The place is great, I really liked it! They showed and told a lot of interesting things about the complex. We managed to climb to the very top of the hub by stairs. The elevator is not working yet. Tickets came out at 55,000 soums/person, there were three of us, guide services were included in the price. There's nothing to do there without a guide. We took a taxi from Tashkent, and 125,000 soums left the southern railway station. We agreed with the taxi driver to wait for 50,000 soums and back for 125,000 soums. It took about 1.5 hours along with the guided tour and a free walk.
It is a very interesting object, it definitely makes sense to get here and see. I advise you to take a tour, it's quite exciting, without it it's just an unusual location. They will tell you about the scientific component and with the help of small (relative to the main installation) mirrors they will demonstrate how solar energy is able to set fire to a tree, melt a piece of iron and burn a brick in a few seconds, it is especially interesting for children, but adults are also delighted)
An interesting place. We had an incredible guide, who involved us in all the stories and processes with his charisma.
How to get there: Any day from 8 to 17. It is better to specify the cost by phone (use the contacts from the comment below), because for citizens of another country it costs a little more.
Well, I'm delighted, it's beautiful
The complex is open for tourists to visit. To organize excursions, please contact the contacts on the website of the Institute of Materials Science of Uzbekistan. The second phone number in the contacts. I advise you to take a guided tour with scientific information. It is very interesting and informative. Conducted by an employee of the Institute.
I am glad that the complex is beginning to be repaired. They are currently conducting research there. They create new materials.
Well, for those who are looking for an interesting location for a photo, this is exactly the place. A good view of the mountains and the fantastic scale of the building itself is a unique symbiosis.
I really liked it. I don't understand why they talk about some kind of decline in resolution. The complex performed its functions, now the need has fallen, but this does not mean that everything is bad. Great tour, views, technology. It is better to go on a sunny day😂
A VERY interesting and unusual place, with beautiful views and interesting excursions! And it is very promising for introducing young people to science! I would like to wish that the first laboratory was restored and, using its example, those interested were introduced to the principle of operation of heliostats, and M.B. would even show a film about the work of this and others.laboratories, a little bit about the FT Institute as a whole! I recommend visiting this place with children on a sunny day!
A unique technical facility. If you replace the elements on the hub, you can achieve a unique 3000 ° C (today, due to the fact that the mirrors are "darkened", the maximum temperature is 1800 ° C).
What is unique? Due to the fact that this temperature is reached without an energy carrier, respectively, gorenje products are absent in the heating/melting process.
A very impressive strategic object of the last years of the USSR. Production of ultrapure materials for space and beyond. It has been working up to now. We were on an excursion from Tashkent. I liked it so much that we arrived later for the second time!
I never could have thought that we have such a facility in Uzbekistan. It is a pity that it is not working at full capacity now. As we were told, there are only occasional studies.
A beautiful place with an interesting history, not far from the city. They conduct an interesting and informative tour. I advise you to visit. It will be interesting for both adults and children.
Great place!
It will not leave anyone indifferent, the guests of the heliocomplex will feel the scale of the equipment and the greatness of the mountains against the background!
