The three of us were on 09/06/2024, the restaurant is atmospheric, beautiful, pleasant music and delicious food (some). Thanks to the waiter for the super service, she really watched our table, helped with the selection of dishes. Unfortunately, there were no langoustines and ribs in the restaurant, we took mussels and salmon with saffron sauce - it was really delicious, the combination of mussels with cream cheese sauce is a win-win option. Very cool lavender bread, pleasantly surprised, I have never seen this anywhere!
Now the wishes. We took two portions of shrimp in wine sauce, it seemed like an interesting option. PLEASE refine the shrimp sauce, it should have a wine flavor, sourness - there is nothing left of white wine at all. I would try to change the wine and thicken the sauce so that it doesn't drain off the shrimp. This is my unsolicited advice, it's just that for now it's stupidly boiled shrimp.
The apple strudel was terrifyingly sweet! The sweetest thing in this dish should be ice cream. The cook put apple jam in there, after which I would call the strudel "hello to diabetics." It's hard to eat🥲

The Gagripsh restaurant (Gagrypsh) is one of the symbols of the city of Gagra. Gagripsh is located opposite the fountain in the Seaside Park in Staraya Gagra. The structure of the restaurant is a symbol of the birth of Gagra as a world kuroft.
The building for the restaurant was brought disassembled from Scandinavia in 1902. This building was bought at the Paris exhibition by the founder of the Gagra resort, Prince
A. P.Oldenburgsky. The peculiarity of the building is that the entire structure is assembled without metal fasteners.
The building for the palace of the Princess of Oldenburg was also bought there.
*Unfortunately, the palace building has not been preserved to this day.
In 1903, the construction of the restaurant building was completed, and on January 9, 1903, the Gagripsh restaurant hosted the grand opening of the Gagra resort.

An iconic restaurant in Staraya Gagra. We were on a walk for the first time, we decided to visit. Inside there is a very atmospheric hall, large and beautiful.
There were few people, despite the lunch hour. But this is mainly because of the deposit system, at least 1,500 per person, and those who wanted to run in for coffee, take pictures and run away left.
The service was unhurried but professional😉
In principle, the food is not bad, the prince dessert is very good, for the rest of the dishes for four, I thought there would be a wow effect, but no. The price tag is Moscow and for a full meal for two, we spent an amount exceeding the deposit exactly twice as much🤦♀️
Anyway, I advise you to go at least once, it's worth it.

Recently, my family and I visited the Gagripsh restaurant in Abkhazia.
It is a place with a rich history and unique architecture. The restaurant building is a real monument of the early 20th century. It was built without the use of machinery and has survived many trials.
The restaurant's interior is decorated in the style of the early 20th century. Everything here reminds of that time: furniture, dishes, atmosphere.The restaurant's menu features dishes of Abkhaz and European cuisine. We tried several dishes, which turned out to be very tasty. I especially remember khachapuri and shish kebab.The prices in the restaurant were pleasantly surprised — they turned out to be quite affordable.The service in the restaurant was top notch. The waiters were attentive and polite, answered questions and helped with the selection of dishes.The Gagripsh restaurant left a pleasant impression. We will be happy to come back here again and recommend this place to friends and acquaintances.

We visited the restaurant with the whole family, we really liked it, it was large, spacious, beautiful and comfortable, live music and song performance. We tried an exclusive wine, semi-sweet red, it is nowhere on sale, it is made only for this restaurant, but you can buy it from them, very delicate, soft to the taste. Excellent serving of dishes, I highly recommend trying the ear royally, it's just some kind of masterpiece and in general the whole serving of dishes is a gorgeous masterpiece. In general, we liked it, sooo recommend it, but they have a condition of 2000 per person, I do not know what it is called correctly, but you are warned about it and YES, book in advance, especially for the evening, there are a lot of people, although there are a lot of tables 🤩

A place for one time. Visiting the restaurant did not leave the most pleasant impressions. There is beautiful nature around, a park nearby. The atmosphere inside is also quite pleasant. The historical place really doesn't look like that anymore. There are photos reminiscent of the old days. And next to the sign "it is forbidden to walk around the restaurant - a fine of 1000 rubles." Funny. They meet you, give you a menu, point to empty tables. There are many of them even in the evening. Rather, due to the fact that the deposit is now 2000 rubles per person. Children under 10 are a little less, but still ... it is possible to eat for such an amount. To do this, you can order alcohol, the same one from the store is three times cheaper. Or take food with you. And do not forget that you pay 10 percent of the order amount for the service. This is included in the deposit. And the service may not be worth it. We were served by a waitress who does not know what is included in the dishes.... In such a restaurant, where prices are higher than in Moscow. And she ate completely ordinary food. Maybe we ordered one. But it was just no different from the same dishes, but three times cheaper. The only thing that definitely brightened up the dinner at the restaurant was live singing and calm classical music. But even she won't make you come a second time.

