The Garden of Gethsemane is located at the foot of the Mount of Olives. Here the Lord prayed before His Sufferings and was taken into custody by the guards brought by Judas. It is currently a small garden (47×50 m) in Gethsemane. There are eight very ancient olives in the garden. Three of them are among the oldest known to science. As a result of radiocarbon analysis of the oldest parts of the trunks of these three trees, the dates 1092, 1166 and 1198 AD were obtained. The garden is open for free from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00, seven days a week.
