.
A wonderful place for outdoor walks! It is very well maintained, it is wonderful here at any time of the year. It is especially beautiful here in spring, everything is blooming! I recommend you to visit.
The garden park is pleasant, spacious, and seemed rather boring for walking this season. Nevertheless, it is quite picturesque. It's nice to meet the staff, who, you know, I can't pay with a Russian card, missed it for free.
One of the oldest, coupled with science, is the Botanical Garden... After the reconstruction, by the way, it has not yet been completed, so far the best, in my opinion, in Kazakhstan...But it is still very far from perfect... It is possible and necessary to invest and invest in it in order to show its amazing diversity ... The main thing is that this is just the beginning... Or it might not have been... Or the townspeople would have seen it in a truncated form... Not by night, the aforementioned Baibek wanted to make a "backyard" of the representative Palace for the international forum out of it... Thankfully, the Almaty residents did not allow this act of vandalism to be committed with a garden and a nearby tethered Fence...Actually, for me, Galitsky Park in Krasnodar is an example of perfection...
A magnificent garden, one of the few places in Almaty where you can really go and walk with pleasure, especially since there are very few such places in general, not counting the mountains, of course, I advise everyone to visit, prices do not bite, everything is civilized and very cool👍
Amazing botsad. It is very pleasant to walk, beautiful diverse vegetation. I do not advise you to come at noon in the heat, there is not shade everywhere. But in the cool or shade - perfect!
A pleasant, beautiful place, loved by the townspeople. Beautiful flowers, trees, fish, swans, clean air, nice to walk, relax. By the way, the entrance is paid, 800 tenge, not expensive...
A beautiful beautiful place with its own history. You can just take a great walk, hide from the heat, or you can book an excursion. The guides are very nice, the excursions are very interesting, at any level, you don't have to be an expert in botany, and in general everything is somehow unusually cozy. There is a beautiful pond with colorful Japanese carp and swans, benches, and beauty in general!
It is very beautiful, many beautiful flowers, very comfortable benches, there is a lake with a swan, beautiful alleys with different trees, there is a cafe where you can have a snack
The garden is cool, I advise everyone to visit our botanical garden, the nature is very beautiful, trees ponds, lotus fish of many different colors! It's very beautiful there!
It's a great place. Lots of squirrels, beautiful plants, everything is well maintained and comfortable. Ponds with fish and swans, ponds with frogs and pheasants walking everywhere.
Entrance is paid, but it is very pleasant to walk there with a stroller. A small garden, but clean. Paths, mtni-reservoirs. There is a cafe at the entrance where you can buy coffee and have a snack
A wonderful and at the same time gorgeous botanical garden!😍
I wish everyone to visit this garden and believe me, you will not regret, the entrance is not so expensive (875 tenge).
I advise you to visit the sections of the Japanese Garden and North America. The species there are extraordinary, and there are also small squirrels in the East Asian section, they are almost tame there;)
If you want to appease them, then take some nuts😁 You will get very cool and funny pictures.
I will definitely say YES! This place😉
A great place, so many beautiful and rare trees, you recharge with energy, a place of strength, you can take more sticks for Scandinavian walking and mileage to find food for squirrels, squirrels are ready to take food from your hands, sometimes they even chase you in anticipation of something delicious. The fir trees are generally super, although they are found many places in Almaty and there are many beautiful specimens on the territory of Atakent. On a sunny and hot day, it is better to put something on your head, for example, a panama hat, or cover yourself with an umbrella from the sun. The cafe is poor at the entrance, it is better to go to those that are closer to the exhibition.
The views are wonderful. The plants are diverse. The paths are spacious. I liked everything very much. I will definitely return on my next visit, I need to visit and see everything that I did not have time to see
It's a wonderful place. It takes 3 hours to see everything. But you can spend the whole day there. There is a picnic area with benches and tables. Don't miss the swan pond. There is a cafe at the entrance where you can relax, have a snack, and drink coffee. The view when leaving the cafe is mesmerizing