A beautiful atmospheric restaurant. Live music every evening. The service is excellent. A variety of dishes, but as for me, the prices are slightly too high for some dishes, the quality does not match the stated price. But I really liked their signature wine and khachapuri. An iconic place of Abkhazia, the most famous restaurant built by Prince of Oldenburg in Gagra.. It is believed that the history of this building began in 1900 at the World's Fair in Paris, which was visited by Alexander Oldenburgsky. The prince liked the building, so he bought it and ordered delivery in disassembled form to Gagra. The building was transported in parts not from Paris, but from distant Scandinavia and installed on a prepared foundation without a single nail.
The Gagripsh restaurant opened its doors in 1903. It was here that the first dinner party was held in honor of the opening of the resort. According to the idea, it was supposed to be more than just a restaurant. The room was designed in such a way that it could easily turn into a concert hall for 350 spectators. If necessary, casino tables were even set up here. Gagripsh became a popular institution throughout Abkhazia, and not only in tsarist times. What can't be said about tourists!!! So they really ruined everything, flew into the restaurant, started indiscriminately taking pictures of everyone and everything. Yes, the building itself is old and very beautiful, and it is allowed to take pictures before entering! But why run to the middle of the hall and take pictures of people dining is unclear!

The food is delicious, but not a gastronomic journey. We ordered: a boat with an egg, meat in Abkhaz style, fricassee for the Prince of Oldenburg, grilled vegetables, asparagus, baked Brie. A large portion of fricassee, for two or one very hungry man)) homemade lemonades are a credit. It is better not to order a boat if you have tried a really delicious one, here is the dough of the crumpet. Everything else is normal. Too loud live music spoils the overall impression, it hits your ears and you won't be able to talk.

Gagripsh restaurant is an architectural monument, but not a place for eating. Look at the reviews: only about 50% recommend food here, and the rest come for a photo of a beautiful and unique building from the beginning of the XX century.
One day in the afternoon we decided to have lunch and the receptionist kindly informed us that the Gagripsh restaurant has a deposit system in place to sit down at a table! Deposit in September 2024: 2000 rubles per person, that is, for two at lunch it would be 4000 rubles - without wine it is a lot to eat, but photos of dishes from guests do not cause the slightest appetite.
The Gagripsh restaurant needs a good chef to improve the appearance and taste of dishes, and cancel deposits: people will go with great pleasure!

In Gagripsha, the only good thing is a gorgeous building and the opportunity to smoke on the balcony, where Stalin and Nicholas 2 may have smoked, not together naturally.

The kitchen is absolutely nothing special, especially for such prices, at best it is normal, just like in a good half of the cafes on the coast
Music is a set of compositions for an amateur, the question is to who set up the sound. It is almost impossible to talk at a table, apparently you need to come alone or with someone you do not intend to talk to
The staff is the cherry on this "cake", from the entrance you are immediately asked: "we have a 2k deposit, are you ready to stay?", then a selective "good evening" (xs why don't they greet everyone), the waiter first gives the menu only for drinks, and then giggling, wonders why we haven't done anything yet they did not choose and reluctantly goes for the food menu (literally it was, giggled under her breath without any hints of apology in this situation), when asked to bring napkins (they were not at our table) - she brought them, putting them on the corner farthest from us, that I had to reach across the table for them, Well, at least not on the floor :D. I tried to pick up the plates before the meal was over.
In general, I do not recommend it, if the service were better and the kitchen tastier, I would put it a little higher, and so 1 out of 5, purely for historicity.

I've been dreaming of visiting for a long time... It was successful today. The exterior of the building is impressive, inside too.. The spirit of the times and epochs is evident, I liked the furnishings and decorations. However, there are disadvantages... Kitchen...we ordered for 2:1 grilled salmon steak with champignons and 1 rack of lamb with baked potatoes, 1 branded gagripsh salad, 1 smoothie and 1 bottle of cola, we gave 10 200.00 and everything would be fine, but the sweetness is terrible, there is no taste from the word at all, the lamb has half a plate of long bones and a little moreover, the aftertaste after the meat is not very pleasant, the salad initially thought they forgot to season with dressing, the salmon steak is a decent size, but somehow it was simply cauterized at the stake, forgetting to season at least with something. Of course we tried it, but the whole appetite was beaten off by those who cooked it, half of the food remained on the plates, it just didn't work out to eat with pleasure. I give 3 stars for everything in this restaurant except the kitchen. It's a pity, guys! Really sorry about the spoiled impression! I hope the situation will improve, because this is Gagra's business card.

