Unfortunately, my experience at gymnasium No. 1 in Polotsk left an unpleasant impression.
Firstly, the Russian language teacher, Vetrova, demonstrated a low level of competence in teaching. She gives good grades only to those students who are more sympathetic to her, which creates an atmosphere of injustice and demotivates others.
Secondly, throughout the school year, we have heard negative predictions from teachers about our success. Constant statements that we are "stupid" and will not be able to pass exams have severely undermined our confidence and desire to study. Support and motivation from teachers were almost non-existent.
In addition, with the arrival of the new principal, many strong and competent teachers have left the gymnasium. The director recruited familiar teachers who cannot explain the material properly. This negatively affects the quality of the educational process and the academic performance of students.
I hope that the gymnasium will pay attention to these problems in the future and improve the situation for its students.