A complete disappointment!
On the plus side: it's beautiful, the second floor smells very pleasantly of wood, the view from the windows and that's it!
Cons: it's not tasty, I didn't like anything at all.
- The tongue was overcooked in a frying pan
- the Prince's salad is generally tasteless, a bunch of lettuce leaves, two shrimp, two mussels, a couple pieces of avocado and the whole salad. Refueling was not felt at all.
- carbonara, well, it seems to be an elementary dish, but even it turned out to be nothing.
- strudel, very sweet, lots of toppings and fried dough, the feeling is not today's. For an amateur, the children did not eat ((
They took some other national dish, but they tried it in a simple cafe, and it was 100 times tastier.

Visiting this restaurant is a mistake of the whole vacation in Abkhazia . To be honest, it would be better to throw a shawl at the station. We ordered homemade pickles, we thought we'd put the cherries up now, as a result we brought a bunch of sooo weakly pickled cabbage and one cucumber (it was a shock). Further more when the waitress came up and asked if she liked everything ? The answer was immediately given: no homemade pickles are a complete mess, to which she replied: we don't like it ourselves. Most of the dishes on the menu are not from the word at all.., why are Abkhazian dishes in Abkhazia?the waiter advised (more precisely, there was practically nothing else)the meat, which is supposedly the favorite of the Prince of Odenbursky, is in fact julienne in a frying pan in the common people (hryuchevo).It is clear that this institution works for the flow of photographers, but you are a RESTAURANT!!!! We only came to Gagra for a day. Before leaving, we decided to take a look at this restaurant. We were very impressed with this atmospheric, gorgeous historical place! How gorgeous everything is inside, as if you get into some kind of ancient castle, what a decoration, it's impossible to look away! We ordered khachapuri in Adjarian style with cheese and mushrooms, non-alcoholic mojito. To say that we are delighted with khachapuri is not to say anything! It's incredibly delicious!!! And what a delicate toast-it just melts in your mouth! We have eaten khachapuri more than once in various cafes and restaurants, but these have had a WOW effect on us! The market is so-so - you can buy fruits, greens, vegetables, BUT the prices are the same as in the store. It's just convenient that you can choose in one place. I wouldn't take cheeses or meat from the market. And so the rest was a success! Weather, nature. Beach holidays on 3 out of 5. The entire coastal area is equipped with floating equipment (motorcycles, catamarans, boats ...), the owners of which do not take into account the interests of vacationers. The water in the fuel stains is dirty, and the aroma of gasoline hovers in the air. If desired, you can find a secluded place, but probably not in season.
And yes, there are a lot of mosquitoes. They appear in the evening and break into the house in all ways.We used a fumigator in the room, but still everyone went bitten, it's something...

At the entrance to the restaurant, they immediately warn that the minimum check per person is 1500 rubles, if the guests are satisfied with the price, then go through. If not, then unfold. TK the restaurant has its own more than a century-old history of its existence, many come to take a look. So that there is no passing yard, and crowds, when people eat in a restaurant, there is such a screening of visitors. Satisfied with the price, sit down at a table, order dishes and sit-go look at the whole interior inside.

I was in Gagra for the first time, we stayed at a hotel in Novaya Gagra.There's not much to walk around, just the beach, and no attractions.
The most beautiful is the Old Gagra, a beautiful embankment.
Gagripsh restaurant (which was built 120 years ago by the Prince of Oldenburg),a deposit of 1,500rubles per person in the restaurant.
There is also a ruined Castle of the Prince of Oldenburg, it will not be possible to see it in the vicinity, it is located on a hill, and the passage to it is blocked.
We were there in the middle of May, of course we couldn't swim in the sea, but we walked well, there were practically no people on the beach, and we really liked it.

We came especially to celebrate a birthday. To say that you are very satisfied will not be enough! Stunning modern interior (and a good view from any table), very tasty food. A special discovery is an exclusive local wine, amazing smell, taste and aftertaste! Live music after 19 hours with a good repertoire, selected with taste. Of course, this is an iconic place and one of the most beautiful business cards of Abkhazia. This restaurant was bought by the Prince of Oldenburg somewhere far away in the north of Abkhazia, disassembled, brought to Gagra and assembled. Its appearance has hardly changed since the tsarist times. The food is very tasty, but the price tag also matches. The girls will of course take a lot of beautiful photos there.

But in fact, visiting the attraction left a negative impression. Unfriendly waiters. The deposit per person is 1500 rubles (that is, you can't just drink coffee here). Signs on the walls that "it is forbidden to walk around the restaurant, the fine is 1000 rubles") 🙈
After a rather long dialogue at the entrance with the "hostess", we were nevertheless invited to the table. There were many items missing from the menu. Ice cubes crunched in the ice cream that accompanied the apple pie.
Summary : you can take a peek (if you succeed) with one eye. But I personally do not recommend spending an evening (or day) here

The kitchen was not impressed at all, some kind of ordinary food. I ordered a salad, grilled tongue and grilled vegetables too. The tongue wasn't bad, but it was just boiled, it didn't come into contact with the grill. The vegetables were cold for some reason, as if they had been cooked long before the order. The salad is ordinary. The deposit is 2000 rubles per person, but considering the price tag, it is not difficult to order for this amount. I did not like the position "10% service", while they additionally write in the receipt that you can leave a tip.

I really liked it. A restaurant with restored historical interiors. It's a very atmospheric place. Live music, coupled with delicious food, sets you up for a positive mood. When we fought with the only shrimp in the salad, we got a stream of red shrimp juice on a white dress, the first time I saw this. They took the legendary royal ear, which everyone is talking about. The set of royal fish soup includes a vodka stopper (there are no questions about it, like for sizzle and pearl barley, as well as pronounced biodynamics, this is Royal vodka), a sandwich with butter and caviar (salmon caviar, medium size) and a lemon, as well as directly fish suspension. The perceived consumer value of fish soup is about 400, well, 600 rubles. But not 940. This is already a kitsch. What is really on the top five is a khachapuri boat. Solely for her sake, it's worth coming in, pampering yourself. The only dish that was not regretted. And yes, we dined with the idea of 4 stars, but a fly fell from the ceiling onto the table, a couple of centimeters from my ear. It's just a great place!
The food is beyond praise. We took pork loin, meat steak (meat dishes are simply divine, very tasty dishes). We ordered a salad (it was very tasty, but a lot of oil spoiled it). Also, we took an exclusive wine for this restaurant (the wine is very tasty). The food is just great, I really liked it!
The service is excellent. The waiters are friendly, know the menu and can recommend interesting combinations of food, wine and tea!
The staff is extremely pleasant!
The atmosphere and interior are simply magical (it was January 3rd). Live classical music, garlands, antique interior do their job. The appearance of Gagripsh and the interior are simply excellent!
In general, this is a great place that I advise all lovers of classical music and clothes to visit!

I was waiting for something unusual from this popular place: delicious local cuisine, attentive service. The menu upset us: the dishes are very ordinary, mostly European cuisine, the presentation is not interesting, the cost is high. Wine with a huge margin and tasteless. This restaurant definitely lacks a competent, modern approach to service. But it could have turned out to be a really wonderful restaurant.

We were two years ago at 22, wrote a review, disappeared somewhere. The building itself is just a beauty, from the Valhalla game!! But already at 22 I gave a rating of 3, since the food is so-so, I waited for meat for 2 hours, it is not possible to eat. But my daughter and wife liked the sweets and lemonade. And at 24, we decided to go in for a drink of lemonade and eat sweets with tea. But no!!! With brooms glued instead of eyelashes, she said that they were allowed only with a limit of 2000 rubles. To the answer that we will not eat lemonade and sweets with tea for so much, the spinner standing next to us. Probably protects this one with brooms from the disgruntled arrogance of the aborigines who seized the historical place. He said that with our prices and 10 percent on tips, it's easy, even on lemonade with tea!
And for the justified desire to see a beautiful building, the aborigines take a fine of 6000 rubles. Moreover, in a very persistent form, in the Aboriginal language where our native Russian is heard.

The place is old, beautiful, we have always wanted to visit it, but it is so purely for history to tell about it. We waited an hour for a table to be vacated, there were a lot of people, the hall was full. The receptionist and the waiter are very friendly. We ordered local cuisine, meat in Abkhazian, hominy with 3 types of cheese, royal khachapuri, cold cuts, a bottle of red wine. Everything except khachapuri was tasteless. The wine tastes cheap, and the price is probably 3 times cheaper then in the store. The service is fast, without complaints. The music was lively and very pleasant. In general, the prices are too high, the kitchen should be worked on. A place for once in my opinion.

It was 07.09.2024. Of the advantages, the violin was playing. The signature Gagripsh salad disappointed. The menu does not specify the composition and calculation of this dish. When asked about the composition, the waiter said that it includes beef tenderloin, bell pepper, cucumber. As a result, the salad was mostly Chinese cabbage, and it was quite spicy. When I asked why this happened and what the ratio of ingredients should be, the waiter politely advised me to order those dishes that you know and that there is now a new chef who has completely changed the recipe for the signature salad. Gagripsh restaurant is an atmospheric place, undoubtedly you want to come here. My advice is not to be fascinated by his cuisine in advance, so as not to be disappointed later. More recently, to eat here, the order must be at least 2000 rubles per person + 10% fee.
